This was such a sweet but sad love story. Ella and Daniel have a great life together and are about to get engaged when Ella receives the news she has cancer. This shocks them both but they decide to still get married and to go on with their life together. Some parts made me tear up, but I can't say what they are without giving away key points in the book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy.
Daniel and Ella have been in love for what seems like forever. They had been friends as children and had always been together. When Daniel proposes, Ella has some devastating news to share, too. Will their love survive the trials and challenges they will face?
The storyline of this book was sweet, though it felt clunky and chopped up. There was also a smattering of foul language peppering the book, which I am not a fan of. The sex scenes were behind closed doors without the graphic details.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Ella and Daniel. They have known each other all their lives. Ella is an event planner and Daniel is a quarterback. They are in love. Ella is diagnosed with leukemia. She undergoes chemotherapy. She goes into remission. They decided to get married. But they have some problems. Together they work them out.
With Love Ella is a sad story covering a series topic. It’s about falling in love and discovering everything isn’t perfect. It’s also about finding the strength to carry on through adversity.
Ella and Daniel's love story is happy until bad things happen which are beyond their control. It shows how heroic people can be when tragedy strikes. It is a realistic look of what struggles people go through when they discover they have cancer.
I have to admit, I love happy books, so this one was a little bit too realistic and depressing for me. I liked the two main characters Daniel and Ella but unfortunately, I thought the dialogue felt flat and unconvincing. I don’t want to give the plot away and say too much. While I did like the two main characters, It wasn’t the story I was hoping for. If you like heros that never give up when tragedy strikes the one they love, you will enjoy this story.
