As a Newbie to NetGalley, this is really helpful! Super easy to understand and great links to intensify certain subjects.
I wish Netgalley was more transparent about what exactly a publisher sees when deciding to approve a reviewer.
This is a great guide with sensible tips for a beginner.
This is a great resource to help out fellow book reviewers to write their reviews. It gives examples of where to post their reviews, from Facebook to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Youtube as if you want to be a blogger or have your reviews on Goodreads. I would recommend this for everyone on here to at least look at and to help them review the different books on here.
A big thanks to We Are Bookish and NetGalley for this excellent source for those who are not only new to NetGalley, but new to book reviewing on social media as well! This toolkit provides easy to read and implement suggestions and ideas to make your book reviewing a breeze. I particularly liked the section on how to build social media, like Instagram, and the best places to create a blog. This information is particularly useful to someone like me who has been reviewing books informally on a smaller platform and is taking the leap to more advanced reviewing and audience engagement. I have this toolkit saved to my laptop for easy access to refer to when I make my #MeetTheBookstagramer post and look into creating an Auntie Yorga Reads book review blog!
NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit published by We Are Bookish is a must have if you're reading ARCs and writing reviews for NetGalley. This handy little ebook gives you all the tricks and tips for setting up your profile, your bio and how to review both ebooks and audiobooks. It is well organized and easy to follow. I wish I had this guide when I first started with NetGalley over 2 years ago. It would have eased my anxiety in wanting to submit reviews properly.
Give it a go and you'll see for yourself just how helpful this toolkit can be!
My thanks to #NetGalley and to We Are Bookish for this ARC. This opinion/review is my own.
Wow!!!! Such a great resource for how to use NetGalley to its maximum potential! Loved the layout and easy to follow guidance! Will be using this more often to help me enhance my profile
Great information that clarifies some blogging do's and don'ts in an easy to digest format similar to an infographic for each section.
Thanks We Are Bookish and Netgally for putting this guide together.
This was a very interactive way of creating a profile for social media outlets to review books for NetGalley. It also gave good tips as to what to do to market yourself as a reviewer in these platforms.
A very useful tool for everyone using Netgalley. I would love to use each of these brilliant techniques when I post!
Excellent primer on how Netgalley works! I've been using the site since 2015 but it never hurts to brush up on things!
Very handy toolkit!
Information how to review for every platform that is ' hot' today including Tiktok and Bookstagram. Enjoyed reading it and will sure try to incorporate it in my reviews.
Well organized and easy to read. I hope to incorporate some of these tips and advice into my future reviews and my profile.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing this resource!
This was an amazing read. It was really well put together and the information was laid out in a thoughtful, yet easy to understand way. Relatively new to traditional book reviews, I found this resource incredibly helpful. It gave me a lot of good ideas on how to transform my Bookstagram, how to get started on my blog, and how to create graphics to use on social media and sites such as GoodReads.
I’m definitely going to refer back to this in order to make sure that I continue to have a profile that will help publishers understand who I am as a reader, and how I can help advertise their books.
I found this book really helpful. I just recently joined NetGalley and I was unsure of how things worked in this web. After reading NetGalley´s Book Advocate Toolkit I feel more knowledgeable about the website. I also learnt more about how to request, read, and share a review about a book using all the available tools.
This is honestly one of the most helpful toolkits EVER for beginning bookbloggers/netgalley users!
From the creation of your netgalley account, this toolkit breaks down exactly how to get started with easy to understand steps.
Really great info included on the type of netgalley users and what specific information to include in your bio for the best odds of getting approved for DRCs!
It goes further, however, and provides really useful and great tips that you can implement today. One thing I did not know that I learned is that you have to include how you got the book, thanking or acknowledging netgalley and the publisher- I've seen others do this before but did not know it was a requirement!
Amazing tips for planning and information for each specific venue you may choose to post your book content on! I'm excited to use the tips I got from this toolkit and to save it to reference in the future!
Helpful tool for reviewing and utilizing social media and other resources to promote material! The graphics and included links make it easy to read and use.
NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit
Tips on writing book reviews, using social media for reviewing books and videos, blogging and strategizing for getting your reviews done are some of the topics of this toolkit.
Advice is shared on writing your bio-update it frequently-deciding on what type of reviewer you are, and the importance of your feedback ratio to publishers- keep it at least at 80%.
I highly recommend this for all reviewers, new and seasoned. The toolkit also covers topics new to me: Booktube, Booktok, Bookstagram and hashtag tips.
My thanks to #NetGalley for this helpful Toolkit.
Helpful with the tool to be a good reviewer for books and those authors to help them out. I like this kind of stuff to help me with things.
this was good quick and short guide for anyone's who is new here and to know about what's expected from them on the reviews, blogs and social media accounts
This was a very useful toolkit if you are kind of new to this world and don't really know where to start. It was short and to the point and I believe that the tools that they offer can come in handy any time!
