"You're deep, Linty!'-From Linty

4.5 stars

A very cute short kid friendly graphic novel featuring a tuff of lint in a pocket (that apparently is huge!). The pictures are great, and the whole cast of characters have great expressions. I wished there was a little more time with the other pocket objects interactions, but it had a good ending. A fast, fun read.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Book was really good. Definitely for younger audiences. I would buy for my little nephew. The book talking about the little king being scared of leaving is such a big thing that I think could tie into real world when you have to leave for college or leave home for school when you first start.

I loved this book! It was a lovely read, and linty was a great main character. A book that represents what it is like for many of us to step out of our comfort zone, rather like a bubble surrounding us. For children, visualizing is important, and there are plenty colorful pictures to ensure that they are engaged. Please buy this for your kids.

5 wonderfully-illustrated, adorable, creative stars~

Thanks to NetGalley and Kids Can Press publisher for a digital copy for review ^^

This was a fun and creative read about a little ball of lint that lives in a pair of jeans - all this time he lived with that pair of jeans in a drawer... until along came someone to wear those pants. Then he met a ton of new pocket-dwelling friends. One day he decides to venture out of the pair of jeans and realizes maybe there is more to the world outside.

The illustrations are bright and fun and so are the characters. This would be a really fun series! I'm not sure if this is intended as a fun standalone read or if it will continue on as a longer series, but I hope it does become a series!

I loved this book. It was so cute and the illustrations were visually appealing. Characters had big eyes, were colorful and cute. Children will love the word bubbles and the fun, playful romping of the characters. The story has a positive message of trying new things and exploring the outside world. I can see this book going out right away. I hope to read it for a story group.

This is too cute. I want to be friends with Linty too. For some weird reason, Linty reminds me of Spongebob Squarepants. That same simple-minded innocence.
Wonderful feel-good book for kids and adults alike. The art is adorable.

Read this book to my 6 and 4 year old boys. They loved it! Lots of giggles and laughs. They especially enjoyed the trip through the wash. And I appreciated the bits of “adult” humor (the lollipop song reference). Great, fun kids book!

I fell in love with this book and can’t wait to purchase a copy for my Grade 3 classroom library! This graphic novel follows the life of a little ball of pocket lint from a pair of “too big” jeans in the bottom of a drawer. At first, life is pretty boring, but as a boy grows into his jeans Linty gets to go on adventure and meet friends such as an acorn and a cookie. This book is so cute and funny and I can definitely see my students laughing and enjoying the adventures in the life of this silly character.

The pictures are very well done and thought bubbles are fairly easy to read, so I think this book would be accessible for most young readers or English language learners. Graphic novels are very popular right now and so this book would also be something I think most students would gravitate towards. I so appreciate Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this great new book. I can’t wait to buy a copy and share it with my students!

It's a delightful way to keep children entertained and parents having a good laugh about the things they find in their children's pockets when it comes around to wash day.

It's possibly one of the cutest inanimate object books I've read. The art is perfect to for children; the colors, the style, the shapes. The dialogue is adorable, and I can imagine many children who end up owning this will be asking their parents to read it over and over to them again all because of this cute piece of lint!

A delightful story about a tiny ball of lint who realizes there's more to life than hanging out where you're comfortable. After meeting some new friends, Linty understands that going beyond your comfort zone is a great way to explore all life has to offer. Young kids will love this sweet tale!

Imagine reading a whole graphic novel where the main character is a tiny ball of lint! What creativity!!!

(Don’t be confused by the genre ‘graphic novel’ – this is strictly for little children.)

So, Linty, who is a ball of lint stuck in a jeans pocket, is unaware of life beyond his blue residence. He spends his day entertaining himself with many solo games and exercises. But one day, some new objects unexpectedly land up in the same pocket. (Which, by the way, seems to be astonishingly huge; we girls will never know the benefits of such large denim pockets. Sigh!) Linty finds himself overwhelmed with these new visitors but soon discovers that life is fun with friends around. Unfortunately, wash day is around the corner and these visitors make their move in the outer world. What will Linty’s experience be like in the washing machine? Will he ever meet his friends again? Read and find out.

