Another brilliant book by Jessica Redland. I really loved going back to Hollie’s cafe and the introduction of the new characters too. This is just what you need to read to feel all of the emotions.
Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. Another feel good read from this author who never fails to disappoint. I loved it.
I received an ARC, of Spring Tides at The Starfish Cafe, by Jessica Redland. This is the second book in the Starfish Cafe series. This was a lovely story I really like the characters of, Hollie, Tori, and Finley, and Jake not so much of Smythe. I liked the intrigue in the book.
Really enjoyed the first book of the series so I knew the second would be just as good. The story continues with Hollie and Jake. Definitely a feel good book.
Lovely story about love, reconciliations, and life moving forward in a sweet seaside town. Jake and Hollie are still together and their love is growing daily. You meet Tori and Findley who are both in terrible relationships. Plus, there is a horrible rotten character named Sebastian Smythe up to no good and bent on gaining the Starfish Café from Hollie.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
While I loved the idea of this book and enjoyed being drawn into the relationships of the characters, I feel like this book had so much packed in that I lost sight of the plot. It was like 5 books crammed into one. Half the occurrences could've been separated into individual books of their own. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and hearing about their lives/backgrounds. The dynamic of the relationships and love shared were evident through the writing.
I loved revisiting the Staarfish cafe and catching up with the characters. The book brings heartache and worry but also shows the resilience and love that is rife in the community. I loved how everyone drew together to find out what Smythe was upto and to help out when times got tough for Cafe. The story and relationship that evloved between Tori, her family and Tori and Finley keep the reader hooked and once again the work of the RNLI is showcased to promote what amazing volunteers it has.
I loved everything about this book. The Starfish Cafe at Whitsborough Bay is a special place for all kinds of reasons. It’s run by Hollie who is blissfully happy living with her boyfriend Jake. The only blot. on the horizon is the slimy person harassing Hollie
We meet Tori and Finley who become friends after traumatic breakups. Tori becomes a good friend to Hollie when she needs help.
I loved the setting, the community and the main characters. I hope there is another book in the series to enjoy
Jessica Redland I LOVE your books! Another absolute cracker from you.
Hollie and Jake are happily living as a family of three with their little dog pickle. The Starfish Cafe is doing well and Hollie is spending her Monday nights training with RNLI. ON ONE NIGHT Hollie, Jake and crew are called out to rescue three surfers who have got into difficulties. We then meet Tori. Torrie is in an unhappy relationship with Leyton and doesn’t really know where it’s going until she meets one of Hollies fellow crew members Finley. They both have big changes to make in their life and develop a deep friendship.
When something happens at The Starfish Cafe Hollie and Tori become friends and Hollie help her make the decisions she’s been struggling with.
It was great to be back in The Starfish Cafe catching up with familiar characters. I loved watching Tori and Finley’s friendship grow.
It wasn’t as emotional as Snowflakes over The Starfish Cafe but it was every bit as enjoyable.
Delighted to read Jessica plans one more book in the series. Can’t wait!
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC of Jessica’s fantastic new book.
We are back at The Starfish cafe in the delightful Whitsborough bay.
It is lovely to catch up Hollie and Jake and seeing how life is treating them with the wonderful Mr Pickles.
We are also introduced to Tori and Finlay who meet by chance and have their own tale to tell.
Jessica writes fantastic stories, not all romance and always a drama thrown into the air to test these characters and written so well.
A book full of emotion, really lovely characters and a wonderful community within the bay.
I throughly enjoy my trips to the seaside and so wish it was a real place as the Starfish is one place I would love to visit.
If you are looking a feel good uplifting read then this is the perfect read for you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the second book in the Starfish Series and I would highly recommend it. The storyline is absorbing from the opening page taking the reader through so many different situations and emotions.. This second book in the series shows how the story develops between Holly and Jake with their new beginnings and it certainly doesn’t disappoint the reader. I can’t wait for the third book in this series, it can’t come soon enough for me as I’m eager to find out what develops with the characters. A highly recommended book to read which flows from the opening page to the last, as it has intrigue, romance, history and crime (what an amazing combination in one book). Thank you for inviting me to read and review this brilliant book.
