The perfect beach or travel read! I had never read anything by Elin Hilderbrand before, and here this is her 28th novel. This is also not my normal type of book, but it immediately caught my attention and I was hooked the entire time.
The Hotel Nantucket is about a new hotel opening and basically, a bunch of people with secrets and baggage are either running the place or staying in it. But that makes it so much more interesting!
Elin did a fantastic job drawing me into life on the island. I’ve never been to Nantucket, but each chapter introduced me to restaurants, sites, and local flavor. You really can’t help but like all the characters (even when they are supposed to be annoying).
I started reading this book on a flight yesterday, and it helped make the time pass quickly. I also appreciated the character growth throughout the three months depicted in the book.
There is romance, business, family, relationships, summer fun and more depicted in these pages. I will be seeking out more books by this author for sure.
Thank you NetGalley!

My favorite thing to do every year is to lay in the sun and read the New Elin Hilderbrand book that just hit the shelves. I was lucky to be able to read Elin’s newest novel The Hotel Nantucket early, and as always it did not disappoint.
The Hotel Nantucket is similar to her other novels in that it takes place on the beautiful island of Nantucket in the summer months. The Hotel Nantucket was recently bought and renovated as one of “hot spots” of the summer. The story line follows main character Lizbet and the rest of the hotel staff, as they navigate the busy summer months pleasing tourists and earning star reviews. The only problem, there is a ghost that passed away in that hotel that haunts the staff and guests. The novel has a little bit of haunting, summer romance, and guest challenges, that keeps the story moving at a relatively fast pace.
One of my favorite parts of The Hotel Nantucket is Elin Hilderbrand’s use of imagery. Her description of the food, cocktails and beautiful Nantucket setting immediately takes me to a beach in Nantucket and makes me forget I am sitting on a lawn chair in my backyard. I enjoy how she weaves in characters from old books and adds a nice supernatural touch to the story line. Although this book was not suspenseful or a page turner, it was a feel-good book, a perfect summer beach read. The ending gave me goosebumps and even had some twists and turns that I did not see coming. I’m sure this novel will be on everyone’s beach towel when it hits the book stands June 14th, 2022. Another 5-star book for Elin Hilderbrand and I cannot wait to reread it this summer.

A splash of Nantucket charm…and just a dash of “Casper the Friendly Ghost”
THE HOTEL NANTUCKET marks the third Elin Hilderbrand novel I have read. I absolutely loved Summer of ‘69 and flew through The Identicals.
I can honestly say THE HOTEL NANTUCKET was not quite what I was expecting, but it was still such an enjoyable read. It’s funny because the story has all the widely loved trademarks of Hilderbrand’s other books that take place in Nantucket, but there is an interesting twist. The Hotel Nantucket has a ghost! Not only that, but one that provides rather comical and snarky commentary regarding her thoughts about the hotel staff and guests.
The best way I can think to sum up the story is this:
THE HOTEL NANTUCKET is so much more than just a hotel. It is a place for new beginnings and second chances. A place where coworkers and guests become family, despite all the messy and dysfunctional antics that may occur, because compassion and love always prevail.
The Queen of Beach Reads is back everyone! Make sure to mark your calendars for the June 14th release date. You will definitely want to pick up a copy to read while your toes are buried in the sand this Summer!
Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for allowing me the opportunity to read this digital ARC!

Honestly, I wish Elin Hilderbrand could come out with a new book every week. Her characters make my days so much brighter! I was lucky enough to be able to read this gem while sitting on the beach which made life just about perfect.
The Hotel Nantucket brings back many of Hilderbrand's characters from her former books which was like seeing old friends. Nantucket sees the development of an old hotel with ghostly intentions juxtaposed next to old businesses and their characters and stories.
I couldn't love this book enough! I truly never wanted it to end. Both the old characters and the new are lovable with engrossing stories. Pick this one up as fast you can! Thank you NetGalley for an arc of one of my new favorite Elin Hilderbrand books.

