Way out of my comfort zone but wow was I surprised with this great read which I thoroughly enjoyed. All the characters are well described and I felt I got to know them all personally and what a great journey it was.

It was extremely well written and I will definitely read more from this author in the future.

Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this advanced copy which I can definitely recommend.

I would totally recommend this for everyone who loved the prequel!
The overall feeling of the book was homey and cozy and I wanted to sink into it.
It’s good to return to people you already know and love.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC.

Loved this follow up to Snowflakes.. I love Holly and Jake and of course Pickles. Things are going well for the loves up couple as they take the next steps in their relationship. However, Slimy Smythe comes along to threaten the Starfish Cafe and Holly’s heritage.
Tori is coming out of a bad relationship (again) and needs to find herself whilst Finley has relationship issues of his own. Can they find a way through and to each other?
It’s a great book that has love and fluff but also deals with facing your fears, infertility and bereavement.
Grab it when you have a few hours to spare. You won’t want to put it down.

Spring Tides At The Starfish Cafe - Jessica Redland

And so we return to the Starfish Cafe; Hollie is loved up with Jake and Pickle the dog. They are settling into their new life, with the Starfish cafe to run and RNLI volunteering. But then a visitor arrives to threaten the cafe and its future and Hollie wants to protect her families legacy.

Tori is coming out of a relationship that ended badly, finding herself with nowhere to stay and nobody to talk to. Until a chance encounter with Finley, struggling to come to terms with his own secrets, provides an opportunity to open up.

Hollie and Tori’s paths cross at the Starfish cafe, can this new friendship help both of them?

I loved being back at the Starfish cafe with some lovely characters from the previous book and new ones too. Jessica Redland really knows how to tug at the heartstrings and puts a whole lot of heart into her books as well.

This story incorporates relationships that are aligned and those that aren’t. How you can realise that even if things have been good, that can change. Facing up to difficulties, listening to each other, supporting and trusting each other. All this connected with me, with my previous experiences and the joy of what I have now. It’s amazing how sometimes a novel can just catch you like this.

Things take a nasty turn for The Starfish Cafe which is under threat, I felt sorry for Hollie, angry with Slimy Smythe and protective of the cafe. I think I felt this because of the way the story has been woven so carefully to make you root and connect with these characters. It’s uplifting, positive and contains great themes of love hope and friendship.

Whether you are new to the Starfish Cafe or a returning visitor, this book will give you a lot of joy!

Jessica's books are always a treat but I think the Starfish Cafe series are my absolute favourites.

Wonderful book which I read in under 24h!

Hollie and Jake are now together and happy - but there are bumps in the road. We also meet Tori and Finley - both hurt from bad relationships but is there a chance of happiness again?

Jessica is quickly becoming my go-to author for upbeat, cosy, warming, funny love stories, after having read just 3 of her 16 published books (I aim to increase that figure very soon).

It was lovely to get back into Hollie and Jake’s intimate and extended world, and we get to meet some new characters - some more unsavoury than others.

Again, Jessica has found a nice balance between the happy, joyful, happily-ever-after rom-com we expect, and the tough subjects that one may experience in real-life such as infertility, grief, marriage, estrangement, illness, phobias etc. This means the book be entertaining and comforting, but also very real.

I’m glad to see Jessica has one more book planned for this series, but is it selfish to ask for more? I never want this saga to end as it’s just so perfect. Any chance you can just keep writing them for me?

I have a few favourite authors but they’re ones that have been with me over many years and my love for them has developed over many books. But Jessica has firmly cemented her position on that list after just three books. She is definitely up there with some of the most important books I’ve read. Sure, they may be rom-coms, happily-ever-after books, easy to reads, all terms that are usually thought of negatively in the literary world. But for me, they’ve really spoken to me and wormed their way into my life. It’s like her characters - and Jessica herself - have become firm friends. She makes me believe in the future, in love, and in hope. And I think that’s pretty bloomin’ important.

I read Snowflakes Over The Starfish Cafe before this one as Spring Tides At The Starfish Cafe is Book 2 in the series and I wanted to read them in order. This book follows Hollie and Jake as they settle into their lives together, but also adds in a POV from a new character, Tori. Tori is coming out of an unhappy long-term relationship and finding her feet on her own. Finley (who we met briefly in Snowflakes) also features.

What I love about Jessica Redland is that she is not afraid to tackle some real-life weighty issues - bereavement, trauma, family history and the influence it has on lives, betrayal, the messy reality of relationships. This is no exception with characters dealing with tough situations.

