people this a one very underrated book this deserves all the hype. This book is literally so amazing the chemistry, the humor the smut is literally off charts. I'm so glad I came across this funny sweet and cute book and I requested it. I thoroughly enjoyed the book so much i would totally recommend this one .
the only thing that didn't set well with me was the timeline the book s so fast paced you feel like you are running past their lives. I also felt that the timing of the incidents happening in the book is literally fast forwarded thats why the impact of the emotionally loaded scenes was a little dampened.
Also the supporting characters weren't talked about much, i would have literally loved to hear more about liz, em and bell and their respective relationships with each other. but KUDOS to the author for creating mike hunt he is the star of the show. The book literally has it all, love at first sight, chemistry , smut. i loved this book.
This book is truly the whole package for any lover of a good romance novel! With charming characters, redemption arcs and plenty of steam this was one of my favourite reads of 2022 so far!
Everyone knows department stores are over right? No one shops in actual shops anymore, but wait, Chase Moore has just decided to take over the reins at his families historic New York department store because his older brother has walked out and his father is threatening to sell it off. This cannot stand. Chase must drag Moore’s kicking and screaming into the 21st century and to do so he needs Elvis obsessed marketing superstar Campbell King. This was fun, it didn’t mess about, Chase and Campbell have the hots for each other pretty straight off and there’s a bit of faffing about with personal demons but it doesn’t get too bogged down in that. That bald cat jokes did get tiresome. She really liked that joke and ran with it, she ran it into the hills. Some of the smut was a bit icky, I mean in a store cupboard with you’re employees standing right outside that’s surely a matter for Human Resources.
“It’s the kiss to end all kisses, and it would be sweet and momentous if it also wasn’t heartbreaking.”
This book totally delivers what it promises: a fun romance with just the right amount of spciness! And the cover... I love this kind of cover, it was what first caught my attention and made me request the book on NetGalley. This shows the importance that a cover has as a first impact with the reader. As soon as I started reading I was completely hooked by the author's writing that managed, in a second impact, to hold my attention completely.
A very short novel that unfolds at a good pace, there is a balance between the beginning, middle and end. The story itself is fairly predictable and doesn't have a mind-blowing plot but quite enjoyable to follow as it ends up being a light read. The characters are captivating despite not being developed as I expected, they are a little underdeveloped especially when compared to books of the same literary genre, lacking some details that I consider essential especially in terms of physical description. Some physical description of the characters also comes too far ahead in the narrative, that is, the physical description is only given after sometime of following the characters story, which may lead the reader to create an image of the character that later shows completely wrong.
In spite of everything, this is a worth reading, capable of making the reader let out a few good sighs and laughs! Quite a few laughs to be honest, I don't think I'll ever get over the name of the cat which I didn't understand at first (very much because English is not my first language) but as soon as I understood it, I burst out laughing. Every now and then it still comes to my mind and makes me want to laugh again ahahahah
This book turned out to be a pleasant surprise and a great weekend read!

Review to be soon published on my bookstagram account @direadsomebooks!
A hairless cat, laugh out loud wit and a splash of spice a night, lighter read.
.
There were a few things that felt a little forced or stretched reality a bit. For example, the mmc created an app where you sent in the unsolicited dick pics you received where they were rated and mocked. I guess revenge porn laws just don't apply in this story? I'm watching SVU while writing this review, funny enough. It's just not the vibe and irked me after reading it.

BLURB:
Self-made mogul Chase Moore is a charming hound dog with a hairless cat and a family business to save. He was fine being the spare to the heir of the family’s luxury department store empire until the billion-dollar business threatened to go belly-up. Now Chase will need more than his rakish good looks to fight his father for control.
Powerhouse marketing guru Campbell King is a hardheaded woman with a chip on her shoulder in the shape of the New York City skyline. After being chewed up and spit out by the city that never sleeps, Campbell returned to Texas and launched her own company. When her phone rings, and the sexy voice on the other end asks her to help save his swanky store in Manhattan, she seizes the chance to redeem herself.
When the sexy redhead from Texas with an Elvis obsession runs into her new boss, they both find themselves all shook up. And for the first time in her life, Campbell may need a little less conversation and a whole lot Moore action.
