I was impressed with and surprised by how thorough this toolkit is and appreciated the way it was organized. I read it in the downloaded PDF format and the fact that the table of contents are all hyperlinked to that specific page is a *chefs kiss* level of helpfulness. The kit breaks down into categories such as book reviews, bookish social media, strategy etc and includes content relevant to not just Netgalley but all the platforms a bookish babe (or dude) might want or need to use.

My only regret is that I didn’t start my Netgalley journey by reading this first. This toolkit is an incredible resource and I will be revisiting to recommend and share with others looking for guidance/best practices for sure! Appropriate for both brand new bookish babes and those who’ve been around for ages! P.S.-I also really appreciated the colorful fun layout to keep even this ADHD gal engaged with the visual interest and the fact that they touch on accessibility with fonts and descriptive text etc!

A really useful resource for those new to reviewing books and to NetGalley. Also helpful for those who have been reviewing for a while but could do with some helpful pointers in what to include in reviews to make them stand out. Also covers the different platforms where reviews can be posted. I’ll be coming back to this useful guide from time to time to make sure I’m giving the books I’ve read the best review I can,

This is a great source if information that encompasses all the current social media outlets for reviewing books. I'm so glad I saw this as it helps highlight important parts of writing reviews for audiobook and traditional books.

I have been a book reviewer for many years and I did find this helpful. I sometimes become complacent in my reviews and don't make them interesting enough to encourage a reader to choose the book. This is a great tool and I will continue to refer to it.

A toolkit beneficial to all NetGalley users regardless of experience level, with helpful tips not just for utilizing NetGalley, but also for creating and maintaining book-focused accounts on other social media platforms like Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok. While this IS introductory material that may have the most benefit to newer members of the online book community, it is also great refresher material for long-time readers, as well.

As someone who was new to formal book reviews, this book is still extremely helpful and I pull it out frequently to help get the juices flowing. It helps to provide insight as to what is important when reviewing not only to readers but publishers as well! I also appreciate the social media suggestions even though I have not ventured into that space but do find some of the content helpful.

A well-written, accessible, and practical introduction to maximizing your NetGalley account. It includes long- and short-term tips for building your profile, writing reviews, and using social media effectively. I plan to implement several of these recommendations in the coming days, weeks, and months!

Netgalley's Book Advocate Toolkit is a comprehensive book on the do's and don't of reviewing a Netgalley ARC across multiple social media sites. It has clear and concise instructions and ideas for reviews. It is a good tool to have in a reviewer's back pocket.
