You know it's summer when Elin Hilderbrand releases a new book! The Hotel Nantucket is her latest novel set on Nantucket. She writes about this island in a way that makes the reader feel like they have been on vacation just by reading the book. Lizbet is the new general manager of the newly reopened Hotel Nantucket. It's up to her to help the owner meet his demands for success. She must manage her crew of new employees and recover from a breakup with her long-time boyfriend. Lots of summer atmosphere to soak up while reading this book. Read and enjoy!

Wow! Elin Hildebrand has done it again. Not only is this a great summer read, it is a great read. Period. Summer is high season in Nantucket, and tourism may increase after this book. I know I would love to be there on vacation right now.

It centers around the Hotel Nantucket, a hotel that is far from its prime but is reopening following a multi-million dollar renovation by billionaire Xavier Darling, who has hired Nantucket darling Lizbeth Keaton as the GM. She fills out the skeleton staff and they work to achieve the elusive 5th key from the unknown critic Shelly Carpenter.

I literally cannot say enough. The story is fantastic, but what makes it so great is the cast of characters all centering around this hotel. It’s the staff, the guests, and the resident ghost Grace Hadley.

This book should be on everyone’s must read summer list. If it’s not, put it there and read it asap!

Thank you @netgalley and @littlebrown for choosing me to read and review this book and @elinhildebrand for writing such a wonderful story.

The Hotel Nantucket was my first Elin Hildebrand read and I can now enthusiastically say I have been missing out! This was your quintessential beach read. Fun characters, a darling setting, and even an endearing ghost. Overall, a light and breezy read that is best enjoyed while soaking up some vitamin D and pairs nicely with any summer cocktail!

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Hatchette Audio, and Little, Brown and Company for the e-arc and audio-arc!

Elin Hilderbrand does it again. She has captured a beautiful vision of Nantucket with completely fun and unique stories. Elin does a multi-pov story like no other, and this book is no exception!

This story was so fun to follow along. It had everything I look for in a summer read - a little romance, mystery & deception, friendship, and a whole lot of summer sun. This book was so easy to get lost in the setting and plot but also so easy to follow along with the intertwined storylines. It was the perfect Nantucket vacation ;)

As always, I highly recommend Elin Hilderbrand if you are looking for a summer reading escape. Something so unique about her stories are that each book is completely different from the next while all being set in the same place. They are always a joy to read and my summer is no-longer complete without an Elin release!

Thanks to @netgalley and @littlebrown for my eARC of this one! I loved every minute of it!

Lizbet Keaton is fresh off a devastating breakup and needs something new, so she is thrilled when she lands the job of general manager of the Hotel Nantucket, a historic hotel that has sat abandoned for years but has just been purchased and restored by billionaire Xavier Darling. Xavier tells Lizbet he bought it in part to secure a 5 key review from the worlds most famous hotel reviewer, who’s identity is secret and who has never given more than a 4 key review.

What a dream this book was! This is the PERFECT summer read. Yes, perfect, I said it. While we follow Lizbet as the main character, we are following the stories of everyone on staff at the hotel Nantucket and I loved every character! There really wasn’t a bad one and somehow Hilderbrand made them each seem like a main character, giving us enough of all their stories to be substantive and grow the characters over the summer. And included in that sweet and lovable cast of characters is the hotel’s very own ghost, Grace! There is some romance, but it’s definitely not the main thing happening in this book. This book is about a group of people, all with different circumstances and all in desperate need of the hotel that summer, for one reason or another, and through it they find a family and an incredible hotel on the island of Nantucket. I wanna quit my job and go work for the Hotel Nantucket now!!

What’s your favorite summer read?! ☀️

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for sending me an ARC of this book. I will say that this is not my usual read, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! It is a great summer read about Nantucket, where the author has actually lived for 29 years. All of the characters associated with the hotel have the perfect mix of charm and mystery that keeps you invested in each of their journeys. It was a light and fun summer read and the ending tied up all of the loose ends nicely.

Elin Hilderbrand continues to be the queen of beach reads. She does it like no other. After each read, you feel like jumping on a plane and heading to Nantucket, which is definitely on my bucket list thanks to her. in Hotel Nantucket, her twenty=eight book, her unique writing style shines once more. Hints of romance and drama get and retain your attention from the first chapter on and leave you wanting for more. And more you get.. Erin always delivers and The Hotel Nantucket is not the exception and certainly does not disappoint.