Ok yall...let me start by saying this one is SPICY. I don't recommend for the under 18 crowd. That being said, these two are fire together. I loved Chase as a person and Bell was a strong, independent woman yet putty in his arms. I loved the cheesy tropes and I loved how it ended as well. I highly recommend for fans of sweet, easy and spicy romances.

This is my first title by this author, and I wasn't sure what to expect based on the blurb, but I was curious.
The humor worked well in most areas of the story, but there were parts where I thought the focus on making the book funny made the development of the relationship between Chase and Campbell feel like a secondary focus. While this wasn't bad enough to completely pull me out of the story, it did make the connection I felt to the characters feel like it was a bit of a roller coaster and just when I was fully involved in their story, I was drawn back out of it.
That said, the hairless cat was pretty hilarious. And their connection, when it was the focus, was on them, was strong and enjoyable.
I did enjoy this title overall and recommend it.
A little moore action by Sarah L Hudson
Rating: 3.4/5 ⭐️
I really enjoyed the fun, upbeat writing Sarah Hudson achieved for this book. It instantly set the pace for a funny, workplace romcom.
The protagonists are both likeable and I loved the dual-POV (I mean who doesn’t?) Campbell is everything we need - strong, assertive and straight to the point. Chase is charming, smooth and both characters were not just words on paper. They had individual story-lines that made them them, which is something that tends to fall flat in romcoms.
Together they both had this amazing dynamic with lots of cute moments, spicy moments and Sarah Hudson really did well in all the inside jokes and sub-plots ( the Mike Hunt and Elvis was perfection).
I really appreciated Sarah L Hudson’s focus on the discrimination women face in the workplace and it was executed perfectly. The plot was good (especially with all the family drama) but towards the end everything seemed extremely rushed and unreasonable. The story seemed to jump from one scene to the next and some scenes (particularly steamy ones) fell flat for me.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs a quick, funny romcom.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and Sarah L Hudson for an eARC of this book!
Bell was okay. I don't think Chase actually opened up to Bell emotionally. All his family drama, presented itself circumstantially in front of her mostly.
It was an okay read for me. Nothing special but nothing bad either.
I’d like to thank the publishers for sending me an Arc through NetGalley!
From the very first line of this book you know exactly what you’re getting into, this book is unapologetically funny and sexy and overall a fun read. I had an absolute blast reading this but maybe reading this on my daily commute was a bad idea.
CHARACTERS
Bell
Bell is one of the better characters I’ve read in a while, she’s got a strong voice throughout the book with her love for Elvis, sassy attitude and a past without it being an overbearing part of her personality.
Chase
While Chase was more two dimensional than Bell for most of the book, he does get a little better towards the end. This is one of the books where I was crushing on the female MC more than the male in a straight romance and it was an absolute blast.
ROMANCE
I liked the romance, it was sexy and cute and while it is more insta love than I like it was really well done. There was actual chemistry between the characters and it was fun to read.
PLOT
While the falling for you boss/ client trope isn’t new and is in fact a very popular trope, this book made it enjoyable without making it cringy or weird. The ending was a fun and I liked the pussy (the hairless cat names Mike Hunt)
CONCLUSION
If you’re looking for a feel good fun romance novels with funny characters, impressionable side characters to finish in one sitting pick this up!
Real Rating: 3.5 / 5 Stars
When I’m reviewing books, I mostly review books from major publishers, but I still like to pick up the odd book here and there from independent authors when the blurb or cover piques my interest, because I truly believe supporting independent authors is something that benefits the entire reading community as a whole. Almost every author starts out as an independent author of some sort. Everyone has to earn their stripes somewhere, so to speak.
So, I’m going to lie: I picked up this random, independent romcom because of the following tidbits: charming hero owns hairless cat, luxury department store, New York City, and a female powerhouse marketing guru heroine sweeping in to save the day. We could almost just knock that down to the hero owns a hairless cat and there’s luxury shopping involved in New York City. I’m not even joking. I love books with luxury shopping. Especially shoes. (This book does involve shoe shopping, which makes me happy in my shopping pants).
