Cute cover and blurb but it’s the author that has me grabbing this one. Loved her debut book and this one really caught my eye with that blurb!

What did I like? Well the story itself is unique…. And it totally sucked me in! Right from the first page I just loved the characters! The story dips and turns but Cass was such a delight! As she navigates her way with Devin I just love how the author throws a wrench into the plans. I couldn’t put it down! Five fabulous stars!

Would I recommend or buy? I already ordered a signed copy. I really enjoyed the book and look forward to many more great stories from this author. Highly recommend you grab your own copy!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left this opinion.

Thank you NetGalley for the digital arc! I LOVED THIS ONE. It was so sweet, cute, and full of hope and love. It is funny and had an original plot I hadn’t seen in a while (if I have ever seen before?). It had so many reminiscent qualities of WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING (1995) which is a favorite of mine. I loved this story from the first page!!

The novel's unique premise really carried it far. This is great for readers of "You Were There Too" and "Meant to Be Mine."

I loved Cass, she was such a relatable character, and I rooted for her the whole time. Most of the other characters are more morally (light) gray. They're overall good, but also flawed.

I flew through reading this book, though, because I wanted to know how it all came together and what was going on with Cass' coma memories. The love triangle added a lot of tension to the book, more tension that I prefer in a romance novel, but it did make the novel compelling.

This is mostly closed-door, except for the very end.

Very cute cover and premise. My first book and I was a bit disappointed. Everything fell a bit flat for me unfortunately. Other fans might enjoy but not for me,

I had such high hopes for Angie Hockman's new novel, but unfortunately they might have been a little too high! Dream On just wasn't quite as compelling as Shipped, so I found myself picking up other novels instead of this one.

When a woman wakes up from a coma, she's inundated with memories of a guy that doesn't exist. Her friends, family, and doctors all convince her he's not real....until she walks into a flower store and spots him. He agrees to try to figure out what's going on, and as they get to know each other they realize her memories may turn into something real.

However, fate doesn't always play by the rules and she finds herself questioning everything she thought she wanted.

Although romance novels always have a certain formula, the ending of this was just a little too obvious. I felt like I was reading through the plot just waiting for the outcome I knew would happen. It's certainly still a decent romance, but didn't live up to the depth, heart, and message of Shipped.

Brief Synopsis:
Cass is in a car accident and wakes up from a coma thinking of her dream man Devin. Cass thinks Devin is her boyfriend but her family and friends tell her that he doesn’t exist but a year after her accident she runs into her dream man Devin in a flower shop…

My Thoughts:
-I loved Angie’s first book shipped and knew I had to read this one!
-Angie’s writing is so fun and you immediately are drawn into the story and connect with the characters
-I really loved Cass. She was creative, strong and always stood up for what she cared for!
- The flower shop was such a central part of the book and I loved that!
-Overall if you love flower shops and twists on romance and fate you will enjoy this book!

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley! I loved Shipped so I was excited to read this book. I loved the setting and premise of the book which sounded so unique and exciting. I loved the beginning and end but found the middle to be a little slow. It was a cute read and definitely recommend for a slow burn.

This is one of those books where if you suspend reality a bit, its good. I didn’t find myself super hooked on the premise, but I liked it enough to continue. I think the characters were all interesting, but at times a bit overly dramatic.

All in all, I didn’t like this one as much as I liked Shipped, and I’d recommend checking out the content warnings before reading this one.

Dream On has the most beautiful cover I’ve seen all year. I love that the storyline involves a medical condition that’s completely original.

Our main character Cass has had a traumatic brain injury which leads to some short term memory loss, but also a memory surplus… of a life with a boyfriend that doesn’t exist. Except she finds him working in a flower shop a year later and he has no idea who she is. There’s a different twist in this romance and I really liked bucking the gender norms (male character is a florist, female is a lawyer.)
I would consider this a clean romance. There is a very short love scene in the epilogue that is very low heat.

Thank you to Netgalley, Angie Hockman, and Simon & Schuster for providing an eARC in return for an honest review.

Both was approved and read this all today. I loved this. Perry is the sweetest little nugget and I will protect him at all costs.

Angie Hockman’s writing is fantastic, and I love the story she told. I’m a little iffy on Sadie and Devin’s story, which is why I docked a star, but otherwise loved this book. I haven’t read Shipped by her yet, but this has motivated me to.

This was a nice slow burn book, but in all honesty felt very impractical to me. I enjoyed reading it, but didn't leave any warm tingly feelings for me.

I enjoyed Hockman’s debut novel Shipped and was intrigued at the premise for Dream On. After taking the bar exam Cass Walker survives a car accident and six days in a coma. She remembers details about the perfect boyfriend Devin but her best friend and family say he doesn’t exist. Fast forward to the next year and she is recovered and ready to start her summer internship with a big law firm. While in a flower show she meets the real Devin and amazingly convinces him that somehow they are meant to be connected. His younger brother Perry isn’t as easy to convince and why does she keep thinking about him?

This is a cute slow burn romance. In fact I thought it was gong to be entirely clean until I got to the epilogue. There is lot of getting to know you moments, sweet glances and nice gestures. While I found it easy to read I thought some of the scene changes were abrupt. There would be a romantic moment and then it jumps to being at work days later. I knew in the love triangle who she would end up with early on and I was glad neither brother was a really bad guy.