The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand

Official rating: 4 stars
Page turner rating: 3 stars

An old hotel gets renovated and opens for the summer season giving its staff some lofty goals for its opening season. Can they one up the other famous hotels on the island and receive top notch critic ratings? But more than the hotel, this is a story about each employee and how they are tied into the community.

I love Elin Hilderbrand books and how they are told - its always fun to hear about the goings-on in and around the fictional lives of Nantucket- it makes you feel like you belong to the community. This book is no different from that aspect. Once you have a grasp on all the characters in this one, it starts to fly by. This one isn't a romance and isn't a mystery- just contemporary fiction- and a good pick for the pool or beach this summer.
Note: there is a side plotline with a ghost around the hotel, which normally isn't my style, but I thought it was well done tying in the history of the building

Read if you:
Want to go to Nantucket
Love lots of character stories intermingled
Liked It Had to Be You by Georgia Clark
Liked The Maid by Nita Prose

Thanks to NetGalley for the early copy of this one! I felt honored :)

The Hotel Nantucket has everything you need for a perfect summer read. There are interesting characters with intriguing back stories and even better futures, a business brought back from disrepair and failure, some romances that develop, and a ghost story with a little mystery.

Famed billionaire Xavier Darling bought the Hotel Nantucket and hired Lizbet Keaton to oversee the remodel and daily operations. Lizbet is tasked with hiring all the staff, setting up the hotel, and getting the elusive five keys review from mystery reviewer, Shelly Carpenter. What starts out as a semi-successful summer, ends up being an amazing summer. Lizbet doesn’t know that romances will develop, the guests will become intrigued with their ghost Grace Hadley, and that the guests will become like family while staying at the hotel. This was a very enjoyable book that I wanted to keep reading. Plus, I now want to visit Nantucket Island! The book even ends with recommendations and tips for Nantucket Island much like The Blue Book that Lizbet put together for the hotel in the book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy!

I’ve seen Elin Hilderbrand fans note online that the back to back paranormal books aren’t their cup of tea - but I’ve loved it. I think Hilderbrand is at the top of her game and it’s bittersweet knowing that she is winding down publishing.

I really enjoyed The Hotel Nantucket. I’ve read more than half of her work and just before starting this one I was wondering if any of her books really referenced each other - and I was glad that this one had so many familiar characters and call backs. It almost felt like all the years we’ve spent on Nantucket with Hilderbrand came to a head here at the hotel.

This story is a classic Hilderbrand with a cast of characters that you want to root for regardless of their short comings. It’s a 10/10.

Another A+ summer read for the queen of summer! This is a touching story about a rundown hotel trying to be brought back to its glory days. There was romance, mystery, supernatural, drama, scandal...all in one!

Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Prepare to be transported to the recently refurbished Hotel Nantucket on the island of Nantucket in Hilderbrand's new summer read. Hilderbrand's books are always fun reads with lots of descriptions about Nantucket, the food, places, and people - with lots of quirky characters and even a fun ghost, this is another win for Hilderbrand readers. Loved the storyline, the characters and the supernatural theme. Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced copy .

What is summer without a new Elin Hilderbrand book? Seriously, I look forward to her new book every summer, and this one did not disappoint. I love her writing style, and with this book I really enjoyed all of the characters, and the wide variety of them. This book was fun, entertaining, and enough drama to keep me hooked. You'll definitely want to grab this for your summer read!

Elin is always fun to read. I like how her stories have multiple POVs. This book is more character development than plot, so at times I was a little bored. There was not a lot of chemistry between the characters so it lacked emotion for me, I was not rooting for any person or relationship since the characters were not really connected to each other that way. Overall this is a fun, easy read that I think will be in many beach bags this summer. You can easily read this in one sitting. I really liked that Elin included a guide to Nantucket in the back of her book-that was a creative touch. This book made me want to go on vacation and eat all the good food mentioned!

