This was a helpful starter guide to how to use NetGalley to review. I wish there were more examples and tips but overall great guide
Some decent tips. A lot of it is common sense, but this would be great "required reading" for someone starting out on NetGalley.
Very helpful for both figuring out how to use NetGalley and how to write good and interesting reviews. I'll use this as a kind of reference book when I'm writing my next reviews.
I didn’t realize I hs to give feedback but this was a good little book to help with book reviews. I have been doing this a few years and I still learned a couple things…as I’m not the greatest at writing reviews.
This was extremely helpful for figuring out what each of my NetGalley reviews should look like. I am new to Netgalley and had no idea what the publishers were looking for and this answered practically every single question I had.
It seems like most of this information is available on the wearebookish website. It is a good collection, but I don't really think it was needed as a book. Perhaps a collection on the website itself?
This is so good. I really liked this. There are so many great tips in this small book. I would have definitely enjoyed it, when I startet out reviewing books at Negalley. I learned a lot reading this.
Very helpful and beautiful layout. I love the colors as well.
I also love that there are several places where you can click to learn even more, if you wish.
This is a good help for Netgalley as well as social media tips.
This is a helpful and colorful PDF book aimed mainly at beginners. There are many ideas on how to get established on social media platforms and review books. Experienced reviewers will probably find ideas they hadn't used before. It is a great way to find out how NetGalley wants reviewers to operate.
Thank you netgalley for letting me read this toolkit. I learned a couple new things, and think anyone just starting out with Netgalley should definitely give this a read.
This is a very helpful, beginner book for anyone starting on Netgalley. Although it is a short book, it packs a punch by breaking down how to set up a profile, write a review, increase your approval ratings, and post on social media. It is a very useful toolkit for anyone on Netgalley. Thank you to Netgalley and We Are Bookish for providing an advance copy for my honest review.
This is very helpful, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get involved in reviewing on NetGalley, or those who feel their profile could use a little refresh for the new year. It contains all the information you need to succeed, and I am really glad I took the time to read this text. Thank you for providing it!
Great advice! Highly recommended to those new to book reviewing. It contains helpful hints and can be referred to periodically as a refresher.
This is helpful, insightful, and easy to understand. It was a relief to discover I was doing most things correctly. Recommended to any NetGalley member whether a newbie or a more established member.
Great hints and tips for writing the write reviews and sharing these on various platforms of social media. A lot of it becomes obvious and common knowledge the more you do but for starting out it’s a great guide. Not a lot else to say about this. It’s really useful.
I'm new to NetGalley and I really appreciated this little bite of a guide full of straightforward and helpful hints on reviewing books, using different social media platforms and making your content more attractive.
Thank you NetGalley and We Are Bookish; this is a great reference that I'll come back to.
The Book Advocate Toolkit contained a great deal of helpful information for someone like me who is new to NetGalley and the online bookish community! I will refer back to it in the future, I’m sure.
Great tips! I will save this toolkit and use as a checklist for the upcoming year. There are a lot of things that go in to a book review post, and it is easy to forget some. This toolkit will be my trusty manual.
As a newbie to NetGalley, I appreciated this concise, colorful guide to getting started. The "Book Advocate Toolkit" starts with the ins and outs of NetGalley (and that all-important feedback ratio!) and moves on to tips for getting started on other platforms. I'm not likely to join Booktube anytime soon, but I did pick up an idea or two for my next Canva project...an unexpected bonus of this kit. And a tip: don't miss the links in the toolkit - there aren't many of them, and they're generally useful.
It could be fun to have a whole series of this sort of toolkit - a Goodreads toolkit, perhaps, or a build-your-own-bookclub toolkit that plays on the strengths of the bookclub toolkits NetGalley offers for select individual books.
Thank you for this amazing tool kit to help me get started in the bookish world and to be better at something that I have really enjoyed over the years. I love that alot of my questions about the book content world is right there in this book.
Helpful tool to have, some great tips covering a large range of platforms. Having used some of the methods covered, I get approved for a much larger percentage of books than I used to so I highly recommend.
