I am really enjoying Mary Kay Andrews' work recently. This almost cozy crime meets rom-com is right up my alley. This also shows a little insight into Andrews' own connection to flipping houses and making them majestic places to live and stay. I really enjoyed spending time with the characters, learning more about who they are and their backstories, as well as piecing together the mystery that accompanied this house renovation. Another charmer!

The Homewreckers by Mary Kay Andrews is a fabulous read, perfect for a beach or vacation trip. Hattie Kavanaugh is a young widow who is trying to turn her life around. I absolutely loved it. It hooked me in from the first page. It was filled with drama, romance, and mystery. Ms. Andrews is one of my favorite authors and I highly recommend this book! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of The Homewreckers in exchange for an honest review.

I did not finish this book and I have been trying for months. I even had a friend get this book after the pub date so she could buddy read it with me to hopefully help me get through it. She finished it (and gave it 3⭐️) and I still didn’t. I’ve tried a few more times since. I think the main issue I’m having is I just cannot keep any of the characters straight and it’s making the story very confusing.

I think the concept sounds very interesting, though, and if you have an easy time with many characters, this may be the book for you.

Widowed Hattie Kavanaugh went to work restoring old house when she married her husband at 18 and continued working with her father-in-law after Hank’s passing at 25. While working on an old stately mansion, she’s approached by a producer wanting to make a show about her renovations. Doubtful, she reluctantly accepts and is instantly courted by the show’s famous, handsome designer. Is it Hattie’s time to find love for the second time?

Homewreckers is the perfect beach read. I loved everything about it. Full of mystery, laughs, tears and romance, it’s everything Chick lit is supposed to be!

What a fun read! This book had a good mix of character development and background, plot moving storyline, and some mystery mixed in. There was just enough of each aspect to keep me invested and not so much that it felt like too much. I also really liked the main character. Hattie Kavenaugh, was likable and endearing, and carried her own in a mostly male dominated industry This would be a great summer read!

House renovating is a hobby/job that has always interested me. With that being said, I loved the storyline of this book! Hattie Kavanaugh has been "flipping houses" since she was 18 years old. Due to finances, she is unable to continue her renovation on her current flip until she is provided with the opportunity to be on a reality show. This was a great summer read, and I loved watching the story unfold.

My first Mary Kay Andrews book, but definitely not my last!

A book by Mary Kay Andrews is guaranteed to brighten your library! This novel doesn’t disappoint! Renovation of a crumbling property becomes a cold case involving a missing woman. All plays out for a television crew. A delightful novel as always!

A big thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me the opportunity to read this book. I was really excited to read a new MKA book and this one did not disappoint. It was everything I wanted. A little bit of romance, mystery, and of course the great chemistry between the characters. This is definitely going to be a re-read for me.

Mary Kay Andrews knows how to tell a story, and this is no exception. The return to mystery writing (sorta) is a huge pleasure, and this book is fun, twisty, and the perfect summer read.

Thank you Net Galley for a copy of The Homewreckers by Mary Kay Andrew's. This was my first book read from this author. I felt like it dragged in areas and I was disappeared in the character development.

The Homewreckers is Mary Kay Andrews at her finest. The Savannah setting is beautifully and lovingly described. Hattie is the strong but plucky heroine that I wanted her to be, and there are good love interests, friends, and members of her community. The mystery of this one is really solid and also moving. A great beach read that's a must for the author's fandom.

Thank you to the publisher for my review copy. All opinions are my own.

So Homewreckers. I liked you. I didn't quite love you as much as I have loved other MKA's. That is not to say I didn't enjoy it. I did. Solid read....just not my favorite of hers.

I loved the premise. I just wasn't completely sold on our female protagonist Hattie. I had a harder time connecting with her. Overall. It's not really Summer until I read MK. 3 1/2 stars rounded up!

Savannah has my heart and this book made me want to explore more parts, ie TYBEE! Thanks to Net Galley for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!

It was not my intention to read two books about home reno’s in a row but here we are lol. I packed all my physical books so I’m stuck with the kindle while we move… what better time than now to get caught up on my ARCs! Since I read this book right after Maggie Moves On, naturally I was comparing the two and I can say I for sure liked this one better. There was a HUGE mystery aspect in this that I didn’t expect that was super enjoyable. This was my second Mary Kay Andrews book (the first being The Santa Suit, which I loved) and I can definitely say I’m a fan. This sort of felt like a Christina Lauren meets a Diane Chamberlain which are two very different authors but literally I can think of no better way to describe it. For sure excited to dive into more Mary Kay Andrews books!

It follows Hattie on her latest renovation project and has many twist and turns throughout. It’s a great Summer read and I recommend it!

I love MKA and this book was a great summer read. For those who love a little mystery with their romance, it definitely fills the cup in both areas. I loved the cold-case aspect of the book and how the current characters were so engaged and involved with helping to solve. I think the characters were solid and the story line was a definite winner!

What a great summer read! Mary Kay Andrews definitely earned five stars on this book! There was romance and mystery, with a little comedy sprinkled in as well. I think a lot of women can relate to Hattie's life struggles. As for Trae, some of us are smart enough not to fall for him and his tricks. We're more interested in the Mos in the world! I will definitely be recommending this book to my reader friends! Definitely will be on the lookout for Mary Kay's next book!

I've been wanting to read this author for a long time & was pleasantly surprised as I was not expecting it to have a suspense aspect to it. I did find the 1st part of the book slow & hard to get into, but I'm glad I continue reading as the twist at the end of quite unexpected.

I received this advance review copy from from NetGalley & the publisher for my honest review.
