90 days of Blessings. Each day has a Bible Verse and a Blessing for Mom and Child. I could see this become built into your morning and become pertinent to what happened the day before. For instance if your child was struggling with friendship. Using one of the Friend blessings.

I will definitely be giving this as a gift to young mothers and also looking for more books by this author.

Susie’s book is so affirming—uplifting. Words are definitely powerful, and we can add to the burdens or offer strength to others with the weight of our spoken words. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. What life and encouragement we bring to others and ourselves when we truly look at the wisdom of God’s Word, the Bible.

This book shares a special focus on relationships with the Lord and for mothers and children. I feel encouraged and grateful for the example that this book provides, and the selected scriptures are perfect for the blessings that Susie shares!

I highly recommend this book for mothers and their children. Every book that Susie has written that I’ve had the pleasure to read has touched my heart and spirit in positive and uplifting ways. Her books have caused me to want to come up higher in my relationship with God and others in the most affirming and joyful way! I smile to think of how her readers are being strengthened in God and their walk toward Him!

May His Face Shine Upon You by Susie Larson, is a wonderful collection of blessings for mother’s to receive strength and encouragement from, and is followed by a blessing you are able to speak over your children, planting God’s love and joy in their hearts. Susie explains in the introduction that within Jewish culture blessings are part of their lifestyle- constantly receiving and giving out. She challenges the reader to do the same.
Each day’s blessing for mama is so encouraging and allows mama to also provide powerful blessings over their own children. This little book is one I’m sure to revisit over and over.

I enjoyed these very fast daily affirmations with an accompanying bible verse, with actually two for each day -- one for the mom and one for a child/youth. Sometimes they could be for before bed and sometimes in the morning, but you wouldn't know until you finished reading it what that day's affirmation/blessing was for, so I wish that was clarified a bit more. Also, the bible verses are from various versions of the bible, which are usually noted, although a few were not. I'm not sure if this is common in some Christian religions to use multiple versions of the scriptures, as in my faith (the LDS church) we use one set/version. Because this was an ARC from NetGalley, I chose to read multiple blessings at a time to get through it faster than 90 days. I liked that each blessing for each day had a theme so they were similar but the wording would be adjusted to fit an adult or a youth. It does say child, but I feel they would still work great for any youth, a young child old enough to comprehend the blessing (maybe starting at age 5??) up through a teen. I definitely would love to give this a re-read at a the slower, daily pace it was meant for and also to read it with my daughter.

May His Face Shine Upon You, by Susie Larson, is a compilation of 90 brief blessings for both a mother and a child to read each day. They are both instructional and inspirational, serving to teach and encourage. Each day’s selection also includes a relevant Scripture verse. There is also an index included so you can reference particular topics when in need. Susie Larson’s blessings are always beautifully written, applicable and insightful.

I have read almost all of Susie’s books. I love how God speaks to us through her. This beautiful book contains blessings for Moms and her children. I am soaking up every blessing and sending some on to my daughters. I will be revisiting this one over and over again

A wonderful book that encourages mothers to give their children daily blessings from Scripture. Great layout - short and simple. Easy to understand (and keeps attention) for a young child. It would make a great Mother’s Day gift!

I love all of this authors work. What a great gift to share with moms or grandmas. This devotional is a very unique one where there are blessings to reach each day. Definitely one I will share with others about. Sometimes you just need a little help in your prayers and praying over your children and this is a great tool to have.

For years, I’ve been blessed by Susie Larson’s morning and evening blessings.

With May His Face Shine Upon You, Larson pairs Scripture with 90 blessings that will speak life into the days of mothers and their children.

Arranged by topics like grace, forgiveness, prayer, worry, trust, sadness, and God’s promises, this blessing book is a treasure of God’s goodness that mothers will cherish, and through it, children will begin to understand God’s promises for them.

A blessing that especially touched me was “Snuggled by God,” about Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” It’s an evening blessing for a child. Larson writes, “Picture yourself as a baby bird and Jesus as a mother bird with His wing protecting you and keeping you warm. Snuggle up close to Him as you go to sleep.”

This book is a gift to mothers and children. I will give one to a young mother I know.

This is one of the most unique devotionals I have ever read. It includes 90 days of blessings for mother and child. Cute and heartfelt.
This book would be a beautiful way for mother and child to share quiet time. This would even be great for grandmother and grandchild. With each devotion there is a “blessing” for mom and child, words of encouragement and then there is also a scripture reference for each day. What better way to block out the craziness of the world than to read together, blessings written specifically for us? It feels like 90 gifts given by the author.
I would truly recommend this book to my mama and grandma friends.

This is a wonderful book for busy mamas who want to give their children daily verbal blessings from Scripture. Susie Larson’s words are clear and encouraging to both moms and children. It would make a great Mother’s Day gift!

Susie Larson has written a sweet gift for mothers and children. After long and full days, it’s nice to have some quiet time with little ones before bed. This author remembers that Momma may be depleted and needs a word herself before reading a blessing to her children. The little snippets are treasures from the treasury of God’s word. This book would make a wonderful gift for a Momma with young children.

I absolutely love this little book and look forward to holding a physical copy in my hands. "May His Face Shine Upon You" is a small but powerful little book with a clear purpose: to invoke blessing for Mom and for Child.

Each prayer for both mother and child is powerful, truth-focused, and encouraging. It spoke to me as a mother and I want to write out the child prayers - especially those particularly applicable to my child - to pray over her again and again.

Between blessings are bible verses - however, I didn't have any references for the verses and that is an important thing to include.

This is a book that is wonderful to both own and to gift to a friend.

I became a grandma to three kids this year, ages 5 3, and a newborn. I was attracted to this book as a way to help me pray blessings over them. On the day I found out my 5 year old granddaughter needed chemo for eye cancer, I read this blessing "Even when sad things happen, God still loves you and is right by your side. He is so powerful and has big plans for your life. He'll never let you go...God is strong enough to take care of you and will give you the strength you need to face anything" (location 197). It was so fitting and was written in language that she could easily understand. I try to write to her every month and will be including blessings when I do.

There are 90 blessings and there is a helpful index in the front in case you're looking for something on a certain topic. There's a blessing for mom and a separate one for the child. I liked that too as I can be praying a blessing on my daughter as she undertakes the great task of parenting. The words are full of grace and truth. It's very encouraging and I'd highly recommend it.

This book is so beautifully written. I love that each day has two blessings.
The author adds godly insight, wisdom and her beautiful way of writing to encourage Mothers, along with their children. One of my favorite parts of the book is that everyday ends with a scripture. It’s a beautiful hard cover book. You can read through each day or the table of contents allows you choose a subject to quickly access a need. The perfect gift to encourage all the Moms in your life with God’s Word!

I think the premise of this book is a great one; however, I think the introduction could be expanded a bit to give the reader some insight into exactly how the entries can be put to the most optimal use. Yes, reference was made to the Jewish tradition of speaking blessings over children, and reference was made to the fact that "faith comes by hearing," but I felt like I was reading each entry in a vacuum. There was no life application, no suggestion that I might read the mother's blessing during my private devotion and speak the child's blessing over him during a family devotion or mommy-and-me time, etc. I think that's where the book was lacking.

I have not reviewed this book elsewhere as I haven't read all of it.

I loved the style of this book. The short stories and blessings for mom and child were well written and hit exactly to the blessing. Easy to understand for a child and not long for them to be engaged. I like how you can navigate to a certain blessing needed for that day, depending on what is going on in personal lives.
I didn’t love how it was geared toward a certain time of day like bed time etc. but can change it while reading outloud.
