It's not summer without a fabulous book from Elin Hilderbrand that takes us to the most amazing of places - Nantucket.
This book takes place in a newly renovated hotel, that is decades old but holds that tragic history of the file in 1922 as well as the death of 19 year old Gracie.
Lizbeth is hired to hire staff and turn this hotel in to the place to be. We learn along the way the many intricate ways of the island regulars, the staff and the owner.
Elin as always does amazing things with characters and settings. She brings you right into Nantucket even if you've never been there. She makes these characters your friends and family!

Summer doesn't officially start until Elin Hilderbrand releases a new novel. While this wasn't my favorite Elin novel (that title belongs to "28 Summers"), I did find it to be an enjoyable read. It was quite literally a beach read for me, as I read it over the course of one day at Clearwater Beach.
The Hotel Nantucket is mostly about Lizbet, a heartbroken woman who takes on a job at a new and upcoming hotel. Between dodging her ex and his new fling, starting a new romance, and managing hotel, Lizbet is BUSY. Add on crazy guests, a ghost, and a mysterious hotel reviewer, and you've got The Hotel Nantucket!
All in all, I enjoyed this easy, breezy read. I was disappointed to find out who the mysterious hotel reviewer really was (it still doesn't make sense to me) and I found the end to be wrapped up a little TOO neatly. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs something light to escape the real world this summer.
The perfect summer read! The Hotel Nantucket is the third book I've read by Elin Hilderbrand and my favourite one so far!! The book revolves around the staff working at Hotel Nantucket, a newly renovated hotel by an English millionaire. It's also a hotel rumoured to have a chambermaid's ghost roaming the hotel.
This was such a fun book to read! There were so many layers to the book, and ALL the characters were so well developed.
I love a good summer beach read by Elin Hilderbrand, and her latest, The Hotel Nantucket, was no exception. I love all things related to hospitality, so the premise of this novel was right up my alley, and this plot felt fresh compared to your normal beach reads. The Hotel Nantucket is an old hotel on the island that gets a major renovation and reopens. We follow the behind the scenes of the first summer and get to know the staff (and their individual secrets) who are working hard trying to get the coveted "5 key review" from a famous hotel reviewer. While I figured out the main reveal almost immediately making the story slightly predictable (I mean, it is a beach read), I still enjoyed the ride and getting to know the unique cast of characters at the hotel. A fair warning: one of the main characters is the hotel ghost. This surprisingly didn't bother me, but it will be the reason many readers won't like this book.

Summer reading would not be complete without The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand. I’ve enjoyed so many of her other books and she always amazes me with how she’s able to transport me to Nantucket, a place I’ve never been but I’ve always wanted to go.
This was a beautifully written story with such a fun cast of characters! The story revolves around the newly renovated hotel and the employees and guests have their own side stories that make the reading experience all the more special.
If you are looking for a fun summer read I highly recommend you add The Hotel Nantucket to your summer reading list!
I'm a huge fan of author but haven't read a book of theirs in quite a while. "The secret of change is to focus all your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new." This quote was one if the most inspiring ones I've ever read. The details of the hotel are exquisite, I felt like I was there looking myself.
I loved the points of view we got to read from. Thet were a very interesting group of characters. Each character has a great personal storyline. The way the characters storylines connect is very clever.
The mysterious aspect of the book was done very well. I love the mix of genres because this author does it beautifully. I can't wait to read more by this very talented author.

LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
This was actually my very first time reading an Elin Hilderbrand book and let me tell you I will immediately be reading more!!! This book was so addicting and I did not want to put it down.
I loved the ghost story line and how it all played out. The characters were each so interesting with the different parts they played and their different story lines.
If you are looking for a summer read this is definitely it!

Where to start…… I guess the beginning is the best place…to start the book with an affair… the scandal, the love Interests, the secrets, and throw in a ghost who has been there a century….. well done and sign me up for it all! I was absolutely glued to this story, from the first chapter to the last! Elin Hilderbrand did an amazing job with this wide and all inclusive set of characters. She was able to keep you involved with everyone, without overwhelming, and while
Keeping their secrets safe and taunting you to read more. This is my First Elin Hilderbrand Book and it will not be my last!
Elin Hilderbrand is another automatic buy author for me. This one was more of a slow burn, but she did such a great job developing the characters so when the main plot occurred, we were ready.

The Hotel Nantucket is trying to make a comeback and is striving for a 5 keys rating from a travel blogger. The book follows the general manager and all of her employees as they're on the lookout for the mystery woman who will review the hotel.

Although this is not one of my favorite books by Ms. Hilderbrand, it is a great summer read. It took a while for the action to build, but once it did, the story took off quickly. The characters were likeable, quirky, and even a bit mysterious, which made the story alluring, keeping my interest until the last page.
This book was phenomenal! It was the perfect beach read. I questioned all of the characters and their motives throughout the whole book. I loved everything about it! Elin Hilderbrand does it again! She has never written a book that disappointed me, and this was no exception. Fabulous!
The Hotel Nantucket is another great beach read by Elin Hilderbrand. I really enjoyed this book and the occasional brief references to people and places from her previous books. It centered around the newly renovated, Hotel Nantucket and mainly the staff and guests there. Their stories were all interesting although I think I enjoyed Lisbet’s, the general manager probably the best. It was informative to read some of the behind the scenes operations of the hotel. There is also a ghost story included that I enjoyed. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC that was a fun summer read.

I hadn't bothered to read the synopsis in advance, so I was a bit surprised by the appearance of another ghost--I didn't love Golden Girl as much for that reason, but this time it worked for me since the ghost was just one among a large cast of characters.
Elin's books always make me want to visit Nantucket and transport me momentarily. Perfect summer read!

I absolutely loved this book! Not only because it revisits some of my favorite characters and story lines from Hilderbrand’s previous books but because even as a stand-alone the story is excellent! I found my self extremely engaged with all the different perspectives, mysteries, and stories. I appreciated that this book had strong and powerful female characters!
I ALWAYS have Elin Hilderbrand on my summer reading list and she did not disappoint with this one! It was my ideal summer beach read, and I would love to plan a trip to Nantucket based on the novel. I also want a sequel when the hotel opens again next summer. Loved all the characters and how they all related and interacted. I would love to stay at the Hotel Nantucket, based on her descriptions. She has done it again. Loved it!
The Hotel Nantucket is a charming story about a haunted hotel and its staff looking to secure a coveted review by the most influential travel blogger. Elin's characters are all fully fleshed out with backstories that keep you interested and rooting for them (even when they have made some horrible mistakes). As a fan of Nantucket, I enjoyed the references to specific spots and activities.

At times it felt like the author was trying to reach a younger audience, and it come off a little awkward. There were a lot of storylines going on, but I enjoyed getting to know all the characters. Hilderbrand has a way of transporting the reader into her stories with her drama filled characters set against the simplicity of summer at the beach, and this newest was no exception. A fun ode to her island muse.
Such a fun read! Listening to this while being in Nantucket last week was a dream! It has all of Elin’s captivating plot lines and characters, along with the gorgeous setting. Her descriptions of a place make me want to move wherever she is writing about!
This was my first read by Elin! Her characters are amazing, the setting in Nantucket makes you feel that you are a part of the story. Little drama, a few happenings and maybe even a friendly ghost. You'll want to have this in your beach bag and don't forget to spoil all your friends with this book!!
