I enjoyed this story and thought the characters were witty & fun. This is the only book I have read by this author and I will be looking for more in the future!

Tried to get into this one but the characters are not interesting and the plot itself convoluted. The erotica forces and without passion or rhythm. Sorry but this one did not work for me at all.

This is a great installment by Pauls, a slow-burn romance coupled with a good dose of suspense.

With a brief detour to South Africa, the story takes place in France. It concerns childhood friends Clelia D’Ambois and Josselin de Arradon who grew up together in the same Brittany community. Now grown, Clelia lives with her grandfather working on the mainland and tending to her animals, until a spate of fires in the surrounding community brings the spotlight down on her. As Joss now works for a clandestine group sworn to protect mankind from forbidden arts, the recent fires point to the emergence of a new fire-starter threat, and it's Joss's duty to eliminate it.

Cle's softer feelings towards Joss are definitely put to the test when she is kidnapped and used as bait in the whole scheme. And once Joss realizes he wants Clelia, he'll stop at nothing.

The chemistry here is SIZZLING right away. Like, you can feel how bad the characters want each other, making it an AWESOME slow burn. And when they finally get together, the steamy scenes are HOT. If only for the core romance, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This book has some paranormal elements but a very contemporary vibe. Even if you're not a huge paranormal fan, you'll still like it.

Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding paranormal romance. When Clelia starts sleepwalking and fires start happening in her village, she assumes she is the firestarter and wants to turn herself in. Her adopted grandfather talks her out of it, says she is not the firestarter, and talks her into running away, and they both go on the run separately. Josselin, who is on a secret mission to find and kill the firestarter kidnaps Clelia to use her as bait. As Clelia and Josselin spend time together, both of them have difficulty controlling their feelings and attractions for each other, but if Clelia is the firestarter, Josselin or someone on his team will have to put an end to Clelia's life. Read the highly recommended, full of action and suspense, riveting story engaging the reader from the first page of the story until the last page of the story, and a must read love story.
