Lincoln will learn of his half brother's existence the hard way, when his reign is challenged and his realm attacked. Another great book in the Angelbound world.

Truman and Lincoln might not be twins, but you could say Truman is Lincoln's evil twin. The opposite of Lincoln in so many ways, he's at the center of a lot of the problems Myla and Lincoln need to face down, and it couldn't have happened at a worse time. Watching Myla and Lincoln grow and change over the course of the series has been fun, and I'm so happy to see that at their cores, they're still the same - Myla a bit snarky, and Lincoln fiercely protective. This was another fun, action-packed romantasy that will have you hooked from the start.

The entire series is a an entertaining journey of vivid imagery, action, humor, fantasy, and a very kick-a** couple. This time around our dear Lincoln finds a brother. Lost? Confused? Devilish? Badboy Truman comes to the front of this with his brand of leadership. Chaos, strife, war, destruction, confusion becomes a staple of the after realm and earth. Why all this is happening comes to Lincoln and his beloved Myla in the form of a secret brother, Truman.

If you are a fan of the series, you do not want to miss this installment. Not at all. You find out so much more about Daddy-not-so-dearest. Lincoln and Myla have a challenge presented to them that can tear apart the after realm and possibly change the dynamic of their relationship and Lincoln.

Christina brings us the deliciousness of her mind and the creations that she put together with action, adventure, a little comedy, and our favorite couple.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!

Christina is a lyrical genius and continues to keep us on the edge of our seats while reading this fantastic story of Lincoln and Myla. Story continues through Myla's pregnancy as her hormones are releasing more of her demon side and Lincoln feels super protective of her. However, an evil brother comes into play that they have to battle and Christina just continues with the Fantastic storyline, magical world building, epic new characters and overall, the hottest couple ever!!

"Christina you slayed it!! WOW!! I've love Lincoln since the beginning and never thought I could love him more but I was so wrong! He's one of a kind there's not doubt about it. How can he be so perfect lol? Plus, Myla is THE QUEEN! Absolutely adored seeing a more mature side of her well all the mature a pregnant woman with a demon side can be lol. She’s hilarious, it’s insane how crazy her mind can be. She started as a lost kid searching for love and answers but now she's stronger than ever and fearless like no one else. Lincoln and Myla as a couple. No one can deny they are the hottest couple ever!! One of the most beautiful marriage in history. Lincoln, sweet Lord, the way she adores Myla had me enamored. If I were a cartoon, my eyes would look like hearts. Now… Truman! Wow and not in the kind of good way. How can he...? *not telling more* but seriously?! Why my baby Lincoln has to pay for Connor's sin? You'll get it, trust me. THAT particularly scene *cough cough* fight was utterly shocking. A huge ovation to Christina for this new story! You're gonna love it and I can assure you'll be on the edge wanting more and more of this incredible couple *wink wink* parents.”

It was wonderful to be back in the Angelfire world and to read more about Lincoln and Myla. If you have read any of Christina Bauer books then you already know she is a wonderful author! Her writing has a way of capturing me every time! The characters are lovely and easy to relate to. I like the touches of humor. The twists and turns were a pleasant surprise. This is the 5th book in the series and so far I have enjoyed every single one of them!

Thank you Xpresso Book Tours and Christina Bauer for sharing this great adventure with me! I'm looking forward to The next book!

I really enjoy reading the world that Ms. Bauer has created from her fairy tales to the Angelbound series. It's always a wonderful time, I enjoyed reading Lincoln's story and this was so well written. It's a great read and I can't wait for more.

I do not know how Christina Bauer can keep the “Angelbound” series so fresh, but Angelfire is fresh in so many ways (chuckle).

Let’s start with the design work inside Angelfire. I love it. It adds to the story. I think my favorite is of Juno. I just stared at the artwork for a while. It’s gorgeous.

I highlighted so many passages that I soon realized that I could not post them all because I would be reprinting the book (chuckle). I love Angelfire. Bauer wrote on Instagram that she was concerned about Myla being pregnant and, in my opinion, snark translates whether you are pregnant or not. Myla and snark go hand and hand and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

There is a Myla flashback chapter that had me chuckling so much, I had to reread the chapter to ensure I didn’t miss any easter eggs. I freaking love Myla.

