By far one of my favorite romcom covers of the year! I enjoyed this sweet and slightly magical romance featuring law student Cass and the man she dreams of while in a coma. A subtle While you were sleeping remake, Cass wakes up after a traumatic brain injury convinced she's in love with the man who seems so real. Fast forward a year and she runs into him at a charming flower shop in Cleveland. For his part Devin finds the whole idea a little strange but when Cass undeniably knows personal details about himself, he agrees to see where things might go.
What Cass didn't plan on is Devin's brother Perry and just how much chemistry there is with the one she didn't see coming. Fun and flirty and mostly PG (except for one steamy scene in the epilogue), this was a light-hearted, feel good romance that has Cass fighting to help save Perry's flower shop and figuring out who her true love really is. Recommended for fans of Hannah Orenstein's Meant to be mine or Lizzy Dent's The setup and great on audio narrated by Lindsey Dorcus. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advance review copy!
Look at that adorable cover!
The story was cute and quirky, too. It was such a fun premise for a romance.
It's a perfect book for a summer afternoon. I do wish one of the secondary plot points had been written more sensitively, though.
I'm definitely looking forward to Angie Hockman's next book!
Dream On is a spectacular read; I loved everything about it. It's charming, delightful, and funny. All the different storylines are woven together perfectly. The mystery of how and the revelation of Cass and Devin's original meeting is stunning. The tension between Cass and Perry was palpable from the beginning, which, of course, led to a lot of pining. Despite how it looks, there is really no love triangle here, just Cass trying to figure out her life. Honestly, I adored this book and can't recommend it highly enough.
This was the 2nd novel that I picked up from Angie Hockman, and I really enjoyed it! The premise was really unique ~ I don't think I have ever read a book with a dream boyfriend coming to life! We all want our fictional boyfriends to appear in our real lives, so I really wished for something like Cass' life to happen in my life. 😭😭😭
Angie Hockman's writing is so addictive! I loved the characters and their journey. Cass' growth throughout the story was really remarkable. She grew a lot, and I always love to see that for female leads. I liked how the author showcased how Cass had to adjust to the idea of Devin, compared to what she experienced about him in her dreams.
Overall, it was a lovely read! 💕 I am looking forward to Angie's upcoming books!
At first I had a hard time really getting into this story but the more I read I understood why it was set up the way it was. Overall, this book was a such a fun romance. I enjoyed the mystery about how she has memories of this man she’s never met. The cover is absolutely gorgeous! It give off major summer vibes to me!

Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for this arc in exchange for my honest thoughts!
When Cass wakes up from a coma, she has the image and information of a man no one in her life has met stuck in her brain. Several months after waking up, she steps into a flower shop and runs into Devin, the man in her brain, who says he has never met her. Devin is intrigued and his brother Perry is skeptical. A plot involving the brother’s father’s company and the law firm Cass works for forces the three together.
This book was fine. I was intrigued by the blurb but found the book itself falling flat. I don’t enjoy love triangles, especially ones like this where it is obvious who she ends up with but spends so much time exploring the other paring. I was also extremely bothered by the sub-plot involving Devin’s ex-girlfriend, specifically by how trivialized the miscarriage was treated. Also, what period blood would Devin have seen in her garbage, the wrapping for a pad or tampon, sure, but blood in the trash? It just didn’t make sense. Another thing that really bothered me, has this author never heard of an NDA? As someone who works with lawyers, there is no way Cass would have been able to tell her friend the details of a case work meeting and not faced any legal consequences, whether she continued working at the firm or not. I also found it weird that the book had zero hint of steam beyond a couple kisses until the epilogue. It was like the author added the scene as an after thought rather than as a way to show our characters growing closer.
I genuinely liked Cass and found her coma story very interesting, but the rest of the book was just not for me. The side characters of Perry, Marcus, and Brie are by far the best parts of the story, but they were unfortunately relegated to the side. I really wish I had liked this book more, but alas.
Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for the ARC.
This was such an interesting premise for a book! Dream On follows Cass after she wakes up from a week-long coma. When she wakes up, she starts asking to see her boyfriend, only to find out that he doesn't exist even though she has multiple memories and details about him. A year later, she runs into him and finds out that he is real, but can real-life match up to the dream version of him?
I loved Shipped and I adored this book as well. The two main characters are insanely cute together and the mini twist that happened in the beginning. There were a lot of adorable moments and we also got to see Cass grow as a person individually as well as in a relationship. Also bonus points for any book that takes place in Ohio.
I look forward to reading more books by Angie Hockman!
This book was such a cute, heartwarming romance!! I loved how fun and quirky Shipped was, so I was so excited to read Dream On.
Cass, our heroine, suffers a traumatic brain injury and is told that the man she remembers as her boyfriend, Devin, isn’t actually real. But then, almost a year after her accident, she runs into Devin! This trope was so well played and I loved how the characters developed. I loved that Cass had to peel apart her thoughts of who Devin should be vs who he really is. And all of the characters that emerge as important to her in her post-accident existence make this story so full of love and life.
My only CON with the book is it had a lot of typos and punctuation errors, so hopefully that’s fixed soon (I was reading a digital pre-release copy).

