I was excited to read this mostly from the title of the book, and it gives good advice for changing your environment to make yourself happier (in small ways, like what you look at and the music you listen to) and how to be mindful. This seems to be in every book about self care nowadays, and this one goes on about it at length including advice for sleeping, eating and exercising. Overall, it was a helpful "self help" book for people looking for very general, yet very specific advice on how to be happy and I would suggest it for people who haven't read a lot of self care books yet.
A very apt title for a very happy little book! This book is a treasure, a mixture of anecdotal evidence as well as that backed by research, 'The Happy Clam' features may practical strategies to boost your happiness.
Chapters are short and snappy, and read well. The book is very readable, aided massively by the personal contributions the author shares.
I absolutely loved that the author shares recipes that are meaningful to her.
My thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review.
