This was a helpful book to getting started on NetGalley but also provided a helpful overview of book communities across social media platforms in a general sense. Anyone getting started on their BookTokker, Bookstagrammer, etc. journey will like this guide. I specifically liked the resources listed. One suggestion I have is to offer a text-only version for better accessibility. I liked the design of this a lot, it was easy to flip through and engaging, but I could see it being challenging with a screenreader. The perfect guide for new/inexperienced NetGalley users. I appreciate that NetGalley has these resources available. I was feeling a little overwhelmed when I first began, but after reading through the book, I felt confident enough to start requesting ARCs and start giving out reviews!

This is incredibly helpful. I love a good infographic so the style of this guide is super easy to digest. It's a great overview I would heartily recommend to anyone getting started reviewing books.

I'm really new to NetGalley despite having heard about it for years, and after reading this Book Advocate Toolkit I believe it does a good job giving new NetGalley reviewers a rundown on a lot of the basics. The toolkit was able to answer some questions I had about starting up on NetGalley, and it also went over a couple of things that I had also looked up from the site. On the other hand, as some others have mentioned, the toolkit isn't too terribly detailed on specific subjects so it barely brushes on any more in-depth questions that new NetGalley users may have. For example, one question I had was about promoting books through social media (when to do so, can we use cover images, etc.). It was briefly touched upon but left me still needing to look that up from other NetGalley users.

Overall though, it's a comprehensive place to start for anyone who is new to NetGalley and book reviewing on social media and gives the first few steps to help people get started.

This was a very helpful guide for both new reviewers and reminders for those who have been around for awhile.

I haven't read all of this book as a lot of the information I needed was already available on the site. Still I have found parts of it useful and will dip into it from time to time.

I have been a Netgalley member for a number of years, and on having the opportunity to receive this book in return for a review I was excited. Of course I know the basics but I had hoped that the book would provide some new up to date insights in one place.

Sadly, I was disappointed. While this is indeed an excellent resource for a beginner, I found it to be just a signposting pamphlet. The book was just a list of bullet points and links to the authors blog to read more information. All just as easily found by going to the website, via Netgalley, making this book kinda superfluous! Unless the point is to get more readers onto their blog!

It would have been much more useful (to me at least) if the extra content was actually in the book rather than being forced to keep clicking and going backwards and forwards.

Great tool for writing reviews! I have used this tool kit with all the reviews that I have written so far and it has been a big help in knowing what is the best approach in giving clear and constructive criticism.

I have also found that the tool kit is a big help in increasing visibility with reviews, but also in getting more requests accepted by publishers.

I highly recommend using the tool kit for those who are just starting out with reviewing on NetGalley, as well as for Blogs and Social Media posts.

NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is very informative and user friendly. I immediately printed it out to make notes on! I am new to NetGalley, reading ARCs and reviewing publicly so this has been my go-to and I only wish I downloaded it sooner!!!

Netgalley's toolkit does a good job of familiarizing new users to the site and how it works. It definitely helped me learn the basics of book reviews when I was new. It's worth reading.
