Dream On. When you wake up from a coma and believe you have been dating someone for the last six months but no one close to you knows of this Devin you feel kind of crazy. Fast forward a year later and Cass meets Devin at his brother’s flower shop. They try to figure out how Cass knows so much about Devin but he doesn’t know her. Is it a mutual friend? Another conn? Is this match meant to be?

This was a cute stoty but was hard to get into but I think this would be a cute spring read if you need something light between other heavy books it’s worth checking out.

I thought the idea of this story was pretty interesting, that's what initially drew me in. It seems that the higher expectations you have for a book the more likely you are to be a bit disappointed in the end and well this was the case for me. It wasn't horrible but it also was not very memorable, I enjoyed it while I was reading it and that might be good enough, but I love finishing book and still find myself thinking about it a days later.

Cassie was likable enough, she seemed to be assertive enough in what she wanted that she wasn't a pushover which sometimes happens in books like these so that was nice. But I wasnt able to connect with her character, even after knowing about her accident and what not. The mural thing also seemed a bit impossible, im not an artist but is it possible to paint a huge mural in one night ? with no help ?

I think the main point of the story was the whole love triangle thing but even that was not very enjoyable. I think that they made it very obvious who she would end up with and that takes away the fun. Also I'm not a fan of that trope between brothers so i could be judging it a bit harder because of that.

It was a good way to transition between books, and I would probably recommend it to someone who was just starting with romance stories.

3.5/5 stars

Content Warnings: car accident, miscarriage, medical content and alcohol

This magical realism mixed with romance book was delightful. I enjoyed the characters and the mystery of the book. I kept waiting to find out how it all ended and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the ending. I read Shipped by Angie Hockman and I will continue to read whatever she writes.

What I loved:
-the unique premise of the book.
-the sweet romance aspects and the dates the characters went on
-NYC setting

What I didn't love:
-the characters seemed a bit immature and I didn't like how much Percy hated Cass at first
-some parts seemed to drag on and on

Unfortunately I had to DNF this book. In my opinion it was cringe worthy and hard to get through. Maybe it will be other people's cup of tea.

I really loved the main character in this story. Her journey to figure out her life and back on her feet after a traumatic experience was so endearing. The romance was realistic and fun.

The plot in this was unique. After waking from a coma, Cass is convinced she is engaged to a man named Devin. But did she dream him? When she finally meets Devin in person, it begins a romance that neither of them expect. A little far fetched? Yes. But it complete charmed me. I adored the characters and story!

I'll start by saying that I still need to read Angie's first book. Dream On was cute but it fell slightly flat for me. I was hoping for an open door romance and not closed door. The plot was unique in itself and not one that I've read or read anything similar to it before. I don't think love triangles are a fav theme of mine plus the story itself was more unrealistic. That's where I struggled with the storyline. I also was hoping for more with the epilogue. I still enjoyed the story overall and look forward to reading more by Angie in the future.

This is an original story with an enjoyable plot. Watching the character rebuild her life after an accident was unique and the love triangle was fun. I have been a fan of Angie Hockman's for some time and I continue to look forward to her next book.

AMAZING!

I loved this book. While I did guess some of the ending, it was done it a really good way and there were other surprises along the way.

If you love a classic Hallmark movie, you'll love this one!

I’ve been sitting on this review because I was honestly hoping that time would improve my feelings on this book but unfortunately it just didn’t… I LOVED Angie’s first book Shipped. This one didn’t have that same feel at all.

I thought the concept was super unique and had a lot of potential but turns into a weird love triangle thing where I’m inevitably rooting for Cass to end up with no one? There a moments I really liked. I loved the community activism piece of this story and what they create to help save the floral shop. But this just wasn’t my cup of tea unfortunately.

I found the premise of this book very original. and enjoyed the plot. Cass wakes up after an accident with memories of a relationship with a dream man but no one in her family or her friends recall her having a boyfriend prior to the accident. While she works on recovering from her physical and emotional injuries, she stubbles across a man who could be the one she sees in her memories as well as his doubting brother.

