I think this is the perfect resource for users just starting out and exisiting creators/reviewers that are looking to stay up to date on what works well for their platform of choice. It is packed with tips for NetGalley newbies and creators looking to create the best content possible for their brand. I highly recommend reading through the toolkit and finding actionable takeaways to help improve your content creation.

If you’re on Netgalley, or thinking about it, this is the first book you should download and read. There are guidelines on types of members, how to take your reviews to the next level, FAQs on who approves you as a reader/reviewer, and more. There is also information on the difference between “Read Now” books and the other ones where you have to ask for approval. Keeping your Feedback Ration at 80% and above is crucial to getting approvals.

You’ll also learn how to give a review that actually works, how to tag publishers, how to use social media outlets, videos, blogs, and Goodreads. No, you don’t have to use all this, but there are guidelines for the things you do use.

Recommendation: Do yourself and the publishers a favor and read over these guidelines. I’ve been on Netgalley almost since the beginning and I learned some things I never knew. Definitely recommended.

I found NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit to be easy to read with a bevy of useful tips and tricks on all things book reviewer.
Prior to reading the Advocate Toolkit, I had not considered creating a social media presence or blog for book reviews - I simply enjoy reading new books to order and recommend for my library. The clear and concise language walks the reader through how to write a great review as well as the steps involved in becoming a content creator. The narrative voice is just encouraging and cheerful enough to make the reader want to make the big leap to online reviewer without going overboard.
Overall a fantastic easy to read and implement title.

It is a short read, with easy-to-read chapters in an entertaining style. The look of the pages is fun and not at all boring.

Tips include how to write a good review, how to keep the review ratio up on NetGalley and more. There is also plenty of information about different platforms and how to grow as a book reviewer on these platforms.

The toolkit provides information for newbies, and can be a refresher course for people who have been writing reviews for a while. It contains up-to-date tips worth reading as a (arc) book reviewer.

I recommend anyone who is a book reviewer (from NetGalley) to read it.

I really appreciated this short and sweet guide from NetGalley on how to be a good member of the ARC reviewer community! I’m new to the platform but pretty familiar with Goodreads and the bookish communities on social media, so while parts of this guide were brand new to me, the discussion about other platforms wasn’t as much. Even so, it was nice to have everything in one place, and I learned some new things! It’s also quite approachable and well laid out, and I especially liked the focus on accessibility in reviews and on social media.

Would highly recommend to someone brand new to NetGalley, and even more so to someone wanting to get started on a blog, YouTube, or social media account with no idea where to start. It’ll walk you through the basics quickly and easily!

A fantastic resource giving tips and advice not just on how to use Netgalley, but also for the various different social media platforms that are important when reviewing books. Learned a lot on how to properly use NetGalley. I thought ot would easy to read books, take pictures, and then upload them to social media. Boy, was I wrong!! There is definitely an art to it. NetGalley Toolkit is definitely a help guide that I will be referencing for future reviews.
