Very helpful to navigate and make full use of NetGalley. I found the sections on writing reviews, and how to write a critical review very informative and helpful.

This tool kit/ user guide has been very helpful in getting started with by bookish journey. I like that the information is presented in a colorful and engaging way. I also like that this covers all of the book community bases and gives you a sort of launching pad to get yourself started. I will reference this as I am doing book reviews, and whenever I find myself in a content creation slump and need some ideas to get the creative juices flowing again.

This booklet had very valuable information and would benefit many reviewers who would have the chance to read this.

This guidebook honestly feels like it should be required reading when starting a new NetGalley account. It explains the NetGalley system to avoid common mistakes when requesting and reviewing on this site. It also gives practical advice on setting up and building a book review account on all the social media platforms, with tips that are specific to each.

I only recently discovered the extra resources available on NetGalley's website which included their "Book Advocate Toolkit." Advertised to help new and experienced reviewers alike, I wanted to see what tips I could glean.

The Toolkit basically takes someone new to NetGalley and walks them through every aspect: setting up a profile, determining membership type, selecting books, checking publisher approval preferences (i.e. knowing what type of reviewer a publisher is most likely to approve). Readers also will learn tips on good reviews (including some do's/don'ts) and how to keep one's review ratio high. The kit also contains links to external articles for additional help on various topics.

More experienced reviewers will find pointers on improving content as well as expanding their social media presence. Readers are introduced to starting accounts for Book Blogging, Bookstagram (IG), Booktubers (YouTube), or Booktok (TikTok).

The next section includes tips for being organized, strategizing, and planning for growth. Also tips on fabulous photos, graphics and hashtags. Lots of really great content to help anyone at any level improve their reviews and online engagement.

The NetGalley Book Advocate Toolkit is truly an all-encompassing resource that offers a treasure trove of suggestions and ideas to help every reviewer succeed. Well done and highly recommended!

This has been really helpful in setting up my NetGalley Profile. There have been a few books that I really had wanted to read (and still will!) but was declined either because I don't have enough reviews under my belt or something about my profile didn't click with the publishers.
