Love the art style was definitely something that drew me to the story at first. Cute Ichikei. With a fun twist. Definitely a genre with a lot of competition. Wish I had read volume 1 first.
LOOK AT THE COVER AND THE ARTSTYLE!! I was pretty much in love.
It follows up from the first volume and the buildup with our two main characters. Isekai mangas centring vilainness always gets me and I can't wait to continue this one.

Im a sucker for isekai manga. I know the villaines trope is kinda overdone in the manhwa circle but im still hooked! I like our MC, she is strong headed and will do anything to save herself. The lineup of the characters are interesting so I like that. The plot thickens so Im curious whats gonna happen next
for the Isekai genre, this is great i had so much fun reading this as in volume 1! the illustrations are gorgeous and i love how this plays with reverse harem and just everything is so fun definitely a great time
The second volume of this series was excellent. Before starting this manga, it is highly recommended that you read the first volume. The first volume provides a lot of background information. Beginning here will be confusing. This manga was a refreshing take on the Isekai genre with its loveable characters and interesting storyline.
Thank you so much to the author, TokyoPop, and NetGalley for the complimentary ARC!
This review contains my honest and unbiased thoughts and opinions. 🌸
I'm a bit torn on this one... I enjoyed Volume 1 and couldn't wait to see what happened next but I struggled a little with Volume 2.
What I liked:
I really enjoyed getting more background details on a few of the guys. We discovered more about Eric and what happened that eventually led to Eri. Plus we got a little of the story from his point of view, from meeting Mystia and how her kindness helped him.
We also were taken back to a small piece from Volume 1 where Mystia helped a boy in need. We now know more of his identity and how he fits into the story.
I enjoy having backstories, have more understanding and knowing how everything fits together.
And finally, the past is caught up and the story truly begins at school, "present" day and where things really start. I do feel like the story started picking up at this point and even with all the struggles, by the end I was ready for Volume 3 to see how things continued.
What I didn't like/Struggled with:
I had the hardest time actually getting into the story/staying focused on the story. At times, I don't know, it seemed overwhelming? A bit too much going on, too much to try and keep straightened out, too much to remember/figure out/keep in place.
Again, I think now that the story is "present" day, things will truly begin and will improve. I enjoyed the story by the end of the volume and look forward to the next.
Mystia is a high school student living in a world of wealth and privilege, complete with a charmingly perfect fiance, lots of domestic staff, and of course a set of admirers who all think they will end up as her partner. The catch is that she's a character in a sim game and the more she tries to ensure the expected outcome, the more she throws the storyline off course. Beautiful artwork! I need to catch up with volume 1, but am looking forward to additional editions.
4.7/5
🌱THE EXCELLENT
~ Malicious desire (I adore desire)
~ Hot DELUSIONAL lusty men 💀
~ Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, unknown to lovers, HOT PEOPLE EVERYWHERE
~ Interesting storyline (female isekai but not an adventure game per se)
This is vol 2, so I don’t know her real name, BUT let’s call her ‘Brie’ 😏🤭, Brie reincarnates in a game in typical isekai fashion. She knows this game well and realizes that she is now the villainess of it all - but while the villain could watch on as terrible things happened to the characters - Brie cannot, and so becomes a bug in the system, effectively messing up the storyline. While she is clever, resourceful and kind, she does not behave like the true Mystia of the game and so, ALL of the hot ‘menses’ start falling for her. BUT she MUST do her best, because, you see, the original Mystia is sentenced to death and while Brie wants the characters to follow their determined path, she most desperately does not want to end up dead.
(In vol 2 she meets some of the love interests (who are not supposed to be hers) and becomes a darling of her servants… what else could possibly go wrong?! 😈)
✨Give it a read.
🌱THE MEH
~ 🥲 I haven’t read the first volume and don’t have the next volumes
~ 🥲 I am not Mystia
~ 🥲 I have no harem of hotties
~ 😭 This manga has reminded me that my life suckksssss 💀
♡🌱 But that’s just me ;)
Volume 1 and then this volume have a lot of set-up, as Mystia finds herself reincarnated as the villainess in an otome game she's played before. Not willing to meet her "character's" original (gruesome) ending, Mystia sets about changing her narrative - but still trying to be careful to disrupt the main game narrative as little as possible. She just wants to give herself a chance at a better ending!
For the majority of this volume we once again follow Mystia at age 10, meeting folks who will be future potential love interests for the game protagonist. In the back half of this second volume, we finally return to where we started volume 1 - opening ceremony and the beginning of the first year of high school! It's so interesting to see how the various wheels and cogs that Mystia has set in motion at age 10 (whether intentionally or unintentionally!) start moving now that high school - and the game - start in earnest. I can't wait for volume 3!