I really enjoyed watching Cass as she rebuilt her life following the accident. She tries to get her law career back on track as well as dealing with the aftermath of such a serious accident. She spends time discovering what she wants from life and questioning whether she's going after the right goals.

This is my first book by Angie Hockman and I'm definitely going to check out some of her others. Recommend!

I really liked Angie Hockman’s unique twist on the romance genre’s love triangle and how the situation wasn’t the typical HEA.

Hockman’s writing style is great but at limes I did wish the was more about the main characters. Overall, Dream on was not my favorite books Angie Hockman but I can’t for her next!

Dream On by Angie Hockman

So here’s the thing … I actually didn’t hate the story but there were just too many annoying and cringey aspects for me to enjoy it. I can’t say too much without spoilers but I’m going to do my best.

Likes:
-Cleveland setting, flower shop, home, office - all descriptive, felt like I was there!
-character development was pretty good
-smart & powerful FMC
-loved Marcus and David separately and for different reasons, just wish we’d seen more of both of them.

Dislikes:
-I found Cassie’s “rogue curl” reference multiple times to be very annoying. We get it, she’s got a short patch of hair that has to carefully maintained…
-the birds name, Xerxes, really annoyed me, I can’t explain why, it just did. He was introduced yet added little to the story.
-Perry’s dad and Bries Mom were both such a$$holes, it was almost too much!
-a few overly cheesy lines
-🚨still wondering how a mural gets painted overnight…
-🚨I really dislike pregnancy lies
-🚨I can’t decide if “boyfriends brother” is a trope but it made me cringe more than once

As I said, I didn’t hate it, didn’t love it, the beginning of it kept reminding me of Maybe In Another Life by TJR but I’m glad to have received this ARC. Thank you @netgalley

It was my first novel by the author and while it wasn’t my favorite, I would read other works by Angie Hockman.

I found this book to be very predictable. I called most of the “big twists” immediately. On top of that, I found the story to be largely uncomfortable. The only character I had any liking for was Perry. Some stories you read and wish you could hang out with the characters for a little while longer. This was the opposite. I found myself so eager to be away from these people and their problems. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC to review!

I LOVE Angie Hockman. Her stories always feel so fresh. I really enjoyed reading this and learning about the characters, and just getting submerged in this world. Overall, incredible story.

This was such an original concept - I really enjoyed this plot! Cass wakes up after an accident with memories of a relationship with a mystery man - except none of her friends or family recall her having a boyfriend. She's convinced she's going crazy, until she stumbles across Devin in a flower shop a year later and realizes he's the man she remembers. Despite the seemingly crazy circumstances, Devin decides to give her a chance. Meanwhile, Devin's brother Perry has his own reservations about their relationship.

I really enjoyed watching Cass as she rebuilt her life following the accident. Though this is a romance, equal time and attention is also paid to her efforts to succeed in her dream law career at a prestigious firm. She spends a lot of time in this book figuring out what she wants and questioning whether she's going after the right goals. Don't get me wrong - the romance is also swoon-worthy, but I always appreciate a fully realized heroine.

**spoilers ahead!**

The love triangle isn't usually a trope I enjoy, because too often it feels like there's a clear villain or bad option. Devin's not a bad guy, he's just not the right guy at the right time for Cass, and so the triangle didn't bother me as much... plus the sexual tension between Cass and Perry is off the charts.

I loved Angie Hockman's first book, and this follow up definitely lived up to my expectations. She's an author I'll be watching in the future, for sure!

Angie Hockman has me in a chokehold and I should have remembered that from her first book, Shipped! What a fascinating premise and characters. I struggle reading about love triangles (especially with brothers) but this treated the normal pitfalls of the trope perfectly. It was the perfect good vibes book, with unexpected heart of following your true dreams and not just what you "think" they should be.