Elin Hilderbrand is a new-to-me author, and I thoroughly enjoyed my first book by her. Lizbet is tasked with running a new hotel. She has high expectations but is rather surprised when she doesn’t get as many applicants for the various vacancies the hotel has, and more surprised when the rooms aren’t fully booked as she had hoped.
It seems that all the new hires have their own secrets, but there is one individual who knows most of them and that’s Grace, the resident ghost. Most people don’t believe the stories that the hotel is haunted by the ghost of a young chambermaid who tragically died in a fire.
While Lizbet strives to make the hotel a great success, Grace sets out to prove her existence and ends up having fun in the process. Secrets get revealed, new friendships are made, and new relationships begin.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand. I finished this not yet released novel a few days ago. It was fabulous! It must be in your beach bag this summer! We are back in Nantucket. A British billionaire purchases a crumbling old (and possibly haunted) hotel in Nantucket. We follow along during the renovation and for the first summer. As usual, Elin creates amazing characters. Her attention to detail in describing the decor, the food and the drinks makes me want to live in an Elin novel. I didn’t want it to end. Thank you to Net Galley, @elinhilderbrand and the publisher, Little, Brown and Company for this advanced reader copy. This might even get a second read from me this summer once my toes are in the sand. Release date is June 14th. #bookstagram #whatsinyourbeachbag #reading #bookgram #nantucket #elinhilderbrand #littlebrownandcompanybooks #netgalley #beachreads #goodreads #bookworm

I am an avid Elin Hilderbrand fan, one who is still working my way through a pile of her older books that I haven’t been able to get to yet. I am up to date on her releases from recent years, and I have to say that I enjoyed “The Hotel Nantucket” more than any book she’s released since “The Perfect Couple” (2018)!
This story brings you right to the heart of a busy and warm summer in Nantucket, with a luxurious but fledgling hotel as its centerpiece. We meet the determined hotel manager making a fresh start after a betrayal by her longtime partner, as well as various new employees who have different issues in their lives bringing drama and character development along the way.
To top it off, we have a mostly-unobserved narrator – a ghost whose spirit has haunted the hotel since she died there 100 years ago.
All together it kept me interested and entertained as I read about the daily trials of the characters, as well as anticipated the questions hanging over the hotel – would it be a success? Would it get a sought-after five-star review by a popular blogger? Would the mystery of the ghost’s death be solved?
This is the kind of read I really enjoy from Elin, where characters are actually rootable even if imperfect, there’s some romance, some redemption, some fun. This will be a great beach read this summer!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC provided in exchange for my honest review.

What a FUN story! I absolutely devoured The Hotel Nantucket and kept wishing I could check in myself. I especially loved the return of one of the major characters from The Blue Bistro. Another home run from Elin. I will definitely read again in a few years.
***THANK YOU NetGalley for providing a digital advance copy in exchange for my honest review***

If I could give The Hotel Nantucket a rating greater than five stars, I would. As a devoted Elin fan, I devour everything that she writes - and this novel may just be my favorite. Set in picturesque Nantucket, a seemingly doomed hotel is purchased and restored to its former glory. A quirky and lovable cast of characters hired to work for the summer are tasked with ensuring the comeback of the spot. As a bonus for readers who enjoyed Blue Bistro, a beloved character returns for this story. I also liked the mentions of other Nantucket fictional favorites throughout the book. I meant to savor this story, but I could not put it down (I resorted to holding it in front of my face as I cooked dinner).. Do yourself a favor and pre-order this sensational summer treasure from the queen of the beach read.
Thank you, NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for the ARC of this absolute gem.

As a long time fan of The Blue Bistro (my first experience with this author!) I have been so looking forward to The Hotel Nantucket. I won’t spoil who from Blue Bistro comes back and becomes an integral part of this new book, but I can tell you that you’ll be over the moon about it.
Yet again, the queen of beach reads has crafted a cast of flawed, deeply relatable characters and woven webs between them that readers slowly get to discover. This book especially does a great job of not making any one person “good” or “bad”. I honestly think one of my favorite aspects of a good Elin Hilderbrand novel is the morally grey characters. It makes these fictional people feel real.
My absolute favorite part of this novel is the back section, titled The Blue Book. It is an informal guide to life on Nantucket, with recommendations for beaches, restaurants, special events, and more! I can only hope it is released as a full-size, stand-alone guidebook someday - it would be incredible!
I can’t thank Little Brown and Net Galley enough for this advanced readers copy. I so enjoyed getting to read it early.

