Although getting accepted as a NetGalley Book Advocate is super exciting, it can also be overwhelming and intimidating to get started. NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a great resource to ease some anxiety about what's going on. I specifically liked the Canva tips and tips for leaving meaningful reviews. I will definitely be referring back to this going forward!

I was so excited when I got accepted as a member of NetGalley, but almost immediately the overwhelm set in. I love books, I love writing about books, but other than that I didn't know what to do. I am so glad this ToolKit exists. It contains so much good advice, do's and don'ts, and general information about how and where to post reviews. And even though it's a LOT of information (especially for readers with ADHD), the ToolKit makes it clear that you can take what you need and leave the rest. It's not something to be read just once and put down, it's clearly a resource to refer to as you build your reviewing practice and grow your reach.

Great, informative book about posting reviews. Very helpful for newbies. Gives good tips about social media and Canva.. I really appreciated the four croup the content was divided in to. Made it easy to find what I needed.

This is an excellent resource for both new and veteran users of NetGalley. The in-depth parts of sharing on specific platforms is what I am most excited about as a veteran reviewer on NetGalley. I've been wanting to branch out to youTube and this gives concise, simple steps to do so.
I saw reference(s) to Twitter as a platform and would suggest that the toolkit get a bit of an update with the recent re-branding of the platform.
I really hope that I am able to come back to this resource over and over as I continue to work on improving my skills and offerings as a reviewer.

A light introduction to how to use NetGalley to request and review ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies), and how to review and build up a presence on social media should that be desired. It contained good starter information, with a lot of helpful tips aimed at beginners with links to further content. I do think it could have been more thorough and fleshed out, but it was useful knowledge to refresh or start one's journey.

So glad I saw this Book Advicate Toolkit mentioned on NetGalley’s Instagram page. It can feel overwhelming to start something new, but I have wanted to try to be an ARC reader for some time! Books are my happy place, and reviewing them feels like a chance to give back. The authors and publishers, and everybody in between works so hard to bring a book to life the least I can do as a consumer of those pages is post my review.
This tool kit was super helpful to read through before starting this journey! It had a lot of good tips and suggestions in an easy to read format that was not overwhelming. I have bookmarked the file because I know I will be referencing it often! Thank you NetGalley for providing these tips and tools for success!

This is an excellent starter kit from NetGalley that I'll be returning to as I get back into the swing of regularly reviewing books. With infographics and well thought out organization, it's incredibly readable. I appreciate the engaging resource.

This toolkit succinctly and helpfully explains how to use NetGalley for different types of users, especially ones who review on social media or who are just starting out. I do wish it gave slightly more information on the expectations of publishers when requesting and reviewing books, but it's very useful as a quick reference and jumping-point.

I have worked on book reviews across various social media platforms for the past year. In the last few months, I joined Netgalley to review books and introduce my followers to new and exciting books. Finding Netgalley's Book Advocate Toolkit was a nice and helpful guide to how I can expand my reviews, and draw in a bigger and more targeted audience. This was a helpful tool in learning the Net Galley website. I was struggling a bit in the beginning. I am new to reviewing books, and new to ARC reading.
I am glad that they came out with an easy to navigate infographic on how to do better. I am learning that some publishers have extremely specific set of requirements for what they want before they approve someone.
I still have a long way to go but I am happy to be here.

I think this book is a great starting point for someone that is just getting started writing reviews, but also for those of us that have been using Netgalley for many years. It gives so many good tips and good reminders of things you should be doing in your reviews. This book is also a must read for those that post their reviews on a blog or are doing content creation or would like to get started doing that.
