Romeo and Juliet had nothing on the Quaysons and Hayfords especially after a tragic accident killed the Quayson heir and the Hayford heiress. Despite their overwhelming chemistry, Atu Quayson and Amelie Hayford were victims of the tragedy and family feud. Now Atu runs the Quayson empire while Amelie manages the sole property left to the Hayfords which the Quaysons covet. As they ostensibly negotiate for the property, Atu and Amelie find that the chemistry between them is as strong as possible, can they overcome their pasts and family hatred to forge a future?
A surprise pregnancy definitely provides a bridge, but the path isn't easy and there are a lot of secrets in the past still to be unraveled. I enjoyed the setting for this story and the diversity of the characters.

I received an ARC from the publisher and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own.
Surprise pregnancy/baby romances aren’t really my thing, but I do sometimes take a chance of them if I know ahead of time, and this one being part of the branding made me assume it would dominate the plot. But it ended up being a very last minute thing, and felt very much thrown in to turn an off-limits fling into a real relationship.
I did like the chemistry between Atu and Amelie, especially with what simmered beneath the surface. And the fact that this book was set in Ghana definitely appealed to me as well.