Elin Hilderbrand is a best selling author and it's easy to see why. Her latest novel set at a refurbished hotel in Nantucket captures a exciting summer for all the staff of the "Hotel Nantucket". This book had many likeable characters and even the unlikable ones seem to win you over. This is good frothy summer reading fun. Perfect for a day at the beach or by the pool. Can I please have a airplan ticket to Nantucket as well?
4 stars and thank you to #Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

FIVE BIG BEACH STARS!
I love that I am confident that I will drop right into the Nantucket beach feeling as soon as I turn a page of an Elin Hilderband book. This book, for me, is one of the best. In Hotel Nantucket we, as always, meet a cast of characters dealing with secrets and problems of the heart - some big, some small. Best of all, the stories are set at a luxurious new hotel.
Lizbet is recovering from a terrible breakup when she is chosen to become general manager of a hot new property that Richard Bran-type billionaire Xavier Darling has purchased. A bit over her head, she will use her local knowledge and dogged work ethic to ensure the that staff she has hired makes Xavier proud and earns the elusive high rating of the mystery hotel and restaurant instagram rater Shelly Carpenter.
Hilderbran juggles a lot, lot, lot of characters including a hotel ghost, magnificently. Plenty of drama but everything wraps up fairly neatly at the end - it is, of course, a beach read! #TheHotelNantucket #Netgalley #LittleBrownandCo
If you want to imagine yourself relaxing at a pristine beach or luxury hotel, if you are looking for some smart romance, if you are hoping for a novel that stars heroines that that are strong and fierce, then this book is for you!
Best of all, Elin includes her own best of the best recommendations in Nantucket at the end of the book in her signature voice. I can't wait to go!

Getting an advanced copy of this book from @netgalley and @littlebrown was like getting the best Christmas gift in April. Every summer, I anticipate reading the latest @elinhilderbrand novel with the same breathless enthusiasm that I save for that first day of not having to set my alarm for summer vacation. This year, my vacation started in April. And this novel did not disappoint.
The Hotel Nantucket is vividly described-a hotel newly refurbished but opening with many factors stacked against it. Elegant and well appointed, while the Hotel may aesthetically appeal to you, like the real hotel, it is the employees that truly please. Each is well described and their backstories make the novel a true page turner. There is enough mystery that makes you guess and wonder and the story moves at a pleasant, summer-like pace. Like summer though-this novel ends and I was left wanting so much more.
If you are a Elin fan, this book has everything you look for-for me, that’s food that is sumptuously described, a heroine (Lizbet) that has you in her corner, and a character-driven story that has you engrossed in each of the Hotel's employees' lives. As in all Hilderbrand novels, Nantucket itself is the star. You can even plan your trip as Elin authors a travel guide that is featured at the end of the book.
I have to include a personal thank you to Elin Hilderbrand not only for each novel that entertains me, but for fulfilling this booknerd’s dream of seeing my name in print as a “librarian” in the book. I cannot describe the thrill of winning this contest-thank you for rewarding my early-morning Instagram habit!
Thank you very much to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for the advanced reader’s copy of this book in exchange for my review.

This is the fourth book I’ve read by this author in the past several years. This book was her classic women’s fiction beach read with mystery and romance thrown in for good measure.
I love her books as they always sport plenty of quirky and unusual characters. Her characters and storyline are well developed and fun to read. I could vividly picture every character and scene. I’m ready for a Heartbreaker and plate full of appetizers from the Blue Bar’s many delicacies. I’d also like to spend a week at the hotel staying in a suite with an emperor-sized bed.
My favorite character in “Hotel Nantucket” was the resident ghost named Grace. She had a lively sense of humor and made being a ghost sound like a fun adventure. I liked the “Blue Book” at the end and I’m ready to plan my Nantucket adventure. Do reader’s get a free upgrade?
The only thing that I disliked about this book is that it was a little longer than I would have preferred.
I am grateful to Author Elin Hilderbrand, Publisher Little, Brown, and Company, and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to review this Advanced Reader’s Copy. This is a voluntary review, and all comments and opinions are entirely my own.

