This was my first time reading one of Jessica Redland's books, but I will surely be back for more!
I loved the varied characters in this book, and was eager to keep those pages turning to find out what paths their lives would take
As the book title suggests, the story is based around the Starfish Cafe, it's owner Hollie, her partner Jake, and a whole host of friends (and enemies). Hollie meets a new friend, Tori who has her own tale to tell, and the 2 women find their lives entwined in this story of friendship, betrayal & love. Not to mention a spot of smuggling!
An excellent read, and I will certainly be ordering the other books in the series!
Another visit to the wonderful Starfish cafe and the ups and downs of Hollie, Jake and Pickle. I’m so glad that the slippery snake got bitten in the bum for the horrible way he was to Hollie and all other numerous residents of the bay. I loved reading about the relationships of both Finley and Tory, how though heartache, loss and disappointment, two strangers unexpectedly meet and gell as if they had know each other forever. What an absolutely incredible story. So brilliantly written' cannot wait for being ok three.
Thank you thank you thank you!
Jessica Redland you have done it again!
I absolutely love the starfish cafe books so this was a dream to read. It was wonderful to see Hollie and Jake and pickles life moving along and seeing all the characters coming to life in the starfish cafe.
I loved seeing the continuation of their stories and still being involved with the RNLI.
I fell in love with the new characters Tori and Finley. They both had a really hard time in the past and their friendship is so beautiful.
I don't want to say anymore as I don't want to drop any spoilers but I can honestly say I am already sitting on the edge of my seat awaiting book 3!!!!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers boldwood books and the author Jessica Redland for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion

Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
This book is the second in The Starfish Cafe series, although thanks to a comprehensive who's who at the start you could read this and still know who everyone was.
The story of Hollie who is the owner of the Starfish Cafe and under pressure from an unsavoury character to sell her beloved cafe. Also running through the book is the story of Tori who is unhappy in her relationship and estranged from her parents. Loved the book and raced through it and was delighted to see there will be a 3rd and final book in the series. Looking forward to it already.
I really liked this book. I loved the relationships between all the characters. Although emotional at times, the book was very heartfelt.
At times I felt that the dialogue was a bit unnatural. I also think that the story slowed down a bit in the middle.
However, besides that I feel like this was a great read, and I would recommend it to almost anybody.
