This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley. This is a quick summer read...snuggle up in a beach chair with a glass of lemonade...enjoy...the family dynamics...adoption..love and romance...teenagers...children...secrets...aged relatives...a new business...responsibilities...all of these themes run throughout this book...there are red herrings that make us wonder? Really? What? The one issue that bothered me the most was the parents' acceptance of behavior that was not appealing from their teenager...it was never addressed...as if the parents were walking on tiptoes to be liked...that is not realistic...there have to be consequences, and if not consequences, some kind of reprimand or discussion...other than this issue, I enjoyed the book....I look forward to more stories from this talented author...

Touching, heartfelt story with characters who resonate.

THE SUMMER DAUGHTER by Colleen French, is one of the most touching stories I have ever read!
I read The Summer I Found Myself in 2020 as an eARC and instantly fell in love with her Colleen's writing.
Happy to say book two didn't disappoint.
These characters were so delightful and memorable. Natalie was a breath of fresh air. I truly adored her.
She was motivated, fun, and had such a big heart.
Even the other characters had a lot of character development in the story.
McKenzie, Bella and Conor all played a special part in this exciting new novel!
Set in the charming backdrop of Albany Beach, Delaware, it was like I was sitting watching it all unfold right before my eyes!
This book just felt like a warm hug. I could not be more pleased with how much I loved this story.
This is the perfect book to escape! I couldn't have enjoyed it more if I tried!
