Kinsley is the princesss of the Fury Vipers MC. While she was once protected at all costs, an unfortunate accident one day changes the whole course of her life and everything she knows. With no more freedom, she is now at the mercy of some of the worst men out there.

Stag, fresh from prison, happens to meet the VP of the Fury Vipers MC at a bar one night and ends up getting a job and subsequently ends up joining the club, a place that will hopefully provide him a sense a belonging and a purpose. The day he sees Kinsley his whole world changes as he is immediately drawn to her; too bad she is off limits and not meant for him. Stag can sense that Kinsley has been hurt and would do anything to protect her.

I was hooked to the story from the beginning. It is extremely dark and twisted, but different from what I have read in other MC books. The author provides a note at the beginning of the book, so if that is your thing, definitely take notice because she is not kidding. While there was so much pain and trauma and darkness, I absolutely loved that KInsley was able to persevere and remain strong and get her HEA. I loved how protective the members of the club and her brother were of her and the loyalty of the members to each other and to Kinsley. I was glad Kinsley's had Malice during the most difficult moments of her life. Lastly, I think Kinsley and Stag had some serious chemistry. While I am not generally a huge fan of insta-love/lust, and there is definitely a bit of that at play when it comes to their relationship, it worked with the story and didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book at all.

This was my first book by this author and I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I always love a good MC book and I am psyched when I can read a new author and be sucked into a story line from beginning to end. I am definitely looking forward to continuing the series and cannot wait to see where the author takes these characters!

Stag is a dark and emotional read. There were parts of the book that are very difficult to read and contain several triggers.
That said the author does a good job creating drama and character development. Stag and Kinsley have an immediate connection that worked for this couple.
Kinsley has been through so much, she deserved to be happy.
There were a few things that disappointed me in the book. The one being her best friend Mackenna and Malice. These two knew what was going on and never stopped it or shady with her brother. It could have stopped sooner.
The ending leaves you wanting more and is left on somewhat of a cliffhanger

This may be even more twisted than the mafia books the author wrote have been. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. She doesn’t sugarcoat the grit and grime and vileness of some MCs and their evil brotherhoods. She doesn’t even allow the good guys to remain unscathed and shiny. So get ready for some heartbreak, some truly awful things done to a woman, and how the right man can help her finally claw her way back to the land of the living.

Kinsley’s loyalty was so far beyond what anyone around her deserved that I wanted to shake her a few times. She knew she was bound only for misery and pain, but she didn’t want to cause a war. She saw all of the lies and the horrors and the evil of those around her, but she didn’t want her brother to suffer. So she kept on enduring the worst life can offer until Stag rode into her life. And even then, these two almost didn’t get a chance to start because Stag was a big dumb man. But when it all came out and when Stag finally faced the truth of his feelings, things finally began falling into place. The lies. The betrayals. All of it. But with the bad comes the good. And the love that Stag has with Kinsley is definitely good.

But just when they think all is good, another surprise comes crashing into them. And while I figured that the wayward girlfriend was also tied to Kinsley’s rock, I was still surprised by what came along with her. So now I have to wait to see how this all works out. And where Malice is. And if the rest of the cockroaches will be sniffed out quickly enough for my bitter heart to appreciate the vengeance they deserve.

Kingsley is the princess of the club until the accident then everything changed.
Stag meeting Ace and joining the Fury mc  gives him a place to belong.
When Kingsley visits after 3 long years he see's her and can't resist but can he discover the truth?.
Great start to the series

I never thought I would find a book that made me sick to my stomach, cry sad and happy tears, and get turned on... but then I read this. I advise you to check trigger warnings before diving in but ugh this book gutted me. It was incredible and im counting down the days for book 2. There were a few repeated lines and words but other than that the writing was great as well.

Stag by Brooke Summers
Fury Vipers MC #1

Dark fantasies exist…they honestly do…if YOU don’t have them then…perhaps move on. That said…if you do…make sure you check the trigger warnings that come with this book because it is not an easy read.

Why…

Well:
* This is after all a 1% MC Biker series and the guys are not necessarily all goodness and light
* 1%-ers might have some gold in them BUT it is not always shiny, bright, and easily visible
* The pain experienced by those on the receiving end is explicit and excruciating

I enjoy a dark steamy story from time to time and this fit the bill. I also enjoy reading new-to-me authors. I prefer MC series that are dark and gritty more than the ones with the brothers not as violent…not sure why…but this book delivered and I felt the men were definitely portrayed as people that would be there for one another, protect those they considered family, and wouldn’t mind breaking a few rules while dealing out their version of justice.

Kinsley was one strong young woman who endured more than anyone should have to. I felt for her and hoped she would eventually get away. I liked Stag as her partner because he would protect and love her and was the type of man she grew up with. They seemed to be made for one another.

As this is the beginning of a series I have a feeling more than one of the bikers will find their Old Lady and I look forward to reading the books when they come out. The hook at the end of this book does lead me to think the next book will be a doozy.

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Some very tough situations/topics. Well done by the author - they serve a purpose.
After her best friend is killed in a car crash, Kinsley is given to the Prez of another MC. Forced at 15 to abandon her home, friends, and family, Kins becomes the toy of the MC - forced to endure years of abuse and pain.
Stag meets Ace at a bar - feeling a sense of family missing from his life for years, Stag joins the Vipers. He enjoys the club bunnies - careful to keep his distance and not mislead. Until the club princess returns home after years away. Stag knows she belongs to him - but how will he convince Kinsley?
Finished in one sitting - great plot, loved the characters and cannot wait for more!

Tough subject matter and not a light read. This book involves two one percent MC’s and a whole lot of abuse involving a minor.

Stag and Kinsley’s story isn’t a fun one but they are good together. This was my first by this author but I’d definitely read more.

Four stars.

I voluntarily left this review after reading an ARC.

This story will just break you heart as you read and see what all happens to Kinsley. Her father the leader of the Vipers motorcycle club trades her at 15 to keep himself from getting caught doing illegal dealings. She goes through unimaginable things for three years of her life. At 19 she is finally able to see her brother and the club members she calls family. One her first visit she meets Stag, who is her brother Ace’s most trusted friend, she starts to have feelings for him. Stag has heard nothing but wonderful things about the princess, Kinsley. He thinks she is the prettiest thing he has ever seen and loves her spirit. Stag starts to feel like something is really off and he is determined to figure out what has happened to Kinsley, while she was supposedly away at school. She shows she is almost broken and he is determined to be the one to help heal her. Will Ace allow Stag to hook up with his sister and will Kinsley finally be free to live her life without fear?

Great first book in this new MC Series.
I am a fan of this authors books so was pleasantly surprised with the cross over from her other series.
Kinsley is such a brave, loyal and courageous heroine and Stag loves her regardless of the scars she bears. This has set up for the next book in the series which I will be reading.

Ooohhhhhhhh well that was a surprise

Dark and deadly is how I would describe this book. It absolutely drags you in, and pulls no punches in the slightest so please go into this book having read the trigger warning.

The characters (not just the main central ones) were so well described and built up within this world that despite only having read one book, this felt by the end I was so familiar and bought into the MC that I was 10 books in.

It feels like this series has legs and that there will be an ongoing storyline passing through here for a while.

A wholly enjoyable story which I am looking forward to seeing continue