After waking up to hear from Dr's and family members that the boyfriend you dreamnt about isn't real. Then actually meeting the guy the year after is beyond crazy! What's crazier is that he believes her story and a romance starts to blossom. I completely loved this book so much! Highly recommend!
I read Angie Hockman’s debut novel, Shipped, last year and I loved it! So naturally I was very excited to see her second novel.
This cover is everything - it’s so cute!! And the explanation as to why Cass was dreaming of Devin surprised me - such a clever plot! If you’re looking for a sweet romantic read where the main character finds herself and love, this one is for you!
Another adorable book by Angie Hockman. A strong main female main character, who has her flaws, but rises above her issues. Despite this being a love story, there are some heavy, yet realistic, issues both personal, familial and in the relationships (friends, family and loves.) Cass Walker wakes up from a coma imagining a boyfriend that doesn’t exist. Until she actually meets the real guy a year later. With many surprises and complications being thrown their way, can their love last? I was sad to see this book end and look forward to Angie Hockman’s next book!
Thank you netgalley for my advanced reader copy!
When I seen one of my favorite romance authors Angie Hockman coming out with a new stunning novel I jump all over it! DREAM ON is seriously one of the cutest, funniest most realistic stores I've read in awhile. I've the chemistry between Cass and Devin was outstanding, remarkable even. I couldn't get enough of them. And when I don't want a book to end and wish it was 500 pages that's when I know I have read a five star book! Angie, you outside yourself here. If you read one romamce novel for the year of 2022 make it Dream On! Meet the most tempting, enchanting, sizzling romamce of the year guys! Gallery Books, I love you and can't thank you enough for this DRC. Truly grateful for the opportunity to read it. I will post to my blog and platforms close to pub date.
I love this book! It’s a sweet summer romance read that you’re sure to enjoy!
Cass wakes up from a coma with vivid memories of a Devon, a very devoted and wonderful boyfriend. The problem is that he doesn’t exist. She insists he does, and can’t seem to let the idea of him go.
Cass heals and tries to move on with her life. Things are going well for her, when she does see him! Devon exists. Things aren’t quite what she remembers and there’s even a new man in the mix.
This was such a sweet and enjoyable book. This has become one of my favorite romcom books!

Happy publication day! Thank you @gallerybooks @goodreads @netgalley for my review copies!
📖Cass wakes up from a coma after a car accident and immediately asks about her boyfriend. The problem is that he doesn’t exist. Her memories feel so real and yet everyone tells her that she dreamed him up. When she runs into him a year later and tells him her crazy story, he believes her and they begin a real life romance.
💭This was a cute, fun romance. I enjoyed the characters and the mystery about how she could possibly have memories of this man she’s never met. I liked the way it all wrapped up in the end and I was left with a smile. Plus, how gorgeous is this cover?! If you’re looking for a fun summer/pool read, I’d recommend this one!
This book is a little hard to review because while I had a little trouble with it in the first half, I think a lot of the issues I had were done on purpose for the sake of the journey the book wants to take you on. The premise is a good one. Cass Walker wakes up from a coma with memories of a man named Devin who doesn't seem to exist. One day Cass stumbles into a flower shop and ends up meeting the real Devin who believes her and her memories and the two of them grow close as she tries to figure out how she knows him.
Cass is working as a summer associate in order to earn back her first year associate position. I have to admit that I found this sort of difficult to read as someone who also was a summer associate and spent years toiling in big law. A lot of Cass' experiences mirrored my own although she ended up making better decisions than I did with her legal career.
Devin is Cass' dream man and as she is working on getting her dream job, Cass begins to wonder if it is everything she thought she wanted.
There are lots of twists and turns with this story and some, for me, paid off more than others. I loved the end result of the love story and some of those scenes are so lovely.
However, as much as parts of the book worked for me, there were some things at the end that I find frustrating. In particular, is a side plot with the character Mercedes that I still can't believe resolved the way that it did.
Overall I found this book to be a mixed bag but I still enjoyed reading it for the love story.

💐Review - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5💐
🗓Pub Date: July 5, 2022 (today!)
Cass Walker wakes up from a coma after being in a car accident. When she wakes up, she has flashbacks of her boyfriend, Devin. The only problem is, Cass doesn’t have a boyfriend and didn’t have one before the accident. She swears he’s real and can remember his face and so many other details of his life, but no one believes her and thinks it’s a symptom of her brain injury from the car accident.
Until one day, months after the accident, Cass is walking home from her summer internship at a prestigious law firm. She decides to stop by a local flower shop to get some flowers to celebrate having a second chance at her dream job. Upon entering the flower shop, she meets a cute guy and then notices someone familiar in the background.. Devin.
Now knowing that he really exists, Cass sets out on a mission to figure out how she knows Devin, if they have met before or how their paths may have crossed. In doing so, Cass goes on her own journey of self discovery and figures out where her real passion lies, what she wants to do with her life, and who she wants to spend it with. Is Devin truly the man of Cass’ dreams? Or is there someone else out there she’s meant to be with?
I devoured this story. I finished it within 24 hours and I enjoyed all the twists and turns. I found all the characters to be likable, in their own ways, and loved seeing their development throughout the story.
I’m usually not a fan of love triangles, but I found it really worked for this storyline. While the love triangle trope worked, I’m still not a fan of the miscommunication trope and that was also present throughout.
I highly recommend Dream On to anyone who enjoys a strong female heroine and a romance with some twists and turns.