I love Elin Hilderbrand, the queen of the beach read! The Hotel Nantucket starts off like a lot of her novels, with a heartbreak and a cheating partner. Lizbet's life blows up when she discovers texts from another woman on her boyfriend's phone. Lizbet and JJ have been running "The Deck", one of Nantucket's most popular restaurants for almost 15 years. Lizbet is determined to reinvent herself and when she hears the old "haunted" hotel is being renovated, she applies for the job of general manager. She hires all the staff herself, some locals, some not, and begins the difficult task of getting the hotel off the ground. Of course, all the employess have something to hide, and the ghost at the hotel adds an interesting layer to the story. Overall, a great book, on that will be extremely popular. Thank you for the advanced copy!

Another summer and another great Nantucket novel by Elin Hilderbrand. This one focuses on the Hotel Nantucket, hence the title, and its staff and resident ghost, Grace Hadley. The characters in the book were so much fun. There were so many secrets and intricacies that it really brought them to life, although some characters were a little one dimensional and predictable. The descriptions of the island and hotel were wonderful of course and made you feel like you were there. I really enjoyed the end matter, which gave tons of real Nantucket travel info and recommendations. Maybe I'll plan a trip for next summer! This was a really enjoyable read and it's perfect to bring to the beach with you (even if you're not on Nantucket). Thanks @netgalley for the ARC!

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the early gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

I have read quite a few of Elins books, but it's been awhile. I was in the mood for another, so I had to give this a try, and I enjoyed it. This is a great book to add to your summer reading list!

Hotel Nantucket has been abandoned, but has been purchased by billionaire Xavier. He hires Lizbet Keaton as the manager, and a full staff to help run the new luxury hotel. I thought these characters were pretty entertaining and I loved the ghost of Grace, who haunts the hotel by doing harmless little tricks. Just overall, a good beach read!

I am going to miss Elin Hilderbrand’s beachy novels – I guess I will just have to re-read the existing ones. The author uses her trademark chatty prose to draw us in to the lives of the characters working at the Hotel Nantucket and features an inside look at the workings of a luxury hotel and what draws people to Nantucket. Although there were many great characters, by far, the best character in this book is the ghost, Grace.

Full disclosure I am a huge Elin Hilderbrand fan! Also full disclosure I started reading her books just last year when Paradise trilogy turned into a fan for life. Now I have a backlist a mile long (thank you Elin!) but once The Hotel Nantucket fell into my hands I just had to dive into Elin's latest.

Abandoned Hotel Nantucket gets purchased and renovated by a wealthy investor who has complicated reasons for wanting the new hotel to be a success. He hires a recently heartbroken Lizbet to run the hotel and in turn she assembles a colourful cast of characters to work together with her. As the hotel opens for its first season, some of the guests and staff might be bringing with them lots more excitement (and maybe romance) than Lizbet signed up for. Not everyone is who or how they appear to be. At the heart of it all is a ghost of a chambermaid who died in the hotel in 1912. Will Lizbet and her crew manage to pull a miracle? You'll have to pick up a copy of The Hotel Nantucket to find out!

I've never been to Nantucket (but after reading this book definitely hope to change that) but this story was the closest thing I came to travelling without moving. Not only did the characters start feeling like long lost friends but I felt like all of my senses were engaged while reading. Some of the food and drink descriptions most certainly had me drooling (and my stomach rumbling). I love getting lost in the stories I read and this one delivered in a big way in that regard. Yes this is a perfect beach read but it's also a well written character drama that will make you forget about everything else and make you feel like you're a part of the story.

Grateful to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

While this wasn’t my kind of book I know a million people will love it, it’s Elin Hildenbrand after all. The book focuses on a refurbished hotel in Nantucket. There is a huge cast of characters and most seem to be harboring secrets. A few are…Chadwick, a rich kid who has done something so terrible (we don’t know what) he decides to slum it and clean rooms at the hotel as penance. There’s Alessandra, who is clearly sus and works the front desk. A mom of 2 who shacks up at the hotel paying all in cash. And a ghost who haunts the hotel. Hildenbrand tries to infuse current day verbiage and lots of name brand hotels into the mix and I think this is part of her brand so it didn’t really bother me but I’ve seen people comment on this. For me this book was fine. It’s a beachy read without anything too deep. Even potential rape scene are glossed over quickly. None of the characters really spoke to me or had me feeling much emotion for them unfortunately and while I was interested in learning some of the secrets nothing was particularly stunning.
In all I’m glad to be done so I can move on to my next read but again I’m not part of the Elin fan club so take my review with a grain of salt if you are.
