Interesting read with good feedback tips but wish it had been available on my kindle. There are lots of ideas on writing reviews and publicising your work - all of which help out the authors and the publishers as well as improving the reach of your blog etc.
Useful guide covering the whole process, with great tips for getting started and to refer back to. Thank you NetGalley.
Good tips! I'll definitely be referring back to this helpful guide as I continue reading, requesting, and reviewing books
Thank you so much to Netgalley for this amazing tool!
I spent a good deal of time upgrading my profile, tricking out some sections, double-checking so much between publishers I read from & information they're looking for on the front. I have so much of a better idea of what all needs to be done with my profile to keep it up to date and how often.
I’ve been reviewing books on Goodreads for years, but I’m new to NetGalley. I appreciated this short, super helpful guide to starting out on NetGalley and for reviewing books in general. I thought the tips for members and the info on feedback ratios were particularly helpful. I also loved that there were tips specific to several different book reviewing platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, blogs). I’ll definitely be referring back to this guide as I move forward with book reviewing!
Super appreciative of this! I'll definitely be referring back to it as I go forward in my journey as a reviewer, both here and on social media.
A super helpful guide to kick start and refresh my approach to reviewing. I highly recommend this easy and engaging toolkit..
This guide helps in navigating the NetGalley platform. It is especially helpful for new users like me who are learning to review and expand their reach in the book community.
The Book Advocate Toolkit is chocked full of useful information for the new or experienced Book Advocate. As a reference source, I am sure that I will be using it frequently as I continue my journey.
I’ve been using Goodreads since 2014, became a BookSirens reviewer in 2021, and started with NetGalley 2 months ago. I would consider myself a ‘newbie’ in the world of book reviewing and am excited to learn more.
Reviewing all the possibilities for reviewing books, starting a blog, and interacting with other bookworms through various social media resources and programs is a little overwhelming. I am glad to have this NetGalley resource as well as We Are Bookish to guide me along the way.
This book is an excellent resource for any book advocate, and I look forward to increasing my skills day by day by utilizing the easy-to-follow suggestions.
I received this advanced reader’s copy from NetGalley. This is a voluntary review, and all comments and opinions are entirely my own.
This book is a great comprehensive tool for reviewing books over a variety of platforms. It is clear that the authors have extensive knowledge of the unique mechanisms of different bookish communities. This was a very helpful tool, a quick read, and I loved that they included accessibility tips!
Wow--what a great tool and resource for Netgalley beginners and older users who need a refresh. I truly enjoyed the easy to read formatting of each section and the breakdown of each medium that I could use to post reviews.
I loved the profile building tricks, the bookstagram tips and the booktube explanation as I got a lot of great information from each of these sections.
Well done. I am overwhelmed with happiness that this guide is available to us reviewers, Thank you #netgalley & #wearebookish.
This is a very helpful and informative tool for members that are new to Netgalley. I have been a member of the Netgalley community for several years now so I am aware of all the information in this tool kit so none of it was new to me. But a lot of the information in the toolkit would be very helpful for people new to Netgalley or those who are thinking about joining. Netgalley is such an amazing community and i would highly recommend this toolkit to any and all members especially to those that are new to the website. Thank you so much NetGalley!
This is wonderful! I’ve been a part of the bookstagram community for many years, but I still found this helpful and came away from it with many new ideas. I may even try my hand at the ole TikTok. Or even booktube! Thanks a ton for this helpful toolkit!
A very necessary tool. A lot to learn for novices of Netgalley and a nice refresh for long time users. New users should be made to try this.
I have been looking at moving into booktok so this toolkit was a great learning tool to help me feel confident to get started.
There were a few things here that I didn't already know so thank you so much for setting me straight there,
It's set out well, easy to follow and understand and something I will be using to reference in the future!
Helpfully little guide to the ins and outs of literary review.
Covers all aspects along with hints and tips
Pretty basic but if you’re literally just starting out this can be helpful. Don’t think there was anything that’s not already included on the NG site for recommendations. The elusive 80%.
NetGalley’s toolkit is a guide for beginners in the book community. Not only was it set up so that even people who have no prior knowledge of the platforms could build up their social media, but the guide also provided some important tips. The colourful designs of each page made this booklet all the more fun to read. The information provided was concise, the overall guide was easy to navigate. [Guide provided by NetGalley]
Useful tips and notes for beginner or anyone who needs to refresh the basics. I had previously read these points in various blog posts of We are Bookish, and this is just a one place handle for all of those
A very informative guide to using NetGalley. Plus, it has some helpful tips for managing any social media accounts you use to talk about books. I would recommend to everyone who is reading this.