I absolutely loved revisiting Whitsborough Bay and the Starfish Cafe. I loved seeing how Jake and Hollie and Pickles are getting on. I admit I cried with happiness and gasped with sadness a couple of times in this book.
You'll know why when you read it. I absolutely adored delving into Tori's life, she has had ups and downs and it was lovely to learn more about her.
I was so so happy to learn in the acknowledgments that this isn't the last in this series. Jessicas style of writing is fabulous and I love it. Another fabulous book, thank you.
The return to The Starfish Cafe has been an enjoyable journey into a wonderful world of storytelling. The tale picks up where the last installment left off with the intertwined lives of Hollie and Jake. Among the many established characters from the previous novels and Jessica Redland's imaginative universe, we also get to meet a new main leading lady - Tori.
Tied together perfectly we get to continue to see Hollie grow in her relationship, her businessss and her RNLI training as well as explore new settings through Tori's past and present.
Another fantastic book by Jessica Redland - I can't wait to see how the Starfish Cage trilogy plays out.
What a delightful read this story was, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The story flows so well and I became totally absorbed in the lives of the characters, the drama and the exciting events unfolding around the cafe.
Following on from Snowflakes Over The Starfish Café, its story continues with Holly and Jake's life at the Starfish Cafe. It was great to carry on reading about their lives and seeing how their romance developed. I love these two and the addition of two new characters, Tori and Finley really made this book a treat to read. The characters are so well written and come to life on the page. I really loved Tori and Finley and their stories really added to the drama in the book.
This is a great story to curl up with and get lost in, it kept my attention all the way through and I was rooting for the characters and cheering at the end. This is one story I can highly recommend. I look forward to more stories from the Starfish Cafe!
What an absolutely delightful, and heartwarming book! The characters are wonderful, like old friends you want to catch up with.
This story is about love, loss, forgiveness, and second chances. Everyone is entitled to happiness, but realizing that is the trick. Hollie and Jake are finding their way as a couple, and things seem to be going well, until Hollie has a devastating break in at the Cafe. But, her chance meeting with Tori, who is also dealing with emotional scars and bad relationships, seems to be a blessing all around. So many obstacles are overcome, past hurts are laid to rest, and new beginnings finally seem possible, What a wonderful journey this book takes you on.
Loved the book and can't recommend it enough.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I absolutely love this authors books and after having absolutely adored the previous starfish cafe book I couldn’t wait to get stuck into this one and once has started reading I couldn’t put it down. This could also be read as a standalone but was great to read it after the previous one as it continues to follow Holly and jakes journey and that of their friends and love how their dog pickle gets a starring role with his adventures too. This book is not just simply a romance story it is a story of peoples lives in this lovely community and the trauma that the characters are going through and have been through which am sure a lot of readers will be able to relate too.
The introduction of Tori and Finley and how they met via the RNLI also gave the story added depth and am looking forward to seeing where their journey and characters go in the next book.
This story shows how life can seem like it is falling apart and that with a little help from the community and friends it can be build back up again and that the future can be even better than the present and that nothing is impossible.
Can’t wait for the third book to be released now.
I loved the first Starfish Cafe book and this is no exception. Hollie is doing really well and also with her boyfriend Jake. When an unwelcome person keeps coming back. She then meets Tori who has problems of her own
Omg Jessica you did it again.
This book is amazing I loved it I couldn't put it down I read it within a week.
I loved the story.
I was said about the cafe but then at the end had smiles so big it made my heart feel so good for hollie and Jake.
I want to find out how tori and finly get on.
I want to know if hollie has babies.
Please never stop writing.
I give it a lot more than 5 stars more like 5 million.
Absolutely brilliant . A book you could not put down. Told between two people so like two stories in one but connected. How we judge our parents !!!!!! Lovely to be back at Starfish cafe. Not as sad as the first ones. Loved reading about the seals. Tori was a great character and very talented . You really appreciate what the life boat volunteers do,. I like Hollie. Perfect ending.Just sit back and enjoy it.
Yet again Jessica has written another amazing book. I loved how she brought in new characters and dropping hints along the way. Jessica has way of spinning a story and hooks you in without you even realising it. Can't wait for the next book.
