This novel hooked me from the first few pages when Cecily witnesses the death of her mother in a shocking way. Then we met Rene and travelled to France to learn of Cecily's family curse with some exciting somewhat unexpected twists and turns. I finished this novel in one sitting and recommend picking up this book if you enjoy thrillers.
