The Bonny Swan is a story based not on a fairy tale, but on a traditional song and is the latest installment in the Tales Retold series written by Pamela Sherwood.
It tells the story of a young woman who is saved from drowning by the miller's family, who "adopt" her despite not knowing who she is, since the girl has lost her memory because of her accident.
The only clues to her identity are the clothes she wore, which due to their wealth suggest that she is at least the daughter of a rich merchant.
It is a very beautiful story and it is very beautifully written. Clean, so it can be read by readers of any age and with a very satisfying ending. So if you're looking for a good story, The Bonny Swan is perfec for you.
I thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
The opinion I have expressed above is based solely on what I think and feel about this book.
This was a very beautiful fairytale retelling! The story is very fast-paced but filled with vivid imagery! The characters were all well-developed! I recommend this for fans if K. M. Shea, Chantal Gadoury, and Demelza Carlton!