I enjoyed this book, although I did enjoy the first in the series more, I felt we could have had more detail and a bit more time spent on some situations as resolution seemed a bit hurried and I would have liked a bit more exploration. However, I did really enjoy it and will definitely read the third in the series if there ever is one! And definitely going to read some of Jessica Redland's other work.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book.

I adored the first book in this series and I have a massive soft spot for Hollie and Jake. Their love story is a journey of strength, resilience and hope. Now together, they're ready for their happily ever after, though someone is about the put a nasty spanner in the works. We are also introduced to a couple of new characters, and we get the POV from Tori, a women unhappy with her relationships in her life. After a near death experience, she decides to make some changes. Familiar faces along with new ones rally around those who need it the most, and the sense of community is inspiring. In a world where people are so divided, its nice to read a story where people are king and caring. Loved, loved, loved it ❤

It was wonderful to go back to Starfish Cafe in this gorgeous book!
Great to catch up with Hollie and Jake and to meet new characters, Tori and Finley. As always friendships are a main part of the story, you are drawn into them too and it was fabulous to be back in this welcoming community.
Emotional moments and some exciting twists kept me reading avidly. I just adore being in this lovely place!
A joy to read for sure, can’t wait until my next trip to Starfish cafe!

Absolutely love this author. She hasn't written a bad book yet in my opinion. This is no exception. A welcome return of familiar characters mixed in with some new ones. An emotional roller coaster as always.

The second book in the Starfish Cafe series, and it definitely didn't disappoint!

Hollie and Jake are moving on with their life together, when disaster strikes Starfish Cafe. Can they, together with newcomer Tori and lifeboat friend Finley, get back on track? Will Tori and Finley resolve their own personal problems and help each other through?

I loved this book, the four main characters are delightful, and the new addition of Sebastian Smythe is a great, highly unlikeable inclusion. Happy to see that there will be a third part to the story, looking forward to it already!

I discovered Jessica Redland about a year ago and have loved everything of hers that I have read. I liked that this gave us a continuation of the story from Snowflakes Over the Starfish Cafe and also added a new romance to follow. The acknowledgements section from book one mentioned there was a storyline that had been cut and would appear in the next book so I was really excited to find out what it was - and I agree, it would have been too much for book 1. Hollie and Jake are such a great couple and it was great to see her growing more confident in the water. Hollie's gift to Jake is so sweet and just what he needed to see how talented a photographer he was. The second couple in the story - Tori and Finley - were also really great. However, I could not figure out how either of them had gotten together with the partners they were involved with at the beginning of the novel. They just seemed so different from their partners in about every way possible. Whereas they were absolutely perfect for one another. The history between Tori and her parents was complicated and well developed. I thought they got off a little easy and some of their reasoning for how they treated Tori wasn't as well thought out as I would have expected. I'm glad that Tori worked things out with them and they were changing how they treated her. I also thought the message that sometimes we are so overwhelmed by bad times that you forget there were a lot of good times too was interesting. The two storylines effortlessly intertwine to the point where you can't imagine one of them being as good without the other.

I always think when I am reading one of Jessica's books that it is my favourite until she brings out a new one and I find it hard to resist as I know I am going to love it. It was lovely to be back at the Starfish cafe with all the wonderful characters, as soon as I started reading it, I knew I would get caught up in the story and this is such a good one, it is emotional but it is also uplifting at the same time. The story is full of great family and friends and feels relatable which always makes a good story in my eyes. I loved seeing the friendship between Hollie and Tori blossom and it reminded me how close me and my best friend are. Such a warming ending too.

I absolutely loved it! We rejoin Jake and Holly and the staff at the Starfish Cafe, along with the RNLI crew. We meet Tori and learn a little more about Bart aka Finley.
This is a story of love, friendship, community and overcoming challenges.

I loved that we hear more from some of the Castle Street shop owners that we've met in previous books, I also loved that at the start of each chapter there was a little starfish, I've never known another author do this and its a feature that I really enjoy in Jessica Redland's books. As well as the little starfish, there's a list of reoccurring characters at the start of the book which I think is a nice touch.

Overall, another amazing book by Jessica Redland, I cant wait for the next one.

Thankyou Netgalley and Boldwood books for an early copy of this brilliant book!

A thoroughly enjoyable return to Whitsborough Bay and the charming Starfish Café! Hollie and Jake are enjoying things going well for them after the rollercoaster of the first book, and yet there seems to be trouble brewing ahead with a persistent visitor.
We also get to meet Tori with her quirky backstory and rage-inducing boyfriend. Tori's journey intertwines with a new lease of life for the Starfish Café and a new leap of faith for herself.
Great, feel-good reading at its best
