My Review:
Wow, what a brilliant read this was!!!!! That last chapter was so dark and twisted. It had me shocked and jumping up with joy all at the same time. I even had to read it twice just make sure I was reading it right. When you pick up a Nicole Trope book you can never go wrong. I do have to say that this was one of her best books yet. This author takes hard subjects and brings them to light and really makes you think on what you would do in that same situation. There were two characters in this book that made me feel so disgusted and they rightfully should. They were so utterly despicable and they were such awful human beings. One character more than the other. On the other hand there were two other characters that I felt were the true heroes of the story. They finally stood up for themselves and told everyone that would listen what horrible thing had happened to them. They were so very brave and courageous. After all they went through they will finally be able to heal and get to be at peace. Nicole Trope has a way of telling her stories where you really feel like you are right there with all the characters living their nightmare with them. I love this about her writing. I get so immersed in her books and I can do nothing else until I finished it. Time totally stops when I’m reading one of her books. Nicole Trope is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read her next book. Thank you again for such a wonderful read.
In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh my word. This book had me gripped from the first page. So many twists and turns that were completely unexpected. Some very upsetting bits but that’s what made the story so good. I’ve now read several of Nicole Trope’s books, and they’ve all been excellent.
Good book! I really enjoyed reading this book! It had suspense, intrigue, and a great storyline! It flowed nicely and had a bit of a who done it! These lines attracted my attention...Millie... she's gone.... gone...
Tension came in my mind when I read this. Their adorable child is gone. Is everyone telling the truth? Leslie, Shelby and Ruth were wonderful female characters who knew perfectly how to attract attention and play with someone's mind.
Honestly saying i didn't believe anyone especially these women. It's a brilliant rale about motherhood with required suspense. I recommend this to those who love stories with emotions and tensions.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy.
I really enjoyed this book, the characters were very believable, and the storyline gripped Me from the very first page
This is a terrifically suspenseful story. An older stepdaughter watches her younger sister while her stepmother shops. Except Shelby doesn’t tell exactly what happened thst afternoon when Millie disappears. Neither does Leslie, or Bianca, or Ruth, or Trevor. This story reminds me of a cartoon from my childhood where a suitcase continues to unfold over and over and over. There is a lot to sift through with this story. There are some truly vile characters and many heartbreaking realizations.
Who can you trust and can you really trust yourself?
