In which everyone is suspected, discarded as a suspect because they seem nice, then suspected "for sure" for sure several more times.
Please sit very firmly in a chair before reading this book. Once the suspicions start flying, they don't stop until the very, very end! I've read books where the culprit was in question, but this was dizzying! Every odd (or even?) time the "evidence" was reviewed, it was absolute proof that one person or another (or another, or another) was the killer! And it was so heartbreaking! Or, it was somebody else, and not a big deal (someone less liked). And don't get me started on handsome swarthy boyfriends! Think musical chairs!
I only wish I had kept a talley by group, accused, and degree of certainty. If done in colors, it would be lively artwork!
If you like cheesecake, this will prime you for a mega dessert buffet. So. Much. Cheesecake.
I enjoyed the advice column requests and replies; Sophie and Natasha definitely have different levels of common sense and humor!
Overall, this book was entertaining and amusing, but not an actual detective story. Using a figurative board game spinner to choose your current accused may increase the drama, but it is not deductive reasoning. Still, I reluctantly give it...

Another winner for the Diva Says cozy mystery series. Delightful characters and a fun mystery to solve.

Sophie Winston has been hired by Bobby Sue Bodoin to put together a desert buffet for Old Town’s summer festival, which will include a production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Bobbie Sue is famous for her cheesecakes and her only request of Sophie is that she not include cheesecake in the buffet. The evening is a success, but the next morning, Bobbie Sue’s husband is found murdered and she’s the prime suspect. She enlists the help of entertaining and part time sleuth, Sophie to sniff out the real culprit. Davis has created likable characters in a small town setting that never seem to get old for fans of this long running series
