Cass wakes up from a coma with a memory of a boyfriend who never existed in her real life as confirmed by her family and friends. But things take a turn when she meets Devin, the guy from her dreams in real life and they start seeing each other almost immediately. Within no time, she finds out she has some pull towards Devin’s brother Perry more actually. I did not like this love triangle as I felt already invested in the Cass-Devin track and they seemed cute until midway until a party where we find out Devin is really a terrible person. How she comes out of this mess and chooses between the two brothers forms the major part of the book.

I have to say this one did not live up to my expectations as I absolutely enjoyed the author’s previous book. But I feel Brie and Marcus' story might be something I would have loved more and would be ready to jump at it. The best part according to me was all the details about the flowers and floral arrangements. I could literally see them in my mind while reading them. Also loved that Perry decided to take up his passion instead of going into family business as I feel the world definitely needs more creative folks.

I 100% do and this cover is beautiful and eye-catching. To me, a cover is the book's first impression and you want it to pull you in. Most of the time this works out in my favor while also setting the mood for the book.

But unlike its cover, 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐎𝐧 was a miss (for me - at least). What I thought I was going to read and what I read did not match. Everything felt rushed, over-the-top, and surface-level. The love triangle between brothers and Cass was unexpected and, honestly, lasted way too long, especially when one was an outright jerk and the other nearly perfect. It was a no-brainer who she should date. Yet, it continued and ended with clear resolutions to everyone's problems.

Fair warning though, a miscarriage and a fake pregnancy is part of a side storyline and was written in a way that I can not stomach. These topic should not be taken lightly and my heart went out to this woman.

This was a fun, sweet romance with an interesting premise. All the characters felt a bit one-dimensional however, and the pacing was a little uneven.

Angie Hockman's writing is a fantastic style. She makes the characters so relatable and lovable. The scenery was great. I loved the location of the flower shop. I would definitely suggest checking this one out if you are looking for a light summer read. Thank you NetGalley and publishers for an eARC of this book.

I liked this one more than shipped. It was very bingeable and easy to read. Team Perry all the way. I felt like there were certain plot lines that were unnecessary and I would’ve rather seen her friendship with Perry grow more. A certain part of the epilogue seemed forced and like a last ditch chance of giving us a little steam (and I love steam), it just felt a tad out of place and rushed to fit in.

Thank you for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

I was excited to read this one after seeing suck amazing reviews for Angie Hockman’s last book - Shipped. The premise of this book was so unique and interesting.

Cass Walker wakes up from coma caused by a car accident. She suddenly has memories of a boyfriend - Devin Bloom. But she has never met Devin. Cass can’t shake the feeling that she was in relationship even though she knows it didn’t actually happen. A year later she runs into Devin at a flower shop.

This book had some sweet interactions. And one of the characters is amazing.

Okay. Now for the downfall…

Everybody’s reactions were completely overblown. Nothing felt authentic about this book.

Spoiler time. You’ve been warned. I normally don’t post spoilers in my reviews but this book deserves being spoiled. 🤷🏼‍♀️ One of the characters is made out to be this cutthroat vicious person. When in reality her boyfriend leaves her stranded at the hospital during a miscarriage….but she wants him back…? Hard topics such as miscarriages need to be handled with grace and empathy. And this book was not that. It was thrown in as a punchline and I am not okay with that.

Dream On is such an interesting premise - Cass wakes up from a coma vividly remembering her boyfriend, Devin Bloom, but he doesn’t exist. She moves on to pursue her law career, leaving thoughts of her dreamed-up boyfriend behind… until she meets him in real life.

This was a very well-paced, short romance with instalove and a love triangle. I wanted to keep reading to see what caused Cass’s car accident and why she was dreaming of Devin, so I read this in a short period of time. Some scenes were a little overly dramatic, and I’m not sure how I felt about Devin/Sadie’s storyline - it didn’t sit entirely right with me. But I did love that Angie Hockman allowed the characters to go outside of the expectations others had of them to pursue what made them happy.

Dream On is Angie Hockman's sophomore novel and though it was completely different than her first book, I enjoyed it just as much. This was such a unique concept and took unexpected turns.

Cass Walker is a first year attorney who's had an interesting year. The day she passed her bar exam, she gets into a car accident and falls into a coma for a few days. She wakes up and the only thing on her mind is her boyfriend, Devin. And that would be all well and fine but Devin doesn't exist.

A year after the accident she is ready to start her career and then she sees him. In real life. Devin. Devin is real and he exists and he has absolutely no clue who she is. As I said earlier, this story took an unexpected direction and I was here for it. I was rooting for something to happen and it did.

I loved the characters in this book as well as the scenery. The flower shop itself had so much personality. Also, fun fact this book took place in Ohio which is always fun. I adored the prose and the book had me smiling and swooning. I recommend checking this one out if you're looking for a fantastic spring/summer read.

When Cass Walker graduated from law school, she never imagined that a car accident would change her life. She never imagined that one of the most important people in her life, her boyfriend, was only a figment of her imagination. At least that's what everyone told her after her accident. If only she could get him out of her head, life could go back to normal. At least that's what she tells herself until the day she meets him in real life. Everything is upside down, and everything she thought she knew goes with it. In this unique love story, author Angie Hockman draws readers in and hooks them until the last page with the pressing question, "what is real, and what isn't?"

