We are Bookish has helped me generate this book review. This book is different because it shows you how to navigate NetGalley and how to have a positive view on doing reading reviews. You should care if making an 80% review rate is important to you. I know I care. I am new here, and would like to give the best feedback there is book review wise.
The book gives information on how to write a review successfully. You have tips on how to connect via social media. The different types of reviews you can give and what platforms may work best for your review style. The book gives great information on how to get publishers to approve your requests, and also how to not over extend yourself by going request crazy. If you are like me this needs to be stated several times in the book, and it is. Thank you We Are Bookish, you know your audience.
Over all this was a 30 minute or less read ,it was very graphic, and was easy to follow. I would recommend this be the first book you start with on Net Galley if you can.
This is awesome and really helpful! I appreciate that We Are Bookish and NetGalley put this together!
A very useful guide, especially for new reviewers; I've been reviewing and blogging for several years and found some useful tips here. The guide includes all aspects, including improving your Netgalley profile, and using various forms of social media, hashtags, and tools such as Canva. It is set out in a very engaging and user friendly way using graphics with hyperlinks to more detailed articles.
A great idea to produce this guide and its one that I shall refer to in future.
This toolkit is a wonderful starting point for anyone interested in beginning their reviewing/bookish social media journey, and it is also a really helpful refresh for those that have been in the business of reviewing for a while. I've used bookstagram for four years now, and found particularly helpful the tips about hashtags, regular NetGalley profile updates, and review writing. Though I am not interested in creating BookTube or BookTok content, there are resources for those who are, and the toolkit does a good job of describing the benefits of different content sites. I'd recommend this to anyone who reviews books!
Very helpful!
The little toolkit is filled with useful info, from how to set up your blog, Instagram and Tik Tok to how to write a better review. I learned a lot from it!
A really helpful guide that covers a range of social media platforms. My main two are Twitter and Instagram, both of which are included. I actually never noticed campaign hashtags before within Netgalley but I wish I had! These are really helpful and will be used from now on. My mistake!
There are tips to show you how to get seen on the platforms, but one massive issue I've discovered is that on Instagram, when you follow certain hashtags, Instagram only shows you posts under those hashtags that are really popular and already have tons of likes. Is there a way to get around aspects like this to higher your following? I struggle getting seen, getting likes, gaining followers. The only way I've managed to grow is by follower trains. When my reach hits a low, I tend to post a picture of one of my pets. For some reason, this bulks my likes. I just cannot work out how to get seen organically.
I definitely think all book reviewers should get a copy of this, as even if they are doing pretty well as a book reviewer, this guide could still point out a thing or two.
This is really handy and helpful and will likely keep referring back to it. It's no over whelming and very simple, easy to follow and clear. Which makes it easier, and sections are clear so you can skip to the social medias which are applicable for you.
Very useful if you are a newbye or if you want some new ideas or improve you social presence.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
This is a great resource for those looking to review books. Whether you are new to NetGalley or have already submitted a selection of reviews.
A clear and concise guide t for writing reviews and becoming the best book advocate you can be. The guides are very visual, the graphics are engaging, and this is the perfect place to start on your NetGalley journey.
Wonderful and helpful tool for anyone looking to start book reviewing! There are also helpful tips for people who already review books, but could use a boost. Thanks NetGalley!
This guide to Netgalley contains everything you could possibly need to get started, or freshen up your routine as a book advocate or reviewer.
I loved it! Great advice and fun to read. NetGalley took a page out of their own book when creating this informative newsletter-type layout to share tips on writing enthusiastic book reviews online. I learned a few things that I can implement right away. I have this saved so I can refer to it again and again. Thank you!
I appreciated this quick helpful guide to NetGalley and book reviewing in general! I’m going to try to utilize Canva more after checking out this guide.
Very useful to anyone starting their journey either here on NetGalley or in any social platforms where you review books. It's very visual with very useful tips. I have been using this platform for more than six months and I think it gave me some interesting suggestions.
I would suggest that you would would make it available for people without the need to review it. I was surprised to see it listed on my shelf and that I was supposed to give feedback. Please make it available to every newbie without this requirement. It will probably "lower their score" without them even noticing. Just a thought. I felt pressured to write this.
But thanks anyway. I still think it's useful.
Thanks NetGalley for my Book Advocate Toolkit! I found it very useful and will take into consideration these helpful hints.
This is such a helpful book especially if you are just starting your journey as a book reviewer/influencer, As someone who has had her account for almost a year, it was a nice refresh and I even learned a few things! <3
