I really liked this book because there was a V.E.S.T. that was NOT really a V.E.S.T.!!!It was a disguise that automatically made Mango unrecognisable. The dilemma was that the paintings had been stolen and replaced.Turns out the art thief was Savanna.Oh... did I forget to mention that there was a lot of puking in the middle of the book.At the end of the book[if you recall, in the last book,Crackerdile{or whatever! you-know-who}got killed.] lots of "Crackerdiles"started forming. And also,Cilantro has her own series now!!!It's called "Agents Of S.U.I.T."
This was a fun read :)) Mango and Bras are going to investigate a theft. All the characters are cute, love them.
Thanks to NetGalley for this relaxing adventure.
This is the first book in the InvestiGators series that I have read. It tells of two fun and silly alligators who are trying to solve the mystery of who stole the art from the museum.
I am a second grade teacher and I can confidently say that my students would love this book. The humor and puns make it even better. Adults reading this book with their child will also appreciate some of the humor that may go above the child's head!
There is what my class calls "bathroom" humor in this book. But it's not too over the top or done in a way that my students may end up repeating it.
This would be a great book for any reader both confident and struggling who enjoys a silly mystery.
Thank you #NetGalley and First Second Books for the arc of 'InvestiGators: Heist and Seek.'
InvestiGators Mango and Brash are back in this sixth installment of the series to solve a mysterious art heist. Going undercover as a fancy artist to infiltrate the fundraising gala and get clues to solve the case, the InvestiGators' antics and dialogue are as witty, funny, and smart as ever. Author John Patrick Green uses the graphic novel format cleverly, engaging readers and breaking the fourth wall to advance the plot and inspire laughs. Full of the InvestiGators' playful language and puns, new and returning readers to the series will enjoy this journey into the art world.
The InvestiGators couldn't be more in demand in my Media Center and this latest addition will be right up there with the rest. I couldn't go without laughing on every single page. The jokes, the puns, the humor is hysterical for all ages.
The plot involves another fast-paced, fun adventure of Mango and Brash who serve as undercover agents and unravel the mystery of stolen museum paintings. The illustrations are vivid, colorful and enticing. The dialogue is right on in describing the actions of the InvestiGators. The author does a superb job of appealing to all reading levels. Can't wait for this one to on our shelves!
The InvestiGators are back again as they solve mysteries and have fun! Recommended for collections with a demand for YGN.
I already have students asking for this book. They love this series. It’s funny and very entertaining. I think this one is my favorite in the series. I loved the adventure.
