After receiving a TBI while serving his country, Behr returns home but can his biggest fear be the answer to his healing?

An engaging and heartwarming romance with wonderful characters and a plot that does a great job of pulling the characters together despite their own plans. Ellery thinks that she can find a dog to help Behr, and I liked that she was understanding and didn't push him too much. I liked how they bonded over their faith, and helping Ellery's nephew as well.

I think that one of my favorite things was the give and take of the friendship between Ellery and Behr. His family is welcoming and wonderful, I especially liked his father.

Overall, such a wonderful heartwarming read with great characters, pacing and engaging plot. Probably my favorite by this author so far!

Behr is dealing with a traumatic brain injury and his well meaning family members signed him up to have a service dog. Ellery is the women who will pair and prepare him to work with the dog. What she didn't expect was for his fear of dogs. Now she's hoping to help him get used to dog and he's helping her out with her troubled nephew.

So if your of the Christian faith you might appreciate many of the things that happen throughout this book where these characters were very much of faith, god, and prayers. I'm not much into that but I was fine looking past it because you really get a sense of who these people were. I enjoyed seeing that light romance between the two you can tell they liked eachother but there was many things to deal with before they can really see about starting a relationship. I liked seeing the friendship and support they were giving eachother throughout the book. Ellery was going above and beyond her line of work by getting Behr used to his support dog and when things were getting challenging she was there to slow things down or adjust to fix Behr's comfort level. Then there was the whole troubled newphew he was getting in with a troubled crowed back at home and Ellery wanted to help him out as much as she can but limited with time and Behr really stepped up and helped things out with the kid. Overall this was a nice light read I enjoyed it.

I'm a sucker romances that feature our military or Veterans as they are real life heroes I love seeing them as heroes in books. This one was an emotional read but I enjoyed it. It shows that there is no such thing as uninjured solider.

The Veteran’s Vow is the first book that I have read by Jill Lynn. I was a little surprised by how much I enjoyed it and I look forward to reading more her work in the future. This was a fast sweet easy romance. It is heavy on faith, so if that isn’t to your liking reading wise then this isn’t the book for you, but if it is then you will love it. I personally don’t read a lot like this, but was really surprised by how much I liked it. It is about Ellery who started a charity called Helping Paws, which finds, trains, and matches dogs to veterans to be their service animal, and Behr a veteran who has a brain injury and needs a service dog, but there is just one problem he is terrified of dogs. Ellery has her work cut out for her with Behr because she knows that he needs Margo and Margo needs him they are a perfect match, but she has to figure out a way to get over his fear of dogs or at least his fear of one dog in particular, Margo. Will Ellery succeed it helping Behr get over his fear of dogs at least enough for him to trust and rely on Margo to help him every day? Will Ellery and Behr find their way to their very own happily ever after? Read The Veteran’s Vow to find out.

This is a Romance, and this is the third book in the K-9 Companions series. I really loved the characters in this book. I also felt the characters fit together very well. The storyline was great. Behr has a fear of dogs, but he really needs a dog to help with his traumatic brain injury. I love all the dogs in this book, and I had so much fun seeing a dog making someone love again. The romance was slow moving. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired) or author (Jill Lynn) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

"The Veteran's Vow" is a romance. Behr needs a service dog but is afraid of dogs due to traumatic experiences while in the military. His sisters sign him up for a dog, and Ellery challenges him to try to overcome his fear of his service dog. They work together with the help of an expert in phobias. Ellery's troubled-teen nephew is staying with her for a while, and Behr works at a ranch that helps troubled teens. Behr helps him get into the summer program and mentors him. Ellery and Behr grow to care for each other as they work together, but Behr is committed to helping the family of his dead best friend while Ellery is too busy with her service dog program to have a relationship.

Ellery and Behr were both nice people who noticed when something was bothering another person and really listened. They quickly opened up to each other about their struggles and found ways to help each other. And the sweet dog was just perfect for Behr. The main characters were engaging and had depth, coming across as real people with real struggles. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable romance.
