This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was funny, cute and steamy. It held my interest and I wanted to find out what would happen next. I enjoyed this book and would read more books by this author.
2.5 Stars (rounded to 3 for the rating)
I wanted to like it so bad, as the synopsis sounded like something I'd really enjoy. This book just wasn't for me though. I started skipping pages once I got 2/3 of the way in and felt the ending was a bit abrupt.
The book surely holds some kind of record for the amount of time the word "pussy" was used, most times I've ever read it, that's for sure 😮😂
The characters of Campbell (Bell) and Chase were fine, they just felt a little shallow - not the characters themselves, but the level of their story, the connection I felt with them
All in all, I was expecting Moore (see what I did there...) and I didn't get it.
This was disappointing. I liked the idea of a Texan marketing phenom going to New York City to help a high-end store reverse its downward slide while falling for the hunky owner. Campbell is a confident woman who isn’t intimidated by any of the sexist and corrupt people she encounters. Chase is charming and has the financial insights to save his family business. It was everything else that was irritating. Chase and Campbell are so attracted to each other that they’re constantly having sexual thoughts about the other. We have to constantly read about Chase’s physical response to Campbell. A little bit of that is fine, but it just got repetitive. Throw in an evil father who, for totally unbelievable reasons, has alway hated his second son and a despicable former co-worker of Campbell’s who had earlier destroyed her career when she’d worked in New York City. It all became rather cartoonish.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.
If you enjoy a workplace romance alongside the hustle and bustle of New York City, then A Little Moore Action by Sara L. Hudson is for you. Ms. Hudson is a new author for me and I plan on reading many more of her book offerings. This is a well-written novel with characters that are easy to get to know and a hairless cat without any manners.
Campbell King can move any business into the red with her amazing marketing expertise. She has become quite a success story in her home state of Texas, in spite of a situation that ruined her career when she worked for a NYC marketing firm. Chase Moore comes from money, but his app is what made him a success. Now he has been tasked to bring his family's floundering luxury department store into the red and the 21st century. There is a lot at stake, which includes his sister's future and a new romance for both him and Bell.
I really liked this book. Ms. Hudson beautifully combines excitement, heat, and drama into this sexy read, and there was never a moment that I did not want Bell and Chase to be together. The secondary characters were quite entertaining, and Chase's dad was especially deplorable. If you enjoy a little Elvis along with your romance, then pick up a copy of this book. This is the first book from the author's brand new series, A Little Moore Action, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

BOOK REVIEW: A Little Moore Action
Before I start the review, I want to say a big thank you to @netgalley and @sara_l_hudson for the ARC!
Summary:
A Little Moore Action, written by Sarah L Hudson, follows the lives of self-made billionaire Chase Moore and the highly intelligent marketing guru, Campbell (Bell) King. When Chase’s family company is in danger, he reaches out to Bell in hopes to turn things around, while proving his worth and capability to his seemingly unsatisfiable father. But, when work and pleasure inevitably become entwined, more than just the company’s fate is put on the line for both Chase and Bell.
Review:
I read this book immediately after finishing Where the Crawdad’s Sing, and it proved to be the perfect, upbeat read after tackling such a heavy story!
I think what I loved most about A Little Moore Action were the characters! Chase Moore gave me Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool vibes, and actually had me laughing out loud at some points, which is quite impressive. Who doesn’t love a man with a great sense of humor and golden retriever energy?! And Bell…what a badass! I adore the way Hudson portrays hard-working, ambitious women through Bell. She is kind and caring but displays a side of take-no-crap sass that had me rooting for her from start to finish! I don’t often absolutely love the female main characters in romcoms, but Bell is the exception for me!
I also really enjoyed the entire plot of the book. We all love some good smut, but what’s even better is smut with an actual storyline, and Hudson definitely delivers on that one! It was fun to not only root for Chase and Bell’s relationship, but for their success in trying to save the company. The plot was well-crafted/thought out, and was different from other rom coms I’ve read before, which I really appreciated.
I can honestly say that I truly enjoyed this book from start to finish. If you’re in the mood to laugh, smile until your cheeks hurt, and fall in love with heart-warming main characters, A Little Moore Action is DEFINITELY for you!
Also, tomorrow is PUB DAY for this book, so if you’re as excited about this as I am, make sure to read it ASAP!
Rating: 4/5⭐️
There was so much to love about this book; a wealthy playboy with a heart of gold, a fiery, whipsmart heroine, flirty banter, steamy romance, and loveable side characters. A Little Moore Action ticks all the boxes, and I SO wanted to love it - but unfortunately it fell just that little bit short for me.
Let's start with the good - and again, there was so much about this book that was great! I thought the Moore family was fascinating and their dynamic was really well developed, which provided a strong backbone for the main plot. Most notably, comedic writing and steamy scenes can both be so difficult to get right, and Sara L Hudson has a talent for both.