Was it everything I was hoping for? In some ways, yes; in other ways, no. It was charming, irreverent, fun, sentimental, sexy, well-plotted, well-paced, and not too long. The flip side? The writing tended to be immature more often than not, the sentimental could tip into overly sentimental at times (causing it to come across as cheesy), and the ending was rushed.
As a whole, it’s an entertaining book worth a read. It will engage you and you will have a decent time reading it. Is it a must-read or a classic in the genre? No. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a try.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishers for sending me a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
A Little Moore Action is a laugh out loud romantic comedy that follows Chase Moore and Campbell "Bell" King. Let's start with the positives, I love that Campbell is from Houston, Texas. Then, there were so many puns and innuendos that I was in stitches and laughing out loud. I loved that Bell was either humming, singing, or quoting the king himself, Elvis Presley. Mike Hunt, the pussy cat, is an absolute legend. Campbell is a fiercely intelligent and creative woman in a male dominant field. I loved watching her come into her own and finally standing up for herself with that sleazy, manipulative former coworker. Lastly, I enjoyed watching karma unfold and justice be delivered to dear old dad, Stan.
Now for some things I didn't like. I don't like that in addition to the title it says "A Panty Melting Romantic Comedy" on the front of the book because while it was hilarious in parts the sexy scenes where lacking a bit of steam. Most of them just faded to black which is not what I was expecting from this book. I can't stand the lack of communication/miscommunication trope. Chase Moore thinks A LOT with his 🍆. Which causes some big problems at the end of the book for Chase and Bell and Chase and Thomas, his brother.
I am excited that there will be a second book focusing on Thomas and Alice. I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for that!
Book 1 in the 'Moore to Love' series, this was a light-hearted contemporary romance that was equal parts steamy and angsty.
When Chase, the bad egg of the Moore family, brings in savvy marketing consultant, Campbell King to upgrade the image of the family business, he wasn't expecting to fall for her. Having endured loss and betrayal early on, her work is all that matters to Campbell, but sexy Chase Moore is a temptation that threatens to complicate her life. Even with all their respective baggage and insecurities wearing them down, the sizzling chemistry between the two draws them together, despite their best intentions.
Of the two protagonists, Campbell is my favourite - I love a strong heroine, who stands her ground and gives a scathing comeback to misogynists and backstabbers - a feat I consider akin to a superpower. Chase, on the other hand, is your regular bad boy, who hides his pain behind his smirk and a nonchalant attitude.
Though not a fan of insta-love stories, this was quite an engaging read. The author has spun a refreshing take on the 'workplace romance' trope, with all the witty banter and wordplay, Chase's hairless cat, Mike Hunt, and Campbell's Elvis obsession. The weekend romance was sweet with some heavy action thrown in for good measure.
Overall, a charming rom-com generously sprinkled with double entendre and puns. Having had a sneak peek into Book 2 of the Moore series, I can hardly wait to read Thomas Moore and Alice's story. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a digital copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Rating: 2.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️💫
I was going back and forth between 2.5 and 3 stars for this one, but ultimately it was just too cringey for me. The storyline was entertaining - marketing guru (Bell) is run out of the city because of a scandal only to return years later to redeem herself by running a major campaign and simultaneously trying not to fall for her client (Chase). I know with romcoms you often have to suspend some reality, but everyone in this book was so unprofessional that it lost all realism. The side characters were the saving grace.
Chase is the typical playboy we often see and love in romcoms, but so much of his personality felt fabricated and too cocky for a likable main guy. He did eventually grow on me once the storyline with his family progressed and we started to see the real him, but I felt unconnected with him for too long to actually care about him. Bell was cool at first, but the biggest thing I couldn’t get over was all of the Elvis references. I’m all for music references in books, but Bell humming Elvis songs to go along with every plot point felt awkward and forced.
Their romance was another issue for me. It was entirely too insta-love for my liking. They didn’t know anything about each other, but the first time they saw each other they were ready to jeopardize their careers for each other. I didn’t find either of them particularly charming and outside of initial lust didn't understand why they were so drawn to each other so I didn’t connect with their love story.
