Lots of great tips for all different review platforms! Wish this guide around when I started!
It has great information even if you've been reviewing fit a few years!
A nice compilation of useful info and very well put together I would suggest it to anyone wanting to use NetGalley and posts there reviews anywhere on social media.
Pretty helpful, especially if you are new! I hope everyone gets an opportunity to read this toolkit and implement suggestions form it.
Super duper appreciate the #NetGalley Team for creating this very helpful toolkit! It's really insightful for readers especially like me (a newbie on the site). The visuals are CHEF'S KISS and instructions were on point ❤ Kudos to the team!
Really insightful, thank you so much for giving me the ability to read this and help improve my bookstagram and other bookish accounts! I learned to keep my text short and sweet like me!
This was a great advice book. Since it is a living document, I look forward to more information in the future.
Absolutely loved the Book Advocate Toolkit! Whether you are a seasoned NetGalley reviewer or just after joining this amazing community, the toolkit has something for everyone. Loved the advice about updating your profile regularly and making sure your content is seen on all the social media platforms!
I've been a NetGalley member for a while and I try my best to be a good reviewer. I truly appreciate this community. Thank you for this advocate toolkit! A great resource to know different ways to promote books. All members should read this.
This is a great resource—whether you are new to NetGalley or book reviews in general or an experienced denizen of NetGalley and long time reviewer.
It’s short, to the point, and covers multiple platforms and points. The format is easy to read and organized well.
Wish I’d had this when I started out!
This is an excellent resource for newbies and a link to it should probably be given to every new person who signs up for NetGalley. I have acquired most of the information after blogging for several years. The one piece of advice that I wish had been driven home to me early on was: don't go on a request spree. Once you've acted like a kid with your hand in the candy jar, it's very hard to bounce back to that 80% w/o a lot of work, especially if you're still requesting books that you'd really like to review. I will mention from experience that it's an easy way to burn out and then really hard to get back in the groove.
Such a helpful resource - thank you for making this available! It was helpful to have the guidance specifically to NetGalley and the resources that linked to We Are Bookish. I will definitely continue to reference this regularly.
A quick and handy guide to getting started with reviewing books on social platforms. I found it very informative on how to structure reviews as a someone who hasn't posted too many reviews online and will probably refer back to this from time to time. Very beginner friendly!
This is a quick guide to what is expected from NetGalley as part of the book reviewing process. Written mostly in bullet points, it's easy to skim through to pick out relevant information.
While most of the information seems pretty obvious, it has been helpful to have open next to me while I am writing a review. It has helped me structure a review in a way that is helpful to future readers, but also gives feedback to the publisher and writer. One thing I really appreciated were the tips on how to review an audiobook, as some of this I hadn't really considered previously.
All in all, a helpful guide to to new people navigating NetGalley (and book reviewing in general) and definitely something I will keep referring to when I write future reviews.
Super quick, super informative guide on what to do to help your stats on NetGalley. Advice on writing reviews. Sharing reviews. The best places to talk books, and how to keep your bio up to date with the information that publishers are looking for. I’ve been on NetGalley for a good few years now, I wish this guide had been around when I started out, I do however struggle a little with using the NetGalley shelf app, as much as I love the idea behind it, pages keep flicking backwards and forwards, not sure if it’s just me. Personally I would have benefitted more with a kindle copy.
This toolkit was short and sweet and was a good introduction to new reviewers. I would hesitate to recommend it to anyone who has been with NetGalley for a while though, as the information contained within seems to rehash the Bookish blog posts.
For a new reviewer who may not have read all the blog posts yet, the toolkit is an easily digestible visual guide. It could be made better by linking aforementioned blog posts.
Such a great toolkit! Found everything to be really helpful! Thought this was a great resource and really appreciated all the platforms being shown!
This is such a good resource to use to use this site properly. I am going to be using this resource for all my further reviews.
As someone who’s fairly new to publicly reviewing books, I found this guide to be extremely helpful. Not only does it cover NetGalley but has useful info regarding other social media sites as well. Would definitely recommend to new reviewers!
Very useful tips! Can't wait to start reviewing more and more books! I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review
I have been needing to get my reviews more organized so this Toolkit was extremely helpful!
I have been on NetGalley for over a year but I am always open to advice to make my NetGalley profile more desirable to publishers!
Thanks for sharing this!
