The first few chapters have me hooked. It's just as good, if not better than the first book.
I can't wait to get my hands on a full copy!

A great preview of the follow-up to Boyfriend Material! Excited to see these characters again, and see their relationship develop further. The supporting characters have a great dynamic, and it was lovely to be back in this world. Looking forward to reading more once out.

The same witty internal monologue and swoony feeling as the first. The first five chapters set up some great internal struggle for Luc and some wonderful support (as always) from Oliver. I cannot wait to read the rest.

I loved getting a glimpse of these two adorable, quirky, perfectly suited babies. I'd forgotten how much I was missing Luc and Oliver till I started this preview.
The best part of this is that Luc and Oliver aren't suddenly completely well adjusted humans after the last HEA. They have their own fledgling problems even though they love each other desperately. I'm very excited to see how their story unfolds in this book.
Husband Material cannot get here sooner!

I really enjoyed this preview. I loved the first book, Boyfriend Material, and I can’t wait to read more. The preview just wasn’t enough, but I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of Lucien and Oliver. They’ve become like my emotional support couple. Just reading them together has become my happy place.

After reading first 5 chapters of Husband Material, it only made me so much more excited for the full book!! The first chapters were perfectly setting up the rest of the book and I cant wait to fully dive back in to Luc and Oliver's world!!

I had the pleasure of reading the first five chapters and I cannot WAIT for the full book. All of the charm and wit from Boyfriend Material is still there plus the added bonus of already knowing and loving Oliver and Lucien. Can’t wait to see where this goes!

I cannot wait to read more. I really want the complete ARC but am so grateful for these breadcrumbs. I absolutely love the author’s writing style and the chemistry these two have.

This preview is a pure delight. Luc is still a hilarious narrator and a bit of a disaster, His friends are all still very much themselves (with some new developments in their lives because that's how life goes). Rhys and Alex are still their ridiculous selves. Etc.
I was already eager to read the full book and now I am even more eager.
I should say, the place where the preview leaves off is not super angsty but it is not zero angst, and now I'll be sitting with that angst a tiny bit until the full book is available (even though I absolutely expect it to be funny and fun and have a happy ending), so factor that in to whether you want to read the preview or wait for the book.

I enjoyed the preview, and am looking forward to seeing how this one will end. After reading Boyfriend Material, I'm glad that Luc is getting an opportunity for further character development.

I absolutely adored Boyfriend Material and this preview made me super excited for this next book!
Husband Material takes place 2 years after the end of Boyfriend Material and things are going well, until their not. The first few chapters of this preview really sucked me in and I cannot wait for the book release in August to see where the story is headed.

LOVE LOVE LOVE, I absolutely cannot wait for the full book! What an exciting first preview! Alexis Hall appears to have done it again.

I absolutely loved Boyfriend Material with its perfect mix of humor and misery, quirky friends, heartbreak and snarky remarks! Husband Material is therefore one of my most anticipated new releases this year and I’m so grateful for this preview and the opportunity to read the first five chapters of it. And it sure did not disappoint! On the contrary, if anything this preview got me even more eager for this book to come out, I’m now absolutely desperate to know what happens next!
It was so wonderful to be back in Luc’s and Oliver’s world, and meet all their hilarious friends again. I love Alexis Hall’s writing style and the snarky, British humor and all the emotions. Behind the humor there’s always so many feels!
All I can say after reading the preview is that Husband Material will be just as cute, witty and entertaining as Boyfriend Material was, but that there sure will be some hiccups, angst and heartbreak along the way…
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my preview of this book. Can’t wait to read the rest of the story!

Last year I read Boyfriend material and I fell in love with Lucien and Oliver, so saying that I am waiting anxiously for this second book is an understatement.
Reading only the first five chapters I can already tell that there's going to be a lot of drama, but I hope that all will end well.
If you want to read a cute lgbt romance that deals with deeper issues without becoming too heavy, than you should definitely read the first book and then wait patiently for the release of the second!
I personally can't wait.

I lived the humour and touching romance in the first book, and I really, reallyyy can't wait to read this one.

I absolutely LOVED Boyfriend Material and I screamed at everyone who wanted to hear about it and also everyone who did not. They were all forced to read it, no exceptions.
I really hate samplers, because they always just make me want more. This one was no exception.
I need this book NOW!

I loved Boyfriend Material and I feel so happy to have had a chance to preview Husband Material. I'm legitimately desperate for the rest of it. Please put the full egalley up to request. Please?

This was an amazing start to Husband Material! It had some great fluff, yet was full of emotion and left me wanting more. There was some angst between Luc and Oliver that left me wondering what would happen and if they would be okay. The fact that Hall shoved this much emotion into this small preview was amazing and I need to read more!

It's hard not to enjoy this preview because I really like Luc and Oliver, and it's fun seeing where they're at two years later. But I can't say I'm thrilled with the setup of Miles serving as a similar story arc as Luc's father in the first book, and the preview ends on a not-great moment between Luc and Oliver that has me worried about what kind of second book this is going to be. I prefer ones where the characters work and grow together over ones where they break up before getting back together, and I'm afraid this is headed towards the latter. But I'm still excited to see where things go!

I missed this characters so much! This was a really good preview and I can't wait to read the whole book!