The biggest USP of the novel is that the concept is unique. Having an entire story with a ball of lint as the hero is definitely not something I would have every imagined. Kids are definitely going to have fun seeing Linty’s ways of spending the day.

The illustrations are cute enough, though Linty seems to be massive in relative size. But I get it; if he were smaller, his expressions might not have come out clearly. I did find the illustrations quite simplistic. Maybe my expectations were too high, considering that the author has been an illustrator-animator for more than 25 years.

This won’t ever be an all-time favourite children’s graphic novel but it will leave its little readers with grins on their faces. It’s silly, exaggerated, and funny, and nothing beyond. Because of the sketches dominating the narrative, this book can be a fun read-aloud for early readers too, as the graphics and sound effects add a lot of fun to the story.

3.5 stars from this adult reader.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I read this funny, silly graphic novel to my 6 years old and she asked to read it again by herself the next day. The story about a piece of lint who lives inside a forgotten jeans. Day after day, it entertains itself by repeating the same routine, and it didn't mind, until he met a bunch of visitors and started to learn how it feels to have friends. The art work is refreshing, and the story is very cute.

Thanks, Netgalley and publisher for this ARC.
This book was very cute—a tiny ball of lint makes new friends and finds out the world is lots bigger than the little pocket he lives in. It’s a good book for early readers—elementary kids would adore this. I could also see this becoming a cute series if the author chose it. Really adorable and quick read.

Word fest and so funny fun to read!

Thank you, Kids Can Press, for the advance reading copy.

This collection is crazy! It reads like a doodle collection with colourful sequential art depicting word play and word games.

It would be really fun to read out loud with kids! I bet you will all fall laughing in between!

I wasn’t a fan of this one. The narrative very clearly should be a children’s book rather than a graphic novel, since a graphic novel implies a higher age group who I don’t think would really care about the adventures of lint. However, the art style and the writing did not look/sound like they were intended for children — the art style made me think this was going to be a weird, raunchy style comic intended for adults (specifically adult men), and the writing style was far too intelligent for most children. Overall, this just was all over the place in terms of it’s intentions and I didn’t get the appeal.

Well that's such a cute and inspirational book for kids of this generation. It's a Graphic novel where A tiny ball of lint named Linty lived all his life alone in a a pocket of jeans. For him The pocket is his home, he's never been out from there, Every he sees the blue fabric of the jeans, He jumps, then he rests.
Untill one day a kid gets to wear that jeans and he enclose the pocket with lollipops, Pen, cookies, can, half eaten pizza, broccoli and many more things. For him they are new.

The story continues how he manage to be fuzzy, make friends, do out of the box and meet a bigger world than just a blue pocket.

I loved how it's illustrated and written in a jolly mind and kids will get to learn there's always bigger chances left, bigger world to explore and never not getting feared to explore! It's fun to explore!

Thank you Netgalley and Kids can press for providing me an early copy of this cute book.

Linty: A Pocketful of Adventure is an adorable graphic novel that explores themes of friendship and getting out of your comfort zone. My seven year old thought the book was funny and I enjoyed the tongue in cheek jokes as the pocketed items talked with one another. This is a great book for young readers who are starting out with graphic novels. Cute, colorful illustrations and a simple witty storyline are Linty's strong points.

This kids graphic novel is so unique and funny! Who knew a story with pocket lint as a main character could be so entertaining.

All of the characters were cute and were random items that could be put in pockets. Of course the washing machine caused some drama too.

The pictures are bright and colorful. The flow of the book is easy to follow and would appeal to elementary aged kids. It held the interest of my first a d third graders.

A solid 5 stars from my kiddos!

This is just a silly and fun read, The Marco Polo was adorable and I really enjoyed reading that part out loud to my niece, Especially once the other “moved in” with him. lots of giggles to be shared throughout this book. Although there is no lesson here it is quite a cute read.