Angie Hockman's writing style is fluid, easy to read, and a delight to sink into. I enjoyed Cass, Perry, Brie, Marcus, and Mercedes characters. The flower descriptions were delightful, and I liked that Devin wasn't made to be the villain.

That being said, Devin and Perry's father felt a bit 2 dimensional. The last three or four chapters of the book were over the top, and pulled me out of the story, resulting in meh feelings about the ending. The actual love story felt rushed, and, as a traumatic brain injury survivor myself and knowing many others within the community, I struggled with certain aspects of how Cass' injury, and recovery were handled and presented. The depiction of TBI, while not impossibly inaccurate, was definitely an idealized scenario of what recovery could look like in a rare and fortunate scenario.

A quick and cute story of Cass finding the man of her dreams. I absolutely could not put this book down. If you enjoy movies like ‘50 First Dates’ or ‘The Vow’ then you should definitely give this a read.

The book had some really good characters. I loved Cass and Brie. What do you do when you wake up from a coma looking for your boyfriend only to find out that's not your boyfriend? Do you fall for the non-bf or do you just go back to that "old thang"!? I really thought this book was cute.

Here's the description:
When law grad Cass Walker wakes up after surviving a car accident, she is flooded with memories of a man named Devin. The only problem? Devin—as confirmed by family, friends, and doctors—doesn’t exist. Everything about him, from his coffee-brown eyes to the slightly crooked angle of his pinkie to his high-wattage charm, is a figment of Cass’s coma-addled imagination. Still, she can’t get him out of her head.

Okay so I was a whore for Shipped and Dream On did not disappoint. I feel like the plot is straight out of a Wattpad fanfiction in the best way possible because at first, I was like wtf is happening but then I was crying, shaking, wishing it was me. The comedy, the banter, ugh just an overall good time.

I was lucky enough to score an ARC of the latest by Angie Hockman (Shipped). Dream On was a delight with While You Were Sleeping vibes, a swoony hero who owns a flower shop, & a heroine who woke up from a coma with memories of a boyfriend who never existed...or did he?

ANGIE!! What a whirlwind!! I got some While You Were Sleeping vibes, even though I totally know that's a whole different plot. This set up was so creative and had kept me curious to keep on flipping the pages.

When we meet Perry, I'm like ~whoa~ these two have something going on here. Insta connection. My heart deflated a bit, because I KNEW they were meant to be. And lo and behold, when it all fell in place with Devin and how the mixup even started, my heart started beating so fast and I was screaming: GO GET YO MAN!!! And sure enough, I got what I wanted (;

Dream On was so fun, and had me wishing it would just be all sunshiney out already (booooo the rain).

First off I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. It was so cute. All of the characters were loveable for the most part or not when they were not supposed to be. It ended up just the way I wanted it to. Cass was a great main character, Brie was the perfect best friend to have. Devin and Perry were great examples of how brothers are and the story all of these characters make together was awesome. Only one part made me roll my eyes and it was the last few pages. I didn't think the adult scene had to be thrown in there but whatever no big deal.

This was cute.
I enjoyed the writing style.
The characters were awesome although they could've been flushed out more. I'm hoping to see more from some of them in the future.

I was not a fan of the unnecessary drama. The work related parts got a bit boring and our mc was a little obsessive about this dream guy of hers it got a bit weird at times.

I ultimately liked the romance that did happen because it was very obvious what was going on from the beginning.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

I'm not going to lie, I read 75% of this book while on a 2.5 hour flight. So it's a quick read, but unique and fun!

As a NE Ohio native, I loved the book was set up in Cleveland and will always read any rom-com that is set in Ohio. The plot was easy to follow, characters even easier to keep track of (except a few in her law firm) and there were some fun surprises as well. The spice is practically non-existent but for good reason which you'll figure out once you start reading it. However, Angie does give the reader one final spicy scene in the epilogue. This book had me rooting for all of the characters as they grew and developed through the story.

I had not read Shipped yet so cannot compare to Angie Hockman's first book but look forward to reading it after how much I enjoyed this one!

Angie Hockman has done it again!! I love Shipped more than life itself and Dream On did not disappoint. A sweet romcom with a twist and some adorable book boyfriends

I’m really disappointed that I couldn’t get into this. After reading the description it sounded like such a wonderful book and something that would be right up my alley but I quite literally had to force myself to continue reading.

I felt that the plot was really predictable and almost as soon as she met Devin and Perry in real life I knew exactly what was going to happen at the end of the story. Despite this I thought that the buildup in their relationship was really sweet and that was one part I did enjoy. However I also had a serious case of second hand embarrassment while reading that just made it harder and harder to get through the book. And the way that he treated her and brushed off how she felt, especially about not wanting to drive after being in a car accident months earlier, just gave me the ick and I almost stopped reading then.

While I personally wouldn’t read this again I would recommend it to people looking for a cliche romance story especially if you like love triangles ( unfortunately I’m not a fan). Most of my issues with reading this are due to my own personal reading preferences and if I didn’t have those issues than I definitely would’ve enjoyed this a lot more.

2.5/5 stars