Cas wakes up from a coma after 6 days only to realize that the man she has been dreaming about isn't really her boyfriend. Turns out, she doesn't even know him at all. She thought she had been with him for 3 months, knows so many things about him, but she's never met him.. yet.
Cass's family is concerned for her because she can't let "Devin" go. There has to be a reason she can't stop thinking about him. After a rough day she stops into a flower shop and is immediately drawn to the owner, Perry. He is a sweet guy who just wants to make her smile. In the next instant, out walks his brother, Devin, the man of her dreams. In the flesh and blood. After fainting, she tells them the tale of her coma and dreams about Devin and Perry is skeptical (and thinks she might be an internet stalker) but Devin is willing to hear her out. Maybe she will find her true love after all.
I don't want to give too much away here but it is important to note that dreams aren't always as amazing as they seem. I will say that everyone in the book was lovely, even her work collegue that you might hate at first. Ok, WELL, Devin and Perry's dad is terrible, but that's about it. I loved this sweet swoon worthy romance and it made my heart smile.
Thank you to Gallery Books, Angie Hockman and Netgalley for an early copy.
Dream On is about Cass who wakes up from a coma with a full memory of a three month long relationship with Devin. But there is no such relationship. Just as she's ready to move on from the imaginary relationship, she runs into Devin! Is he her dream or, or should he just stay in dreams?
Overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.2
I enjoyed reading this book so much! From the beginning, I didn't want to put this book down. I enjoyed its message, its romance, its characters...
The main conflict of this book is an internal one; do you choose to follow your heart, or do you choose to follow success? Do you stick to your idea of what you should be doing or do you listen to your instincts? This isn't limited to just the romance, but also general direction of life, career and so on.
Even though I don't usually like love triangles because of all the angst and drama it generates, I thought this one was handled very well. And it played very well with the overall message of the book. Plus the romance I was rooting for won out, so definitely can't complain. 😆 Speaking of the romance, I loved the love interest she ends up with. The yearning that they have on both sides was 🤌🤌🤌 Plus the guy was so incredibly thoughtful and nice. With each gesture he did, even before they were a couple, he kept making me go "awww".
I do wish the main romance played a bigger part of the book. It's not that I didn't enjoy the other events that happened, but I would have preferred to see the couple together for longer.
The premise felt unique and fun as well. Trying to figure out why the main character, Cass, wakes up believing she was in a relationship with a guy she never met adds a level of intrigue to the book which made me wanna turn the pages even more.
I loved all the friendships in the book. Not only between the Cass and Brie but also all the other friends of the love interests that all come together to help one of them.
My one issue with the book was that there were some insensitive wording used in the book. Nothing offensive necessarily, but enough to make me wish more care was taken with some of those word choices.
Overall this was a very fun romance, where I totally agreed with all of the decisions that the main character made both in her work and love life, which is quite rare for me!
Thank you so much to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the eARC!
Dream On by Angie Hockman is the cute summer romcom you need in your life this year.
We follow Cass, a up and coming lawyer, who gets into a really bad car accident. When Cass wakes up from her coma she has this memory of her dream man and boyfriend….only Cass doesn’t have a boyfriend and her brain made it all up. Until a year later she actually finds the man she dreamed about.
I found the writing and execution of this book to be very well done. It flowed nicely and did not drag at all. I really enjoyed the path Cass took to really find herself in this book. There were moments of mentioning something a few times in the beginning and then never coming back to it later when it probably should have again. I felt like there were part of Devin that were just annoying and Perry was cute!
I would have loved more of The Colonel though.
What I found the most off putting or annoying was during the middle section of the book just everything felt unbelievable. There were a few small time jumps in the middle of a chapter that I also did not like.
This is not a bad book at all, it is actually pretty good. Not the best romance I have ever read, but it did the job it was supposed to. There is no spice in this at all so if spice is your thing don’t read this. If no spice, until the epilogue and even then it was not really that spicy, is your thing then this is for you!
3.5 stars rounded up to 4
Anything Angie Hockman writes, I’m going to read! What drew me in, was the gorgeous cover, I mean come on, look at it! This story ended up being so much fun, I had to know what happened! Seriously hooked from the first 20 pages. I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll just say you absolutely need to read it! Overall, I really enjoyed the plot and the characters.
Imagine you’re Cass Walker, a girl who wakes up from a coma with memories of a boyfriend she never had. Turns out, he’s real, and Cass is determined to figure out what happened to her memories.
