The NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit was a huge help to me. After finishing my first e-ARC I felt unsure of myself and a little lost. This book took me step by step through the process and I was able to post my first review with a lot less hassle.

It is a very quick and easy graphic read with external links for more tips and advice.
The book handles everything from signing up to requesting books and they give specific advice to different types of reviewers.

Easy to read and a fun creative way to receive informative information about how Netgalley works! The colors and infographics were cute and easy to read and gave me all the information that I needed in order to successfully write reviews for the arcs that I read or listen to.

Despite having a Netgalley account since 2013, I have never really put much effort into sprucing up my account or writing “better” reviews. I only just learned about this Toolkit via the Netgalley Summer Bingo board. It has great tips on updating your profile, writing reviews, and social media. Some of the tips even have embedded links for more info. I particularly liked the shared graphic in one of the tips for NetGalley reviews in Stories on Instagram. I would recommend this to anyone who is just starting out with Netgalley and anyone who is interested in becoming a book “influencer.” Thank you to Netgalley and We Are Bookish for the copy.

This was such a quick read and really helped me feel confident to utilize all the different tools Netgalley offers. The tips for different social media platforms was easy to understand and put into action right away. I should have done this review a long time ago but I am embarrassed to say that I did not due to the habit of reading the pdf and neglecting the toolkit title here on the site. This toolkit is a lovely summary on all the staples of book requesting, maintaining feedback ratio, types of reviews, and social media. It is a fantastic resource when starting out new as well as a great refresher when you may have writer’s block.

It gives helpful tips and tricks for writing reviews, and for posting to social media sites. It is a short and concise aid that helps the reviewer prepare for the reviews they will be doing and making sure they understand all the important information needed to get approved for Advanced Reader Copies and grow a following for their book reviews.

This is a super helpful toolkit to help you get started with reviewing books. The format is cute and easy-to-follow. I will definitely be referring back to this in the future!
