This book was a really nice primer of being new to NetGalley and how best to interact with the platform. It gave practical advice and ideas which I will definitely use going forward. This should be a must read for anyone joining the NetGalley ride!

This is a super helpful resource for those new to NetGalley as well as seasoned reviewers looking for a refresher. I am a victim of the “request spree” when I first joined NetGalley, and I wish I had this available to follow when I first joined.

Exactly what a book reviewer needs to get started sharing their love for books online. Not just how to get ARCs but how to review them on social media!
Tips like not tagging authors in bad reviews, not going on a request spree, and more are all necessary for the beginner and even veteran book reviewer to know in this new world of book influencers.

As someone that is just diving into reviewing and getting serious about it this is great! It helped me decide the platforms that are the best for me and what I am wanting to do. Would be really interested in detailed guides for each platform.

Netgalley's Book Advocate Toolkit covers how to create a Netgalley account and follows it up with instructions on requesting books including tips for the process. I'm a big fan of the reiteration of the tip "avoid the request spree."
I found the sections discussing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube) particularly helpful as someone looking to do book reviewing on a larger scale than Netgalley and Goodreads.
I really appreciate Netgalley creating this guide and everyone looking to do book reviews online should give it a read.

This is an amazing toolkit. It provides a lot of info about how to set up a Netgalley account and gives tips on the basis of the social media. It is simple to read and the graphics make it even more interesting.

Love this toolkit! It is incredibly thorough, user-friendly, and filled with some great information on how to get started as a new user on Netgalley. Not only that, it provides some great resources on how to utilize social media and sites like Canva to grow your platform. Also, it gives some great tips on content planning and staying organized. If I had to add anything else to the organization tips, I would also suggest Notion! I love using it to keep track of my TBR list, notes from books I'm currently reading, and book review drafts.

The NetGalley Book Advocate Toolkit is designed to get new users started on NetGalley. I highly suggest you read this before downloading books on this site and reviewing them. The toolkit is clear and concise, it is well presented, and the information easily understandable. The graphics are beautiful and accessible. I didn't feel distracted by them and I have ADD/ADHD.
I also suggest reading some blogs on using NetGalley as it is helpful to see the warnings of not going on download sprees which can get users into trouble with their ratios if they are not careful. You don't want to start out on the wrong foot right out the gate. Many bloggers speak about common mistakes, and best practices, etc...

Very thorough and well done. Instructions and graphics were accessible and straight forward. I would be interested to see what NG is able to publish in the future - as I think there is room in the market for bookish things created by companies that actually appreciate books. Love it.

This book was so helpful! I hope after the feedback I will be able to look back to reference it! I did have a hard time finding the publisher of the books but this was helpful in finding. I also was able to figure out the hashtags.
