This was a great little, quick read on getting to grips with NetGalley. How to keep a good feedback ratio, some great tips and information on starting a Booktube, Booktok and Bookstagram (I have a booksta account so I really paid attention to the bits that were relevant to me).
I’ve been a member of NetGalley for several years now, and on Bookstagram for longer so I’d already picked up a fair few tips and tricks, but this book still held value for me. It’s great for the seasoned reader and booksta and also for those new to it.
It has a great layout. Very accessible and easy to read. It was written well and would be perfect for beginners as it’s so well laid out and everything explained. It can also be easily read in one sitting and is great for all Netgalley users. Should be a recommend read for everyone with an account!
Super helpful tips, whether you're just getting started or need some reminders. More than just getting around on NetGalley - all kinds of information included on setting up your profile, writing reviews, and all the different platforms to share your reviews outside of NetGalley.
Thank you, Net Galley! This is a great tool to have. Very informative. I have printed this, and I plan on following it to the letter.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an eARC of this title in exchange for my honest review.
This was a very helpful guide with tips on how to use NetGalley and review books across all popular platforms that has accessible and widely applicable advice for beginners and long-time reviewers. Highly recommend.
This was informative and helpful to read and a refresher that we may forget after awhile. It breaks it down on how to set up the social media accounts and what to do from there. Also gives ideas on content to post to social media and the use of hashtags. Also touched on vlogging and blogging, this was packed with lots of info
Impressive! Concise! Easy to Use! NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is a resource for both new and well-seasoned reviewers. I found several tips I will use. I like the links for additional information. This resource can be easily updated. Thank you We Are Bookish for doing this.
Helpful tips on reviewing books and what publishers are looking for, thank you! The guide was colorful and easy to look at, which was a plus.
This was a very helpful guide filled with tips for reviewing books on multiple platforms. Since I have a Bookstagram and a (newly created) Booktok, I used those sections the most, and they were very helpful! I will continue to refer to this manual in the future for tips and tricks.
This was amazing and very informative!! There were things I have been missing in my bio and this helped a ton! Thank you!
Thank you to NetGalley for this toolkit to assist me in reviewing books provided through NetGalley’s Platform. This will be a handy resource!
I apologize for my error a few minutes ago in reviewing the wrong book in this place.
Very cute design and a lovely guide for new reviewers. It's a quick read and a simple reference for anyone who may be a bit intimidated when it comes to making a reviewer profile.
Thanks for the guide NetGalley!
Great tips for beginners and experienced net galley users. It covers a lot of social media types with ideas. I wish it would have specific tips to improve your profile and bow to get approved for books.
NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit will be most beneficial to those brand new to the site and book reviewing. I've been on NG for just over two years, and after that time I've learned most of the tips outlined here. I was expecting to read this over an hour or two, but it only took me about 10 minutes to get through it.
It is laid out quite nicely and is formatted so you can easily focus on your areas of influence - blog, Goodreads, socials, etc.
I saw this guide on NetGalley’s Instagram page. I still consider myself new and still learning and this guide was a great resource to fill in the rest of the blanks that I hadn’t figured out yet. Thanks for putting this guide together, I plan to refer back to it as a continue to get comfortable on this platform.
Some of the content is super useful and I even learned a few tips here and there along the way. But some of it just common sense, honestly... Everything is prettily packaged though, and I think especially appealing to new reviewers.
Thanks for this insightful and clear guide!
Lots of useful tips and a great starting point for beginners. I will return to check this in the future!
The information is displayed in an appealing and accessible format which made it easy to read. The social media sections contained some good tips. I am not sure how much this book offers to an experienced reviewer, but would be very helpful to a new Netgalley user.
Great help and guidance, useful tips and hints
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
This toolkit is a must read whether you are a new or experienced book reviewer. There are plenty of tips for how to set up your account, write a good review, and even set up your social media bookish accounts. In addition, there are external links to plenty of tools and tricks for creating book blogs, creating booktubes, and using Canva to create stunning book photos for social media. Every book reviewer should have this helpful manual in their arsenal. I'm very thankful for the support NetGalley and We Are Bookish provide to the book community.
Thanks NetGalley for the awesome tips! It will help me move forward. I recommend this to anyone who uses social media to talk about books! It is also great for people who review books.
