Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher/author for providing me with an ALC in exchange for my honest review.
This book was exactly what I wanted it to be! I loved it. I will make sure to check out other books by this author. When I requested this I was just intrigued by the concept of it and I loved how it turned out. This story had a great plot and if you have read this and enjoyed it, This was so much. It was such a great story. I would say give this one a try. I will continue to follow this author. Way to go to this author for not letting me down.
I highly enjoyed the narrator of the audiobook. Kept me listening.
Set in a gritty urban landscape, the story follows protagonist Ember, a young woman with a mysterious past and a powerful connection to the supernatural realm.
Mayo's writing is fast-paced and immersive, drawing readers into a dark and atmospheric world filled with danger and intrigue. From the heart-pounding action sequences to the tantalizing hints of forbidden romance, every page is filled with twists and turns that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.
At its core, "Rise of the Demon Inferno" is a story about identity, power, and the choices we make in the face of adversity. As Ember grapples with her own inner demons and the sinister forces that threaten to destroy everything she holds dear, she must confront her own fears and embrace her true destiny. With its compelling characters, thrilling plot, and tantalizing world-building, "Rise of the Demon Inferno" is sure to captivate fans of urban fantasy and leave them eagerly awaiting the next installment in the series.
This book begins with darkness. We start the story with a scene in which a battle takes place between supernatural characters with amazing powers of flight and fire. This scene would look so amazing on the big screen. Then the story immediately shifts to the story of a family with three siblings beginning the fall semester in a new high school. This new town is mysterious, filled with evil that surrounds them. I had a hard time going through this book. I got confused with the siblings (a sister and two brothers), and their relationships with other high schoolers. For me, there seemed to be so many characters to keep up with that I became confused, and I stopped caring about any of them. Perhaps it is my ADHD, but this book didn't pull me in like it wanted it to.
I was unable to finish this book. The story did not capture my attention and the switch in views made it hard to keep up with.
Loved Legendborn and looking for a book to tide you over until it's sequel? This is it! Angels, demons, and more do battle in the realm of American realness of crushes, job loss, and East coast settings. I enjoyed my reading thus far and look forward to the subsequent books!
“Rise Of The Demon Inferno” seems to be a debut novel for the author Tamara Mayo and she definitely has a winner on her hands. Siblings Luke, Matt, and Shana are not too happy with moving from Philadelphia to South Carolina a small town. The siblings are in high school and when they arrive at school they notice that things are off, great observation for the siblings. This book drew me in with the cover. I don’t usually read about angels, demons and humans waging wars. But by far this was an interesting read. This book had me hooked to the very end. I loved the characters and the plot.
I received an ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Angels, demons and the ultimate good versus evil. I fell in love with the story and characters. The dynamics are mind blowing and main characters of color is also am exciting facet of this book. Hope they'll be another installment.
Characters 3/5
Plot 3.8/5
Not gonna lie I'm not much of a fan of most of the Characters especially the Villains they felt a bit too mustache twirling and the heros were bit annoying. The plot however is where it does it for me and it honestly got me interested in the next book just to see what happens next.
This book was a DNF. There is nothing wrong with the writing or the concept, I just wasn't as in to the story line as I thought I would be. I read it for a whole week and found myself not wanting to pick up my Kindle.
I will try reading it again in the future.
Angels, Demons and Humans...what more is there to say! Myth, folklore, and magic come to life on the page as Naya and her band of demon hybrids battle the ultimate evil in this imaginative work of epic high fantasy.
Rise of the Demon Inferno written by Tamara Mayo is a twist on a classic tale of good vs evil battling it out. The author did a phenomenal job portraying her characters in great details. I really felt connected with them throughout the book. I felt the emotional rollercoaster of reactions from the Carter clan as they realized what was happening in their town. I appreciated the author providing history on Naya, Ana and Carlo.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great book involving demons and humans. Overall a fantastic read!
Thank you to NetGalley and Taevo Publishing for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
As a big fantasy reader, this was a good fit to me and my preference. the worldbuilding is kind of vague at first but It was getting better as the story went on. This book had forbidden love, dangerous love triangle, fallen angel, Lucifer, all while tied together with engaging and exciting adventure. recommend it so much!
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Fantasy lovers, this one is for you!
I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I started reading but I started and finished it in one day!
It’s the battle of good versus evil with Elder Luc (Lucifer) with a kind heart and love for the main character, Naya, a demon, Angel, and human hybrid!
The story starts with The Carter Siblings, who move to a rural town in South Carolina from Philadelphia. Upon entering the local high school on their first day the all sense something is off especially after they meet the students.
I love how the author took the time to weave an intricate storyline between the present and past. She took the time to give a “spiritual history” so the reader understands how they got to present day and how everyone has a role to play.
It truly made me think and creation, free will and humanity’s role on this earth. Without giving too much away, be prepared to embrace a different “spiritual history”.
Overall I loved this book! Excited to add to my collection.
Thanks to NetGalley and Taevo Publishing for providing an advanced copy.
I found this to be an enjoyable read. It was well written with a compelling sotyrline and well developed characters. It was a slow burner book with a gentle pace and I would have prefered a faster pace, however I ejoyed the book and look forward to book two.
Beautiful cover and premise. While it was on the chunky side it was a good storyline. I can see all the imagination behind the stories. I loved exploring the world created. I gave it 3.5 stars
I did not vibe with this story. I found it difficult to get into and disliked the writing style. Plus, this book is 700 pages, which is way to long for a book that I’m not enjoying.
So I realize that this book is clearly about demons, but I didn’t enjoy the religious side of the story.
I really enjoyed this book. I did take me quite long to finish but the plot was what got me hooked. Also anything with angels immediately attracts me and gets my attention so that is a plus.
The change in narrative was very confusing at first but I got used to it as I went along.
This book has great potential.
An interesting concept for a story , I love any books with the whole angels fighting demons war. I wasn't blown away as much I'd have liked to been and the constant changes in narratives got confusing after a while. The opening chapters were powerful and had so much going on but after that it was a little lackluster.