Having said that, my main issue was that both the humour and the sexual innuendo went so far over the top that it was hard to stay connected to the actual story after the tenth pun about Mike Hunt, Chase's "hairless pussy". Both main characters seemed to find double entendre in the most innocent of phrases and situations, and Chase spends so much of the book erect that I was borderline concerned for his health.
I get that they're attracted to each other, and the attraction isn't forced so much - they do have chemistry - but it just feels a little shoved down your throat, and makes their connection much more about lust than love, which didn't feel right for a rom com.
A very satisfying conclusion, along with the Moore family and Hudson's generally engaging writing style, redeemed the book for me and overall I am glad I read it. Even though it wasn't totally to my tastes, I'm sure that A Little Moore Action will be a hit for plenty of other readers!
A Little Moore Action is described as a panty-melting romantic comedy on its cover. That should have warned me that the story is spicier than I prefer. However the big turn-off for me was the amount of foul language that appears in the story.
Chase Moore is a wealthy 35-year-old bachelor who lives with his hairless cat named Mike Hunt. His family owns a large luxury department store in New York City, and his father treats him with contempt. His older brother, Thomas, is the heir apparent. His younger sister, Liz, is nice and is also ignored. Their mother is an alcoholic and allows her husband to control the family and business.
Chase is independently wealthy due to creating a popular app but is not trusting after being betrayed by his girlfriend and former business partner. When his father announces that he is going to sell the store due to declining profits, Chase offers to try to save the store. He is given six months to turn it around.
Chase contacts a marketing whiz from Texas, Campbell “Bell” King to help him. Bell and Chase are instantly attracted to each other but have an awkward first meeting when hot coffee is spilled all over both of their shirts.
Lots of hijinks abound as Bell and Chase work to save the store.
A Little Moore Action would be better if the racier elements were removed, in my opinion. It would definitely be enjoyed by a wider audience.
Thank you for the opportunity to review the ARC.

3.5/5 🔥
A panty melting romantic comedy is right. I should have known based on “burnt man nipples” being part of the description that this book was going to be equal parts fun and steamy. And it had both in spades!
Right off the bat, Bell and Chase’s chemistry leapt off the page. Despite Bell trying to deny her feelings in order to keep a professional working relationship, their banter was amazing and definitely a highlight in the story!
I was so excited when I realized that this was going to be a series about the Moore siblings, and I can’t wait to read Thomas and Alice’s story next. 😍
This book is on par with Meghan Quinn’s in terms of steam and comedy!
If Mike Hunt (it's better if you yell it out loud) doesn't keep you giggling then you may have to turn away ...but don't turn away! You'll miss all the fun! I'm giving this one 3 peppers for the spice-meter for sure. I am always iffy about multiple perspective books but this one did well with the alternating. You don't get all discombobulated. A definite 3.5 stars book!
Say this out loud with me: Mike Hunt
Say it a little faster..
Keep saying it until you get it.
Got it?
Yeah, that is Dean’s hairless cats name. I read this entire book- and quite literally at the end did I realize why Mike Hunt is named Mike Hunt.
Anyways- I LOVED THIS BOOK! I literally was laughing out loud throughout this entire book. It was such a fun, quick, cute, spicy read. There’s something about a workplace romance trope that I just LOVE. This book hasn’t even been released yet and I am already thinking of the second book in the series. Sara Hudson, you’re on my list of must read authors. I really loved the way Sara Hudson writes. This was so easy and fun to read and I keep raving about it to my friends and they're all so excited to read this.
In A Little Moore Action we meet Chase Moore, the hairless cat owning playboy, and Campbell King, the Elvis loving, Texas marketing genius. And of course we meet Mike Hunt, the Sphinx attack who loves attacking Chase Moore.
Though this is meant to be a romcom, I felt there was far more comedic parts than romance. The comedic parts were fairly well written though and found myself laughing out loud. Though I did find the amount of "hairless pussy" jokes got old real quick and wish there were less. Felt very repetitive and added nothing to the book.
The connection between the characters, felt more like lust than love and caused me to not really connect to them. I ended up loving all the side characters much more, which does make me very excited for the next book by this author involving these characters. *lips sealed, you have to read the book to find out who*
The spice level in this book is mild to moderate, with scenes being quickly glossed over to get back to the plot. Personally I love more plot and found this great, but if you're looking for something spicier, keep looking.
Overall, I just wanted a little more character connection from this book but enjoyed the world that was created and will be first in line grabbing book two!
I am legit adding book to chart..loved, loved, loved. I loved the how funny both Chase and Belle was. That the store is a family affair with many at odds for reasons to be discovered. I enjoyed Belle no non-sense personality. She's been through a lot and she's managed to make it on top. The sex is super spicy... Loved
And I am especially excited to read the rest in this series.. I'll be looking out for it. Amazing
I wish I loved this book, I really do. Everything was right there but the cringey, overused puns made me physically cringe alongside a couple of plot issues I couldn't forget were the reasons I didn't fall in love with Chase and Bell the way I wanted to. It felt a little forced in places, especially the Elvis references and Bell's humming? It felt incessant at points and so did the hairless pussy jokes.