Isekai is a trend these days and this book did a great job following the trend with a great story line!
Artstyle is on point as well as the story line and the tension builds like WOW
In the first volume, Mystia meets two of Kyun Kyun Love's suitors, Raid and Eric. In this sequel, we get to see how she meets Jesse, the teacher. For the fourth guy, Robert, it is more of pleasantries. The nicknames in the first volume are still not crystal clear to me. The sparkling prince. The cool tsundere. The gaudy guy. The yakuza teacher. I managed to get the first two mixed up while the other two have yet to unfold their said attributes. The competitiveness between Eric and Raid is cute coupled with Mystia's helplessness over the two. But out of the three love interests so far, Jesse's story seems to have a bug or two. There are minor details that didn't make sense to me.
The first volume is included in the Top 10 Favorite Reverse Harem for 2021 but my interest waned a tiny bit when it became the usual otome game isekai shenanigans. But then the kicker for all the four suitors in the bonus chapter blew me away. There is like a soundtrack playing in my head. You know the fast-paced haunting scoring when there's a twist in the finale of an anime. Yeah, that one. This is my favorite part of the story and gives fresh new meaning to her reverse harem and the story. I'm excited about the new direction it might be going.
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced readers copy of this manga!
I do love a good Isekai story.
The artwork in this manga is wonderful and enjoyable to look at.
Each "reverse harem" character is fleshed out more and more with each volume and I am sure that there are more romance prospects to come! Looking forward to it!
If I could ask for one thing (which is more of a commentary on manga than on this particular story) It's been almost a year since the last volume came out and it took me a bit to remember what the story was about and who the characters were-- so a recap to begin the volume would have been convenient. Like a quick summary (less than a page) of the first volume.
Just like the first volume, I love the artwork and storyline. While typical in a sense I still love the story as it has progressed so far and am looking forward to seeing what comes next.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to review this book.
.
This is another fun volume of this manga series that I'd honestly want to read until the end. I just did had a little issue with the other pairing among all pairings and of couse the whole misunderstanding that is both really funny and off for me
I really enjoyed the second installation in this series!!! It was funny, adorable, and a bit over the top, which is everything I love in a romance manga!! Seriously, this was so cute and I just love how everyone loves Mystia even though she’s supposed to be this great villainess. It’s absolutely hysterical!!
Hey might be my favorite because he infers her affections for him from just a look. It just cracks me up! But every character is literally obsessed with her for whatever reason. This makes for some interesting run-ins between those who love her. Which throws in some fun drama of course!
The whole plot is basically Mystia trying to avoid her demise as villainess and to get the two leads to fall in love. His being in love with her puts a wrench in her plans, but makes it more interesting for us! Everything she does just gets glossed over by these would be suitors, which is hilarious considering she doesn’t seem to love any of them and is only aware of the affections of a couple of the many in love with her. Like I said, hilarious!!
I highly recommend this series to those who enjoy atypical romance manga that has a bit of an unconventional approach. Very interesting and super funny!!
Thanks so much to NetGalley, Tokyopop, A T A K A, Sou Inaida, and Hachipisu Wan for the opportunity to read this for my honest and unbiased opinion. It was a joy!!
Ahh the tension builds!! I'm a huge fan of the isekai villainess stories. The main character is the right blend of not being too dumb but also not too obnoxious. The ending hook left me with chills about the next book.
I read the first volume of this manga and like it enough to continue with the story. The second volume is just as gorgeously illustrated as the first one which makes it enjoyable to view. This volume introduces us to more characters that fall in love with Mystia. The story also moves on to the present time where the game starts and it became a lot interesting with how many events are happening differently due to how differently she acted as a child in the game world. I really like Mystia and her level-headedness. I find the men in love with her in this manga amusing but I'm not invested in any of them. I especially don't like how the adult character is acting. I feel just as tired as our FMC with the way the people around her are behaving. But I really like the bonus chapter at the end of the volume, I think it's cute and amusing.
Thank you NetGalley and Tokyopop for the advance e-ARC!
Review to come March 23rd to blog/goodreads/etc..
I received this book from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.
So I was absolutely squeeing in delight when I spotted this one up on Netgalley. I had to have it! I absolutely loved the first volume when I read it in April last year, so I wanted to see how it continued in this second volume~
We dive head-first in the Eric/Eri part, and I had so much fun reading it. Loved that we first saw things through Mystia, who btw was very confused as things weren't going as she had thought they should have gone. Eric was different. Another love interest should have popped in that should have been cause for why things went so horribly wrong. I did feel for Mystia because of course she is relying on things to be predictable so she can get out of the death flags, but I also had a laugh because of her face and her confusion. Like wait, what? XD And then we saw things through Eri/Eric's eyes and I was just delighted as it gave more clarity to the situation and why Eric is so infatuated with her.
