Yes, be the author of your own life!
Thank you, Kids Can Press, for the advance reading copy.
I find this picture book to be quite fun and engaging. It will possibly bring out the author/writer in your kid. Not kidding!
The book actively shows how to engage the kids in writing something by themselves and making themselves express with words. Basic beginners and basic writing for them.
I find the illustrations simple and engaging.

A cute story about living into what makes you you and trying to find the themes of what you like in your life.
Thank you to the publisher, author, illustrator, and NG for a copy of this book in exchange for honest feedback. This book follows a character who is meeting an assignment from his teacher to write a story about himself. The other characters in the class talk about their assignments and the mc attempts to draw things that come to mind for his assignment. His doodles and squiggles reflect his talent and skills/hobbies. The rest of his classmates really like his ideas. It's a cute story, my favorite part was the way it was depicted which was the mix of full-page illustration and a comic-strip style / graphic novel style? The actual story was just OK, the strength of this was the design/layout and illustrations for me.