Chase and Bell are wonderful characters, but unfortunately this one just wasn't for me.
I received an ARC copy of this book via Netgally in exchange for an honest review.
A Little Moore Action was a steamy book! I loved Chase and Campbell (Bell). Their chemistry was instant and they were such a great pair! I loved the story line that Chase was the "less than" child out of the 3 Moore kids. I loathed Stan and tolerated Thomas and Em. I adored Liz, I really enjoyed reading this book and even stay up half the night to finish it. The spilled coffee scene, to the steamy closet scene, to all the humming of Elvis tunes this book hit the marks! It had humor, steamy scenes, romance, and more. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I would have like to have an follow up on Liz in the ending/ epilogue. Can't wait to read more from Sara Hudson.
Thank you Sara L. Hudson and NetGalley for sharing this book with me in return for a fair and honest review!

Thanks to Sara L Hudson for give me this great book in exchange for my honest opinion
The story of Chase and Campbell. He has just taken over his family's business and needs her help to get the business to thrive again. His family secrets threaten everything, so do they have a chance at being together.
I like how it is told from both of their points of view, and the characters are great.
Can't wait for the next book in this series!
A Little Moore Action was everything and more than I was expecting. It was just the right amount of romance, humor and spice that I was looking for. This is the first book I’ve read by Sara Hudson and I am in LOVE with her writing style. I loved Bell and Chase’s relationship and I loved Mike Hunt. All the sweaters he was bought, and the love Bell had for him. I could NOT stop laughing while reading this book, from the burnt nips to Mike Hunt to the banter that Bell and Chase had.
I read this book in one sitting, and I regret nothing. It was so fun and easy and had me in love with the characters from the first chapter. It’s a dual POV book, which I love, and gives you just the right amount of Chase and Bell’s thoughts. I loved being able to see into their brains, especially when they were admitting their feelings. Thank you Netgally and Sara for this ARC! I cannot wait to read about Thomas and Alice next!!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I. LOVED. THIS. STORY.
Honestly, this book had me laughing so much! Chase Moore and his cat took the cake for sure.
Chase Moore, app creator and the son of a wealthy family who owns a huge luxury department store in NYC, has always been the black sheep to his family. Campbell King is a hard working, Texas marketing genius, with her own company. Both of them together? Fireworks.
With Chase suddenly thrust upon being in charge of the family business and Bell being in charge of upping said business' commercial game, the two of them soon realize that together, they're dynamite. (Yes, I said it)
I enjoyed every minute of this book. Please don't miss out on this steamy and funny romance!
This was a great romcom read! It was funny, spicy and had moments that gave you all the feels! It was a 4.5/5 star read and a 4/5 on the spice level.
Sara has a talent for writing funny, quirky characters that make her books so fun to read. Bell is our sassy, take no man crap (or b*tchy woman crap), Elvis loving heroine while Chase is funny, easy going, blessed with the voice of a phone sex operator and has the best c*ck blocking cat you will ever meet.
Bell and Chase have strong chemistry from day one (the burning of man nipples) and can’t resist each other (especially in elevators!). As Bell and Chase work together to save his family business they also have to fight for one another (swoon).
The cat Mike- had us laughing even after we finished the book.
If you haven't read this book, you should! Just don't start it before bed or you will stay up way too late needing to know what happens next.
Thank you Sara Hudson for the ARC of this book and to Netgalley. I can't wait to read about Thomas next!
Review
A Little Moore Action by @Sara L Hudson
4💦💦💦💦 (aka Stars)
🌶 Spice Value - mild/moderate
After reading such a heavy book I needed something lighter and this was just what the doctor ordered.
The book was based on Chase and Bell, playboy billionaire falls in love with his social media marketing manager..
I laughed til tears rolled down my face, the puns and innuendos throughout the book was first class comedy. I read the book in 2 sittings.
It is such an easy read and flows nicely from Chase to Bell and back again.
A perfect book for a quick read.
Chase is a typical playboy who thinks about his 🍆 ALOT so if you easily offended this wouldn't be the book for you but I found him funny as.. and I think Bell was just as bad as him 🤣
There is so so many moments I'd love to talk about but it would be spoilers so just go get the book!
I have read many spice/smut in books - this was mild to moderate in sections, it did flow quickly over the sexual scenes... and back into the story line again 🤣😳
I loved the story based on the store, family, love that was behind the smut.. I loved the love Chase and Thomas had for their sister
Sorry but there dad was a first class w*nker.
Mike Hunt is a legend and I hope he very much appears in book 2 🤣🤣 - you need to read it to find out more!
Thankyou to Netgalley for the ARC.
Awaits book 2
Oh ps... the prize winning hoover.... I was in kinks laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Will definitely look out for more books by this author.
