I haven't quite finished Electric Idol yet but I couldn't put off reading this preview until then! I've always loved the myth behind Achilles and Patroclus and to add Helen of Troy into the mix? I am BEYOND excited for this one!

The preview definitely lived up to my expectations as well! From the beginning Helen is shown as a determined character, wanting to forge her own destiny and willing to do the unexpected to gain her freedom. We have the two men who are utterly devoted to each other, but also a connection between one of the men and Helen from the past. It adds a new dynamic to their relationship and I'm already excited at the amount of tension there already!

Also this is a preview of just the first 5 chapters and already there is a blistering hot sex scene! Roberts certainly knows how to being the steam.

I cannot wait to read the rest of this one when it releases. It's going to be a very fun and sexy ride!

The first 5 chapters set the story up nicely! I love getting insight into characters I’ve already met in the other stories. Helen is a wonderfully deep character who isn’t as she appears. Achilles and Patroclus are a hot couple of dudes who love each other and also like to be fluid in their escapades. I can’t WAIT to see what the three of them get into when the book comes out!

I’m so eager to finish this book. Achilles and Patroclus have always been an enticing couple from Greek mythology but adding Helen into the mix? This is going to be one captivating read!
Electric Idol expanded on a lot of the politics set up in Neon Gods and I expect this book to do the same. The plot both makes sense within this world and fits well into the lore of Helen.
Honestly I’ve yet to be disappointed by Katee Robert and I’m planning to read every book in this series!

I've heard praises about this particular author and reading the previews convinces me that those said praises were right. The setting of the story was already interesting. I loved the idea of Olympians in a modern world. Then you add in a very determined heroine and two guys who are devoted to each other and now you have my complete attention! Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus already caught my interest and I'm so excited to read more about them. It does have its flaws and it's not completely perfect. But I do have to admit that the Dark Olympus series has intrigued me a lot.

It's hard to judge a book (in all regards: pacing, romantic development, etc) from just a preview, but I can say this one seems good so far. Helen has a lot of agency, which is impressive and makes me think the plot of this will be good. The set up for the romance seems a bit messy, but still, my hopes are pretty high.

Loved it! Can’t wait until the whole thing is out! Katee Robert once again kills it with her stories

I don’t know who at Sourcebooks created this teaser but they have to be a sadist. Part of the Dark Olympus series, this book is a retelling of Helen of Troy. There is an open position among the 13 leaders of Olympus, anyone can enter the trials and the winner gets the position and Helen as a bride. Helen has other ideas and enters the contest to escape the role she’s been playing her whole life. She finds herself facing Achilles and Patroclus among many other combatants. This teaser was only five chapters and has me prepared to get on my knees and beg for more. There’s deceit, drama, danger, flirting, and blisteringly hot sex just in the teaser. The wait for publication in June is going to be very, very hard.

I NEED TO READ AHEAD. The first 5 pages were so intriguing. They left us wanting for more 😭
So, I have not read Katee’s previous books although I have them in my TBR. But when I got an opportunity to try her out- I wasn’t disappointed.

You don’t need to read previous books necessarily as she has explained her world impeccably to us. Although it is recommended to read previous books- I am going to go and do that while I wait for this book to come

So this is in the genre I normally read, but I’ve seen this author’s name a lot so thought that a preview would be the perfect opportunity to check it out.
I also love alternative versions of fairytales, myths, and other classic stories so this appealed to me. And I did appreciate the Olympus characters in a “contemporary” setting.

If this were a contest for using the word “fuck” most often in a page. The would certainly win the gold medal. however, it was so overused that it started to become a joke, and distracted from the rest of the story. I couldn’t even focus on what was happening because I was too busy counting how many times the word was used on a page. Thus, thanks for the preview, I’ll skip the rest.

I read this right after finishing Electric Idol, I loved it and hate that I can’t read the full novel. I have found that her MMF couple romances are some of my favourites, like The Beast is my top choice in her Wicked Villains series (still have to finish the last two). The dynamic is a bit different since the males are already an established couple and one of them has an old connection to Helen. This definitely is going to have a big focus on the politics of Olympus, more so than usual and it’s also the first book where we don’t have a main character from Demeter’s daughters. Everybody has so many connections to each other anyways. Helen is very intriguing to me, she is very bold, feminist and stubborn. But she also shows a bit of a soft side as well.

This was a great preview. In 5 chapters I was completely engaged and drawn in by the chemistry between these three characters. A fantastic continuation to this fascinating and very original series.

I really enjoyed this little preview and I will definitely be reading the rest of this when it comes out! I am already in love with Helen and her “slay my own dragons” attitude! I also can’t wait to see how this love triangle plays out! Enemies to throuple? I’m in! I love Katee’s writing. I don’t read too much erotica but I can’t not read hers! They are just too good!

Katee Robert has perfected writing a novel within a series with Dark Olympus and Wicked Beauty is no different. Read as a stand alone you receive enough information about this world to understand the premise of this story, while you don’t need to read the previous two they do stand to enhance the world building. These characters continue to surprise and enthrall me with every turn of the page! I can already tell within 5 chapters that as soon as I get my hands on this book I won’t put it down until it’s finished and I won’t stop thinking about it long after! A definite must read and I can’t wait to see where the rest of this series will lead!

I was so disappointed when I hit the end of this preview - it was SO good. I love the idea of using Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus for this installment. I can definitely see how anyone that loves the Dark Olympus series will also love this story, even if it is different slightly with a poly relationship. I thought this came out next month for some reason and now I'm devastated I have to wait until June! The small bit we get of Achillies' perspective about Helen - you just know the chemistry is going to be hot. Then the bit with Helen and Patroclus? HOT! AND THEN Patroclus and Achillies? Just 5 chapters in and already the stage has been set for this throuple and I am here for it! I feel the characters already have really good motives and backstory just in these first few chapters that I am very interested to delve deeper into the trials to be Ares.

I can’t wait for this. I love this series and it’s getting spiced up with a competition. Can’t wait to read the full novel!

AHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I want it!!!!! I need the whole thing!!! My hands are aching for this tthrouple!!! I wasn't prepared for Helen to join this mix but I am not mad at it. Very happy for Katee Robert and her success.

This preview makes me even more excited and impatient for this book to be released. I love anything to do with Greek mythology, and the way Katee Robert is able to weave political intrigue along with quite a bit of spice is incredible. I've been excited to read more about Helen, since first getting to know her in Electric Idol, and this preview makes me even more so.
