This was a delightful summer read, transporting you to the picturesque setting of Nantucket. Her books always leave me wanting to take a trip to Nantucket! The story revolves around Lizbet, who is taking on the task of restoring a historical hotel on the island. I really enjoyed following the stories of the hotel staff she hires and the quirky guests. Every character had a well developed backstory and it was easy to get wrapped up in all of their journeys.
Review to come, I accidentally got this one and didn’t download before archive. Will read and update
First Elin Hilderbrand book and had really high hopes for this one since I’ve heard so many people rave about it. Overall just felt okay-cute, lighthearted read. I did love how detailed Hilderbrand is, felt like I was right in Nantucket!
I am so late reviewing this amazing book. I'm not sure why I put it off for so long, but oh my! What a great book. It has a bit of everything, and makes you feel like you are part of the family. The characters are so well defined, even the ones you want to hate, you just really want to give them a hug.
I highly recommend tucking in for this lovely read, you won't want to put it down!
Thanks to netgalley, the publisher and author for the chance to read this awesome ARC.
This book is quite possibly my favorite Elin Hilderbrand book. The setting, the characters, and writing style were *chef's kiss*. I absolutely love how the house itself was a character in the story!
Confession: I adore books about hotels and restaurants. The Hotel Nantucket is set to open after a massive renovation, funded by London billionaire. The novel covers its first summer and the way the staff, guests, and island residents interact. There's so much classic Hilderbrand here, including a few familiar faces. It's a great entry point to the Nantucket universe for newbies and a refreshing next chapter for her devotes fans.
The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand is a perfect fit for readers who crave a lighthearted, emotional, and romantic summer escape to the picturesque island of Nantucket, where they can indulge in a tale of love, drama, and self-discovery amidst the charming backdrop of a historic hotel's revival.
Elin Hilderbrand has earned her reputation as queen of the beach read for a reason. Year after year, she manages to put out a fabulous new book, with new characters, and a new story line, usually set in her beloved Nantucket, without things getting too predictable. I absolutely loved Hotel Nantucket, the different characters, and storylines, and the friendships portrayed. This was a great quick read, which was a perfect "palate cleanser" after finishing a heavier book.
Super late to the game on this one, but now I know why Elin Hilderbrand is so popular! This was such an enjoyable read. The modern day struggles, friendships, and romance tied up with a plucky ghost--I loved every minute of this one. Definately recommended and I will be reading more of Hilderbrand's books.
I love how every character had their own storyline and POVs. Such an easy read and there were some twists I wasn't expecting!
Elin Hildebrand is one of my go to authors that I look forward to every spring. Set in Nantucket as almost always. Beachy setting with relatable characters
This is the first Erin Hildebrand novel I have read and I was not disappointed. I loved all the characters and how their storylines developed. My favorite was Grace Hadley, of course! I am looking forward to reading more books from this author in the future.
Cute. It's the perfect summer read. I loved how Hilderbrand tied up the multiple storylines so neatly.
2.5. Grace the ghost was the shining character of this book. Frat boy Chad had an interesting character arc. Every other character and storyline was rather boring.
I love Elin Hilderbrand books and The Hotel Nantucket was no exception. The characters are amazing and relatable. The setting of the hotel on Nantucket Island was fun to read about. This is the perfect book to read at the beach or poolside. I highly recommend this one!
This is a must-read! It's a perfect beach read. The characters are very likeable and the plot moves quickly.
Elin Hilderbrand did it again! This was a great read! I liked all the characters and was hooked from the get-go!
I loved the plot twists! I will be reading all of her books from now on!
Elin Hilderbrand is the queen of beach reads and the hotel nantucket is no exception! She really transported me to the beautiful island of nantucket. I enjoyed allll the characters we met along the way and I was into the ~ghostly~ element. I think i still prefer the paraside series by Elin over this one but it was a solid 4 star read!
This was my 1st Elin Hilderbrand novel and I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect vacation read while I was sitting by the beach. I thought the story was great, the characters were lovable (well most of them :) ) and it was a great way to start my vacation. This will not be my last read by this author.
I really enjoyed this book and am so thankful to have an early copy! A little spooky for Elin, in the very best way! Thank you so much to netgalley for this advanced readers copy!