I said in another review about Lincoln that he is the voice of romance in this couple and Bauer proves it over and over again in Angelfire. Bauer also demonstrates why Myla and Lincoln are a super couple: unwavering support. There is a point in the story that Lincoln asks Myla how come she isn’t peppering him with questions and she basically says in their unique speak: I got you and have faith in you. (sigh)

Bauer manages to cover everything from what children should play with, the type of diapers one should use, circumcision, and even breastfeeding options all the while preparing a kick ass fight scene. I have to confess that Bauer knows how to tangle shit up, so I had to create a family tree once the reveals started happening. Oi vey, a cheat sheet was needed for me because I am just that type of fan.

Impending parenthood does not stop this battle couple in saving their world. There are surprises, betrayals, magic, and the kind of romance you wish happened in the real world. Myla and Lincoln are my vote for Battle Couple of the Decade. Read Angelfire and find out why I think so.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I would recommend this book/the entire series to others. I thought I had a general idea of where this story would go, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised with the unique twists and turns within this story. I expect quirky characters and snarky comments from Christina Bauer books, and this installment continued to deliver. I also really enjoy that books within this series are published out of order. It’s unconventional, but it also allows readers to revisit different events in the characters’ lives. This book was maybe not as fast paced as other books within the series, but still very enjoyable and unique.

This book follows the adventures of Myla and Lincoln as they navigate being expecting parents and also managing their royal duties. Of course, the pair must also unravel the mystery that is Lincoln’s newly discovered brother, Truman. The couple will race the clock to discover Truman’s true intentions before the arrival of their new baby.

Thank you NetGalley and Monster House Books for providing me the opportunity to read this book. I had a blast reading it and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!

Lincoln and Myla are recently married and are experiencing their quickly accelerating pregnancy when they discover that Lincoln has an older brother! If it isn’t hard enough to come to terms with not being an only child, Lincoln also learns that Truman is evil and wants to take over Lincoln and Myla’s kingdom. Will their shared angelic blood be enough to convince Truman to stand down? Is this the final tragedy that will cause the after-realms to fall apart?

Angelfire is the fifth book in the Angelbound Lincoln series. With that being said, this story takes place at the end of the events of Thrax. It isn’t necessary to read these books in chronological order; I find it easier to just read them in publication order. This book is told in alternating voices of Lincoln and Myla, but since it is only two voices, it isn’t hard to follow along. I love these characters and am glad that Bauer has written another story in this world. I can’t wait for more fantastical adventures with a touch of romance.

Angelfire by Christina Bauer.
Angelbound Lincoln #5.
Someone is making life hell for our favorite royal couple, Lincoln and Myla. Natural disasters have the after-realms falling apart. Humans are going to war left and right. And the hottest couple ever can’t find two minutes alone. Sheesh. The problem? Lincoln’s evil brother.Yes, you read that right. Brother. Turns out, Lincoln’s father was a busy guy in his youth… and now Connor’s secret son, Truman, wants his share of the throne. Even worse, Truman is as awful as Lincoln is noble. When it comes to claiming royal power, nothing stands in Truman’s way. Sure, Lincoln is tied by angelic blood to his half brother. But will that connection link them together… or ultimately tear the after-realms apart?
Another great read in this series. I love this author. Wow. 5*.

I was delighted to be reunited with Lincoln and Myla in Angelfire,  the 5th book in the Angelbound Lincoln series.

Our story flings us back in time to Lincoln's 17th birthday celebrations. His grandfather, Raedwulf, whom he only sees once a year is on the scene. Every year they attend and perform in the Achilles Festival, a celebration of sorts to commemorate the imprisoning of Hades for a thousand years. Every year Raedwulf says this will be his last festival, only this year it is.

Flash forward a few years, Lincoln is now married with a very pregnant Myla. Things are not all peaceful and calm though.

Lincoln's father, Connor is celebrating the finding of his firstborn son, Truman, and is acting out of character. Only Lincoln and Myla seem to think there is more to brother Truman than meets the eye. In fact Myla nicknames him TH, Truman-Hades.

Things come to a head when Truman (TH) challenges Lincoln to the Tournament of Kings. Much to the surprise of TH, Lincoln accepts. It is only once they are both shrouded by the battle dome, Truman reveals his true identity as Hades.

Thereby follows an epic battle scene, written as only Christina can. Good triumphs over evil, a safe birth for the son of Lincoln and Myla.

This is a wonderful addition to the story so far and I can't wait to see what follows.
