This helped a lot with reviewer's block. I often finish an ARC and have no idea where to start with the review and it just takes up my mental energy for the day.

I absolutely loved this book!

The format of the information is short and sweet but very informative. The pages have such a good visual layout. They mostly look like post-it notes or notepad paper on pale backgrounds. This was very refreshing and made a great change to the usual black text on white paper. I have a condition called visual stress, it makes it harder to read on high-contrast backgrounds, so the change in tones was highly appreciated.

The book contains basic tips across a variety of topics. I've read a lot of the book blogging help articles on the NetGalley blog, so I was concerned that this book might just repeat that information, but it didn't. There were links to useful NetGalley articles with further information at the end of the pages. I really liked this because it gave me a resource to follow for areas I wanted to learn more about.

The actual writing was very easy to follow. Everything was explained nicely and I honestly think anyone would be able to follow their tips. For example, I think even someone who is not very good at social media would be able to follow their social media guides. I found the social media section particularly useful because that's the area I'm the least confident in.

I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to write book reviews, regardless of the platform you're on. Even if you don't use NetGalley, there are still a lot of great tips and tricks.

This book helped me to understand this site so much better. Now I know how to keep my rating up so I can get books I really want to read! Great tool!

It teaches in a concise and fun way how to succeed as a book reviewer in a world full of confusing platforms and fast paced trends. I will be implementing most of the tips, tricks and tools provided in this book to help jump start my own journey into a more professional form of reading and reviewing books. I would highly recommend this book to any person who is interested in becoming a reviewer as well as those who have been doing this for a long time, especially those using NetGalley as a source for reading material. Thank you for providing your readers/reviewers with this resource! I found it to be EXTREMELY helpful, not only in how to write a good review, but chock-full with ways to establish one's presence online. A MUST for someone starting out as a book reviewer. :o)

I appreciate that this toolkit is straight and to the point. It gives you the most pertinent information in a very visual manner without weighing it down with a lot of words that would inevitably confuse the message. Finding quick and basic information is super easy and you get the idea without much trouble.
However, the same straightness is also its weakness. I would have loved to have a bit more information on a couple of the most pertinent points instead of being directed to the blog. I get that it's an ebook so referring to the blog is efficient and it's not necessarily forcing you to put the book down and go get a device, but having the information in the toolkit would make it easier to access.
Overall, it's a good, quick reference guide that will quickly clear up basic questions.

I'll admit it. I'm a sucker for anything called a 'toolkit'. This appeals to my self-taught, DIY driven nature. If you're a book reviewer and a member of NetGalley, you owe it to yourself to take a half hour and read this guide. It's tightly focused and filled with all the little things we should be doing as reviewers, if we want to be perceived as well-informed professionals. I learned a few things I need to be doing, or should be doing more of, and I'm grateful for the guidance.

If you're *not* a NetGalley member, read this anyway. The advice applies to you, too! (And maybe you'll decide to join us!)
