I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I had not realized this was a sequel, but it did such a good job summing up the prior manga I didn't feel lost at all. The story was incredibly sweet. It follows childhood friends and their struggle with deciding their future and what that might mean. I really enjoyed the characters and how smoothly the story flowed even with the time jumps. I definitely recommend.

I believed that this is duology but I haven't read the first volume (and I would love to read it) but it didn't give me confusion since it has a short preview of volume 1 which I think is about how they get into a relationship? So this volume is about Rui and Yuujiriou, in their third year of high school deciding what to do with their future after graduation. Yuujiriou is looking forward that they will get into college together, deciding to live with Rui in a small apartment and all but Rui's plan is different from what Yuujiriou's and that is I will let you guys know what happened next. I feel there's seems to be something missing or a slightly cliff hanging, I'm not yet sure if there will be a volume 3, but I wished they have, nevertheless it's a cute–light, and short story of their bittersweet days. It's a must-read.

Rui and Yuujirou have been together since childhood. I assume, in the first book, shows how these two’s relationship deepens beyond friendships. They are a bona fide couple.

However, reality intrudes on their relationship. They are now third years in high school. The two must think about their future: what university to attend, when and how to reveal their relationship to their families and friends.

I thought the relationship between Rui and Yuujirou is cute and sweet. They have their fair show of angst and uncertainties. There are some steamy moments between the two.

Yui is tall but mild-mannered and soft-hearted. Yuujirou is smaller, muscular, and tough. The two balance each other out.

I cannot remember the last time when I read a bl/yaoi where the uke is taller than the seme. It is a nice contrast.

I have not read the first book, but I plan to do so when I find it… I intend to include these two volumes in my collection.

I’ve not read the first book of what I assume is a duology, but we get the gist of what occurred in the first book and it seems to me that this is a very sweet follow-up to volume 1. There’s a strong sense of time passing by through the seasons and years and I think the writing and the drawing style fit together perfectly. It’s funny and sweet, with a hint of angst, which I loved (I like inflicting pain upon myself it seems). There are some spicy scenes in this, but that’s to be expected from a BL manga, but if you’re wondering, they are very tasteful and just the right amount of sexy. In my opinion, there was room for this to be longer, but I’m satisfied with what we get already.

Thank you to Tokyopop and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

A truly delightful, steamy and at times angsty look into the post confession life of our two favorite boys!

Their relationship has never been smooth sailing, due to unrequited love and mutual pinning, but this volume explores lots of third year related topics like university, coming out to their parents and what their like will look like together in the future!

Definitely recommended reading for fans of the first volume! This is a beautiful conclusion to the story!

Dekoboko Bittersweet Days is even better than the first part of the series! It's not common actually, so this surprised me positively. Yuujirou and Rui were childhood friends, but they actually got together already in the first part and now in this second they need to think about the future. High school is over soon and the boys need to think about where to study and it's not necessarily the same place, the same country even. I really loved the realism and how nothing is a real obstacle if you fight for what you love. The slow burn romance and real feelings get through easily and all in all, the manga is heartwarming and melancholic too. Growing up is never easy.

The art looks cute and funny even at times, which is a good counterpart to the somewhat sad feeling lingering over the story. The structure is good and the rhythm too as it flows nicely and steadily. Somehow this second part pulls the story better together and the pace is great. Also, it's always great to read about couple being together instead of just getting together.

Oh my gosh, this is so adorable~ a continuation of DekoBoko Sugar Days, this follows the relationship of Rui and Yuujirou in their third year while deciding what to do with their future after graduation. This is super sweet and there’s some angst around long distance relationship after high school, but I love the way things were navigated and how Rui and Yuujirou’s relationship works out~

An adorable continuation to Dekoboko Sugar Days. I love the flow that their relationship went thru. I was very delighted when I found out that there was a sequel and that this showed us their relationship past high school. Both leads are good at portraying reasonable doubts, hopes, fears and realistic situations in relationships. Highly recommend to read this after the first part to have the sweetest fluffy romance

This is a lovely follow up story to book one. Yuujirou and Rui are in their last year of high school. They are deeply committed to each other but not out to friends and family. The biggest challenge facing them is university. Yuujirou wants to study in Paris and this means the two of them will not be together for four years. Rui feels as if the relationship is doomed and perhaps they should split up, date girls and get married just as their families expect them too.

Eventually true love wins and carries them into the future but they have to take that journey together first. This book in the series is both very sweet but also bitter. The manga artwork is just as good as book one and it is certainly good to return to this couple. I enjoyed this and hope there will be more in this series.