I was a fan of Angie’s first book, but sadly I was not a fan of Dream On. I felt that it had a lot of potential to be romantic, but I think the plot spent too much time discussing her day to day activity in the office, and not her relationships with the two men in the book, other or any other characters in the book. I think I also felt let down by the real reason she remembered Devin. I was expecting something more…shocking. I wish I loved this book more!

Cass gets in a car a accident causing her to be in a coma for a week. After she wakes up, she has these vivid memories of a Devin Bloom, her supposed boyfriend, though there’s no history of a Devin in her contacts or photos. One year later, just when she’s about ready to get her life back on track, she stumbles upon the man of her coma dreams. Could it really be?

Let me preface this with: I loved SHIPPED. However, this one was more cosmic and unreal, though still sweet. Plus, I am a fan of Hockman’s prose. The whole waking up from a coma thing set the story up for an interesting twist of fate kind of romance, especially when Cass met the guy if her coma dreams for real. But what I didn’t expect was the love triangle! And, I felt just a little underwhelmed with how she figured out the connection to Devin. Nice touch with the lawyer details, and the side characters were great.

This book is perfect for fans of You Were There Too and the Wish You Were Here. Focused around a literal dream man, a coma patient envisions a three month long relationship while unconcious for three days. When she is just about to give up hope on determining if he is real or not she meets him. I got instant love vibes from this one immediately but really liked the concept.

I couldn’t finish this one even though I tried.. A love triangle is an immediate do not finish for me. Sorry! Excited for your next book though whenever that may be.

Take whatever negative thing I say about this book with a grain of salt because I DEVOURED this book in 24 hours. Let us dive in. This is a charming rom-com-esque book where the main character falls into a coma, creates this fake boyfriend in her mind while in a coma, and then a year after waking up and returning to normalcy, and she meets THE guy she dreamed about. AT first, I was not too fond of the idea of somehow dreaming about a person you had never met and then meeting them for the first time plot (it felt a little too unrealistic).. but as I kept reading, the plot got juicy, A LOVE TRIANGLE formed, and that had me staying up till 3 am to finish. Unlike every other rom-com I read, I was pleasantly surprised by the twist and turned in this book I did not see coming. The ending is very meh, but the suspense throughout the book makes up for it.
Thank you, NetGalley and Gallery Books, for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 (4.5)
Steam Level: 🔥🔥🔥 (one mildly descriptive sex scene)
Trigger Warning: serious car accident, coma, traumatic brain injury, brief mention of miscarriage

After a car accident and six days of being in a coma, Cassidy Walker wakes up with memories of her boyfriend Devin- a man who apparently never existed. Now, ten months later, Cass is finally regaining her independence when she enters a local flower shop and finds the real Devin! While her memories are confusing and seem a bit crazy, Devin agrees to meet with her and see if they can figure out how she knows so much about him. Soon they begin a real relationship, and they wonder if fate had a hand in bringing them together. Maybe Devin was always meant to be the man of her dreams.

I really enjoyed this book! It reminded me a lot of the movie While You Were Sleeping and the book Just Haven't Met You Yet, so if you're familiar with those then you might have an idea of where the plot is headed. In the beginning you definitely have to suspend belief a little to go along with the idea of Cass knowing intimate details about a complete stranger and him being willing to meet with her after hearing her story. By the end everything will make sense, though, and I honestly didn't mind going along with the fantasy for awhile. This book does involve a love triangle, which I know may not appeal to everyone, but I honestly thought it played out well. The romance throughout the book was so satisfying. I had butterflies in my stomach several times and was rooting for Cass to be with her soulmate. There were just so many sweet moments with kind gestures, tension filled glances, and small brushes of physical contact. It was definitely a slowburn, but I loved every little moment that built up to the finale, including the grand gesture from Cass at the end. I'm looking forward to what comes next from Angie Hockman!

Think RomCom movie circa 2004- adorable/lovable characters and predictable plot but over all exactly what you were hoping for when you sat down to consume it. A very cozy sweet read.
I would love if it got adapted to screen.

𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘖𝘯 is the story of up and coming lawyer Cassidy Walker, who after a coma inducing accident wakes up with memories of a boyfriend no-one's heard of. So when she runs into him nearly a year later everyone's convinced fate's at play and she's bound to fall for the man of her dreams?.... right!?

This is the first time I've read about a character named Perry and inherently my brain was on a loop of "Perry? Perry the platypus?!"
He was a real sweetheart though. One very kind-hearted and shy character and overall gold.

Cass is also a determined, ambitious, fierce protagonist who'd do anything to protect the ones she loves. Honestly, her journey from doing whatever everyone expected of her to doing whatever she pleased was the only thing that made the entire read worthwhile.

But I just can't help feel, these two characters who anyone would be lucky to have just didn't belong together, atleast in this plot. They had chemistry, yes and palpable tension but their romance was ALL over the place and I just didn't know what to feel and when to feel. Concludingly, the romance aspect was messy and chaotic.

While I'm fully aware grand romantic gestures are often the norm in rom-coms, the execution of the one portrayed here was, personally, not it. But I will agree the camera/attention hijacking was satisfactory to read, especially given the newscaster's connection to the story.
On that note, even the making up that typically ensues said gestures was done poorly.

Unrelated side note, the whole drama between Sadie and Devin was the pinnacle of miscommunication and could've easily been less complicated or avoided.

Admittedly, a florist is not a profession that often makes it to mainstream books and its representation is one aspect I admired.