I really enjoyed this book. I have read several of the books where the characters come in to play which was really fun to read. I always enjoy the multiple povs in books, and this one did it right. The beginning of the book was a little slower than I would have like, but once I got to about 30-40% I was hooked and finished it in one sitting. Obviously the writing was great like always and I enjoyed the plot so much.
I also thought it was a great touch to include “the Blue Book” in the back, what a great way to incorporate real life with the fictional Nantucket I have grown to love.

I couldn’t put this one down! Once again Elin Hilderbrand wrote a book with a great mix of romance and mystery. I throughly enjoyed the characters (especially Grace) and the intertwining stories. The references to Nantucket and food made me want to visit and stay in a grand hotel. The Hotel Nantucket will be a great summer 2022 beach read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Perfect beach read, full of Nantucket charm, fantastic food description, and wonderfully flawed characters. My only complaint is that I can't get to Nantucket any time soon. Elin is definitely an expert here and this reads like a love letter to the area and to the sometimes unlikeable characters. Even through their quirks and sometimes criminal behavior, you can't help but want to root for them to change. I, for one, would love a follow-up on Alessandra, with backstory and perhaps some redemption.

Hilderbrand’s next book releases in June, and I was able to snag an ARC. Hotel Nantucket is being revived by a London investor. He hired Lizbet, who has hired a slew of other characters to work at the hotel. The book follows these workers as they navigate the first season and try to outrun their pasts, all while holding onto their secrets. Oh and there may be a ghost, Grace, who is haunting the hotel in hopes someone will finally figure out her secret. It will make a nice summer read for those who want to escape to and island far away.

Reservations for Nantucket please! This book gives readers deep cravings for a fabulous hotel stay that is close to restaurants, shops and the beach. And who knows…there may be a ghost lurking around.
Elin Hilderbrand hits all the marks with this story. It starts when billionaire Xavier Darling from London has purchased The Hotel Nantucket. His goal is to impress two people: Shelly Carpenter who reviews properties on a scale from one to five keys for her blog, Hotel Confidential and the other person he secretly wants to see. He hires Lizbet Keaton as the general manager. She is able to work with an obscene amount of money to put this hotel on the map.
The property which is haunted may be a plus. In 1922, a 19-year-old chambermaid, Grace Hadley, was caught in a locked closet and couldn’t escape when a fire broke out on the third floor. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it. “Ghosts are souls with unfinished business on earth, and such is the case with Grace.” After the fire, the hotel was sold and Grace decided to stay.
The hotel went through a few owners and needed a lot of work when Xavier rescued it. After an extensive renovation was completed, it was time for Lizbet to hire the staff. Every person had secrets which will now make me rethink about hotel stays. It was a page turner and the ending caught me by surprise.
The story had well-defined characters in the charming town of Nantucket with food that you could just smell miles away. “The doughnut is so good that Lizbet’s eyelids flutter closed as she has to keep herself from moaning.” If that’s not enough, at the end of the book, the author includes pages of fun places to visit, restaurant favorites and so forth. She has created another best seller.
My thanks to Elin Hilderbrand, Little, Brown and Company and NetGalley for allowing me to read this copy with an expected release date of June 14, 2022.

***I received an ARC from Netgalley and the Publisher in exchange for my honest review.***
I can’t say I love Elin Hilderbrand enough! The queen of the beach read returns this summer with a modern day ghost story that takes place in the absolutely luxurious Hotel Nantucket. Although there are many different character plot-lines interwoven in this book, I found them all easy to follow and all equally enticing - I couldn’t put it down!
What I loved about this book:
*The relatable characters and their stories.
*Also the growth/ lessons learned during their summer experience at the hotel.
*The details the author includes about the hotel that had me literally searching for vaca spots in Nantucket midway through.
What I could have gone without:
*The Chads 😂. I actually enjoyed this back story about sweet character Chad, but it was definitely hard to believe he would work at the hotel as a maid.
*The hotel blogger and who that turned out to be; it’s alway hard to believe that social media KEY players are regular people…
*Richie 😭 - although a great story, I wanted this to end differently.
Overall, Hilderbrand stays true to her brand and delivers another amazing story. Be sure to grab this tried and true beach read on 6/14!
