I did not like this book at all. Many things the author said and some of the claims she made seemed far fetched. I am a Christian and I love using holistic health treatments so it definitely wasn't the topic that I didn't like or that turned me off.

I would not recommend this book to someone completely new to natural and holistic health as the author doesn't include warnings and possible side effects and seems totally against modern medicine. It seemed to me that she was just repeating many popular theories without research.
I found the information to be one sided and potentially harmful.

A beautiful look though how to utilize your inner light in life and how to make your life brighter. Pun intended. Highly recommend. Especially loved the reflection to true life to humanize my feelings and relate. I felt like this book was SPEAKING TO ME. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Heal from Within by Katie Beecher is a guidebook for intuitive wellness. I'm going to be honest, this book just did not work for me. Maybe I just had high expectations, or I'm just not the right target audience. I've had a lot of problems with the book while reading, but I will say it does provide some good advice here and there.
The author references and uses Jungian Therapy repeatedly throughout the book. Jungian Therapy originates from the works of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist who did have some opinions that one could perceive as controversial. The author also uses religious spirituality - one of the reasons I might not be the best target audience since I'm spiritual, but not religious - within the book and has commented on how spiritual influences could influence physical conditions.
Unfortunately, the phrasing of some of the comments can come off rather harmful, especially to others who have mental illnesses, and at times can come off a bit ableist, even if that is not the writer's intention.
At about 34% of the book, the writer promotes the use of coffee enemas to help detoxify the body. However, there is no evidence to support this claim and medical authorities usually advise that this might be dangerous as it carries serious risks such as infections, seizures, heart and lung problems as well as death. The fact the writer neglected to include that information comes off very irresistible to her readers. I wish that she had included the risks within the book for the safety and well-being of her readers. Just saying "if you're not allergic to coffee" doesn't reduce the risk, nor does it help inform her readers of the risks. It still leaves the author also potentially vulnerable to a lawsuit if something were to occur. I seriously just wish that the author had mentioned the risks so that the readers could make an informed decision on whether or not they were going to try it out.
She has also mentioned the use of colloidal silver to help treat sinus problems, however, the use of colloidal silver isn't recommended by the FDA and cites that there is harm in using it.
I did find the writer to be a bit hypocritical when she mentioned how she wished for vaccines to come with a list of risks - maybe it varies from location to location and by vaccine, but all the ones I've gotten have had the risks - but didn't mention the risks of using things like coffee enemas and colloidal silver especially when it is recommended against use.
At times, while reading, the writer came off a bit anti-medication. With such a stigma around medication, the use of langue around it is vital to ensure you're not accidentally giving off the wrong impression.

I wish I could say that I would recommend Heal from Within to others, but I just cannot in good conscious. The good advice in the book just didn't outweigh the information that was alarming to me.

Lots of good information. As a person newly diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, I found Beechers tone both informative and inspiring. Planning to buy a copy when released for my own shelves. A solid contribution to the work on healing.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for providing an early edition of this audiobook for review purposes.

This audiobook was narrated by an author, who has done an excellent job - clear and empathic, and easy to listen to.

This book is written by a medical intuitive counselor, and discusses alternative methods to healing. I would recommend this book to people who are new to considering alternative healing, mainly psychological approach. It addresses that your mind and body needs to be function together, and often times your symptoms are physical evidences of your psychological or mental disorder. The author connects ailments with chakras, which are associated with different parts of body and has different colors. I found some ideas fascinating, while majority of the book wasn't new to me because I have explored alternative medicines previously. There are also additional information and references for other books, which might be very useful if you have particular ailments that needs to be addressed. The book is more for a general introduction to intuitive approach, rather than having deep dive into any specific issues. I especially found descriptions regarding migraines interesting personally, because I have never thought of it from this angle.
Overall, I agree with alternative medicine approach for a holistic being, and it was nice to have a new book for people who are new to the ideas.