The next we get a new character, someone named Mr. Jessie! I was instantly curious, especially given Mystia's descriptions of him and what his route entailed. I could see why she was so hesitant. Either way, I was pretty happy with a new hot character. Especially as the story continued and we saw more of him... he was just so cute when he blushed and laughed. I also love that, just like with Eric before him, we get to see how he met Mystia and how things changed. I am not too sure how I felt about him falling in love with her. Not at this moment at least. She is still a kid, and he is an adult.. Ehl....
I had a laugh when Nocter and Eric met up. Oh my! battle time between two guys who dearly and desperately want Mystia. XD I had quite a laugh as the cold atmosphere between the guys just seeped out of the pages. Poor Mystia, stuck between those two.
Ah, and at the end we finally skip ahead a few years to Mystia grown up and starting school! Eep! I absolutely loved those chapters and I loved it especially because all the guys are now grown-up. I barely recognised Nocter for a moment there. Whereas most characters grew into their skin and just got a bit more adult, he just changed completely for me. I loved reading about the school, about the scenarios that may be coming, and then there was something at the end. Now I definitely want that next volume!
I feel for Mystia at times~ I mean, it must be hard to be reincarnated in a game and find out you are destined to be a villain. She is trying her best to solve the routes and get out of the death ones, the ones with prison, and all the others. But we see that things are altering as she does little things. Showing kindness to Eric. Being helpful to Jessie. Cooking for Nocter. They are little things, but they are changing the game and that means that Mystia is very worried. Because how is she supposed to know if her route is the right one? I just wanted to give her a big hug. Tell her to enjoy the moments a bit more and less worry. I get that if she does something wrong it is a big thing, but constantly worrying is also not healthy.
The bonus chapter in which we meet the head butler... and get some vague answers on what is going on with the servants. I am even more curious now about things. And I am also swooning because the butler is YUM! Sorry, but I just can't resist a guy with glasses. XD
Sorry for the slightly chaotic review, I am just excited and this book was just too good! I had so much fun reading and I loved seeing the characters, read about the game, see Mystia make sense of it all. And on top of that fantastic art!
I would recommend this series so far~
4/5 stars
I received an ARC of this manga, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Mystia Aren is the daughter of a noble family. However, she still has memories of her past life. In her old life, there was an otome video game which happens to be the new world Mystia has found herself in. To make matters worse, she is now the villainess in the game! Mystia is determined not to die like the villainess in the game did, but she is afraid of messing up the overall plot of the game. As she tries to keep the game on track, she realizes she has a big problem--the love interests keep falling for her anyway!
While this volume was enjoyable, I thought it was not quite as good as the first one. I love this trope and I enjoy watching Mystia as she tries to follow the game's plot, but I had a few issues with this volume.
We get to meet the rest of the love interests in this volume, and we learn some of their backstories. It truly is similar to the layout of most otome games! I was also glad to see that we are finally caught back up to present day, so I'm expecting the story to take off from here!
This series is unique even though the trope is very common! Mystia doesn't want to be the villain, but she's trying to make sure the heroine remains the main character. As a result, Mystia tries hard to deter the male love interests who seem determined to get close to her. The storylines continue to shift and change, and Mystia isn't sure what she can and can't do. Events are happening that aren't in the game, and major events are being altered. She's concerned not only for herself, but that she'll ruin the happy endings of the love interests.
I had three main issues with this volume. The first is that a lot of the characters came off stalkerish and/or obsessive. One of them becomes infatuated with Mystia when she's 10 when he himself is 15, and that made me uncomfortable. My second issue was that this volume felt a bit like filler as it introduced the characters and their backstories. While I enjoyed meeting them, I couldn't help but hope we got back to present day soon. Finally, I have no idea what kind of world/time period this takes place in! There are noble families, arranged marriages, horses and carriages, etc., but there are also toilets, school lockers, and sinks. It's like the regency era merged with modern-day schools in Japan.
Outside of that, I truly did enjoy this volume! There were some things that happened here that have yet to be explained and I am super curious about their role in Mystia's fate. Now that we're back to present day, I can't wait to see how the story will turn out!
I recommend this to fans of the "reincarnated in an otome game" trope as well as fans of the reverse harem genre!
Mystia wakes up to be in otome game but she’s the villainess instead of heroine! Mystia is determined to change her fate. But will she be able to?
I found the story of it to be really interesting and unique. I was super into mystia trying to change her fate as villain and the kindness she has. I honestly just loved her character. I did enjoy the manga as while I found to it to be super cute and I am excited for vol 3! The only critique I have is that I don’t love how the characters are drawn to look really young though.
Overall I really lik