What I did like though was Chase’s family storyline. His love for his found family, the people who worked at his family business who raised him and his sister when his father couldn’t be bothered was heartwarming. His family and the other side characters were all so lovable. Chase’s sister was a spitfire and I wish she was in the book more, but the scenes with her came to life in such a fun way. Even his straight-laced brother made me smile by the end of the book. Bell’s marketing team had a great dynamic and were all bright spots, especially Alice who blossomed as the book progressed.
I will say am intrigued by the next in the series which is going to focus on Alice and Chase’s brother, Thomas, so I’ll be keeping my eye out for that one. I do wish I enjoyed this book more, but if you’re looking for a quick bubblegum pop kind of read then give this one a try!
Thank you @netgalley and Sara L. Hudson for this book in exchange for an honest review!
“What happens when a New York City playboy, a Southern spitfire, and a hairless cat walk into a coffee shop? Burnt man-nipples, for starters.”
I loved this book! No, seriously, it was a very funny read and it made me disconnect from the bad days and make me smile again.
Chase is a charming, rich man who has always felt the hate his father, Stan exhumes. When his brother Thomas the “Golden Boy” passes up his opportunity to run their family owned business Chase jumps on the chance to finally prove to his father that he is worthy of respect and love, he deserves this chance to save the company.
Cambell King is a powerful, highly-respected businesswoman who built her marketing company from the ground up after being screwed over at her old job and fired.
When they meet to help save the family business Chase and Bell have an instant connection and attraction.
I liked Chase and Bell a lot, they are so cute! There is just the right amount of Spice and romance in the book and I really liked Sara Hudson's writing style, a very smooth but almost poetic style!
Thank you to NetGalley and Sarah Hudson for the opportunity they gave me to read this amazing and super cute book!!!
This was such a good, swoony book. Also, not to forget HOTTTTT 😍🔥
The chemistry between Chase and Bell was was so so adorable and hot and spicy 🔥
Both of them together were fireworks and the Cat, goshhh MIKE HUNT was cherry on top.
.
The writing was easy, the story was interesting and it had me giggling and blushing throughout. All the side characters, the banter, the romance was all just very very good.
Can't wait to read about Thomas and Alice and I'm definitely looking forward to more books by the author. Thank you so much @netgalley for the review copy
This was such a great romcom!
Chase and Bell had great chemistry and I found myself rooting for them through the whole book!
The pace of the story was great.
There were several moments that made me laugh out loud!
This author knows how to write a story that makes you laugh throughout! If you're looking for an escape, this is a great book to dive into!
I was happy to see that this book was dual POV since that is what I prefer in a book.
First off, any book set in New York city has my vote instantly.
This story had everything I look for in a rom-com; a strong independent female lead, a swoon worthy love interest, some laugh out loud moments, and a bit of steam to top it all off. I loved Chase and Bell's relationship, so much connection and development throughout the novel.
I'd highly recommend this book for lovers of rom-coms with steam, love and laughter.
This book was so funny! Chase is your gentleman in the streets, freak in the sheets hero, self-made billionaire. Bell is a southern badass, quirky heroine. The chemistry was outstanding. The non-romantic plots were fantastic too, excellent smack down scene.
My only complaint is that Chase is very well endowed....ridiculously well endowed...and the level of activities they do is unrealistic (and probably painful!).
I received a copy of this book via NetGalley for an unbiased review.
I have no words everytime I think I’ll be able to describe how much I love this book I can’t...
Chase is a charming, rich man who has always felt the hate his father, Stan exhumes. When his brother Thomas the “Golden Boy” passes up his opportunity to run their family owners business Chase jumps on the chance to finally prove to his father that he is worthy of respect and love, he deserves this chance to save the company from collapsing.
Cambell King is a powerful, highly-respected businesswoman who built her marketing company from the ground up after being screwed over at her old job and fired.
When they meet to help save the family business Chase and Bell have an instant connection and attraction. I absolutely adored how much they cared about each other and the development of every single character. I loved the amount of spice not too much but not too little. I always love the display of the deepening emotional connection more in the end!
I loved the poetic justice that was served at the end to Stan and Denise and I also enjoyed both the epilogues as they gave me as much closure on their relationship as I could have. I cannot wait to read about Thomas and Alice and who Thomas can develop into.
Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and Sarah Hudson for the opportunity to read this incredible book!!!
