Excellent toolkit! Such a great resource for newbies and experienced reviewers! I appreciated the reminders and even found some new ideas -- like using Canva for creating a logo. Most of the topics presented have been ingrained, but it surely doesn't hurt to get a refresher once in a while. I really liked that the newer platforms such as TikTok and YouTube and the Instagram video features were mentioned. I personally don't use video reviews, but I'm glad that they were included in the toolkit.
The cover wasn't that great in my opinion. To me it was pretty drab, but who am I to criticize? Maybe something more eyecatching?
I created a book blog, but I seem to think that it's pass'e now that there are other platforms that can provide snippets instead of lengthly reviews. In my opinion, people these days just want short and sweet and Instagram and Twitter provides that .
The NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a really useful resource. It starts with a really comprehensive overview of NetGalley itself, information on the feedback ratios and the importance of not falling under 80%, also the need to keep one’s profile is up to date and the need to keep it current. The tips on writing reviews and the embedded links to the BookIsh website were really insightful. The social media information section was really interesting, including Booktube, blogs, Instagram, etc.
I think it would be a really useful guide for all new NetGalley reviewers to be given when they join.
Love this. It's a great tool to get some excellent tips, not only for those just starting the netgalley journey but for anyone that needs help with their reviews, profile or social media sharing.
Excellent summary of how-to, to-do, and what NOT to do! We Are Bookish is a treasure trove of information on reviewing and improving your social media reach...to have access to more DRCs! Wonderful to have all the info in one handy PDF. Excellent infographics, too. Well done.

Thank you so much for these tips and tricks! Very useful as a NetGalley member and reviewer! As a new bookstagrammer I found the Instagram tips the most useful.
Really great and helpful intro to Netgalley! Collects a lot of the best material from the blog and organizes it in an attractive high-level way. Wish this resource had existed in this format back when I first signed up, it's a really great "boot camp" for folks new to NetGalley and the world of bookish social media!

This is a great little booklet! Although geared to those who are just starting out their NetGalley journey and trying to figure out the social media sphere, there are some useful reminders in there for those who have been doing it awhile. It's great that there are tidbits for every platform (blogs, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc).
Such a useful tool for netgalley newbies and even old timers who find themselves getting a bit stale. Fantastic to have such a resource available and especially one that will be updated with new features etc.
This is a very useful little guide for NetGalley and for book social media in general! I appreciated how it was organized by platform so I could easily find the information that was most relevant to my reviewing. I especially liked the tips about accessibility and hashtags.
I think this will be super helpful for anyone just getting started on NetGalley and it takes some of the mystery out of the process so it's less intimidating. Thanks for this resource!
This is such an incredible tool! Very grateful to We Are Bookish for the chance to improve my skills as a reviewer and as a reader. The book reviews section and strategizing section were incredibly insightful and helpful!
This was extremely helpful, thanks so much Netgalley.
So much information on how to use Netgalley and be part of the book community in general. Definitely recommend that everyone gives this a read!
A lot of this info I already knew, but I still appreciated learning a few things! I didn't realize you guys post hashtags I can use on the book info page. I will also try using more unique hashtags on Booksta from now on. I also didn't know to not use special fonts on my Instagram posts. This was a quick helpful read. Thanks for sharing!
This toolkit is a really fantastic resource to have for any new or even experienced Netgalley reviewer! Some of my favorite sections are….
-How to write a variety of reviews. For example, how to write a review when you’re having reviewer’s block! This is genius, as it happens to me frequently. I also found it helpful for quick tips on how to write an audiobook review and a critical review.
-The Dos and Don’ts of posting ons social media. These are great reminders that may slip someone’s mind when they’re viewing many books in a short period of time.
-As a Bookstagram reviewer, Bookstagram 101 is great. I wish I had this when I started my account but am using the tips regardless. Same with Canva 101, Bookstagram photo tips and Hashtag tips.
Every part of the Toolkit is extremely helpful. The formatting is great and the pages are laid out in a way that’s easy to digest and understand. Thank you We Are Bookish and Netgalley for putting this resource together!
Great book on helping getting the best from NetGalley. Lots of hints and tips for new and old users. Thank you for creating this ebook
